I just went through a tiny hurricane knocked power out 8 days unexpectedly. Jackery was great if I could charge it somewhere but it ended up cloudy and rainy the whole week and couldn't charge with solar. If you don't have a regular generator for back up you may want to consider one. I ordered one after this experience

Love these reviews and screw the people that give you shit about them. My wife and I like to go boondocking in our travel trailer sometimes so products like this make it easier to do that, and we trust your opinion.
Hey Joe, just think if you connect solar to any of those portable power stations while you are at the tent you'll have endless free power. Just set up a solar stand near the lake that will get sunlight all day long, run you a solar cord to your tent from the solar panels that you can plug directly into any of those power stations you have and you'll have all the power you need. Great video thanks for sharing the information.

To be clear, it’s not a generator.
Not a gas generator but ....to be clear....it most assuredly is a solar generator when using solar to charge it.

What happens if the usb ports on the solar panel cord gets caught in the rain and gets wet. Will it corrode?

My house is already wired for a generator and I don't see buying one of these. I need something to run a welder or plasma cutter using it out on my property.
You would need a unit that is bigger than this one. They do make them.

One thing about this and other backup power generators is that up at Duck Camp, you have more opportunity to use electrical equipment and charge up other items like phones, power packs, MP3 players, etc.
If you call them they will tell you right away, getting passed the recordings is a challenge though, their really good at replying?...

@charlieretro have you tried pricing out the individual components to build your own? I was going to build one, but the deal on Prime day was way cheaper, and better, than if i tried to build from scratch.
I had to stop the video after 24 seconds what has happened to this channel bought and paid for by big corporations. So sad
He's real clear about these vids and which are ads. If you watch a lot of YT content, which I do, you'd know nearly every channel is sponsored/doing ads for something. I'm pretty sure Joe had bills to pay like the rest of us. And, it's not like he's not actually using these things.

There are a lot of us who are interested in these since we have RVs, cabins and such. He lets you know in the title so you don't have to watch if you don't want to. It ties into his channel and he shows how he is using them.
@@merlynalexander He actually does use them, he's got the bigger ones in his basement as a backup to his drain pumps and other stuff.
He's said before that he enjoys making these videos. You don't have to watch them.
