I attended Sunday service at the church in Shimla in 2010 and there were quite a few people in the congregation, more than shown in this documentary, and in addition to the English service they have a Hindi service which is better attended so hopefully this church is still doing well.

Precisely! His "Stones of The Raj" (especially episode 2 on Lahore Railway (my city) is so well researched and presented that it is a joy to watch), "White Mughal" is so tragic. The current atmosphere of bigotry by prime minster Modi and his BJP seems to have muted many experts unfortunately.

It's my request to the present government of india that it's must preserve the old charms of shimla that is to say the Vice Regal Hall. The government must also make a alternative solutions for the owners of the Shimla of the British Raj. Shimla must retain its old charns. Government of india must find permanent solutions to preserve the old charns of Shimla for which it's was once known to the world.

India does not want to remember the Raj, or what it left behind! That episode in Indian history is anathema to this day. On a recent visit, I found the surviving victims of the Raj, trying to cope with the pressures of modern India. It is a hopeless situation. Many are dependent on foreign money being sent by uncaring relatives!

You can't speak for the whole of India, or the whole of the world. No one is forcing you to pay attention or visit Simla.
