    Attractive travelogue filmed in and around Delhi's Qutb complex.
    This attractive travelogue, by turns picturesque and statuesque, is centred on the imposing ruined structures of the Qutb complex at Mehrauli in south-west Delhi. The filmmakers also film scenes of the community life surrounding the complex - images with a distinctly pastoral flavour. Like many early travel films, this French production itself travelled widely - hence the existence of an English language version for the Anglo-American market.

      @Ranjit Tyagi But the world changed more in last 111 years than it did at any other time in history. It took humanity over 5000 years to go from horse to car. It only took us 66 years to go from the first plane to landing on the moon.

    • @daemonzap1481
      @daemonzap1481 Před 3 lety +1

      @Ranjit Tyagi Some feel better, others don't. Personally, I would've preferred to live at a different age. However, I feel like people fail to appreciate the vast difference that has happened in the past 100 years. There's such a large cultural change that people don't act or dress similar to people 100 years ago. There's a bigger change in this history than at any point ever. We're at the beginning of a new age, the second millenia. And we're less related culturally and technologically to people from 1,000 years ago than those people were living back in year 1,00 to their ancestors 1,000 years ago (0AD).

      Not really. Delhi started getting polluted immediately after the introduction of automobiles, infact it was even more polluted in 1930s due to more emission of pollution from vehicles.

      It's very definitely from 1910! It was made by a French cameraman on 35mm for Pathe - collections-search-internal.bfi.org.uk/staff/Details/ChoiceFilm/150017083
