- Welcome fellow bookworms! This Weekly Wednesday Read is "My Sergei" by Ekaterina Gordeeva with E.M. Swift. A beautiful love story, but really a lot more than that. I think it is a beautiful journey of womanhood and I am so glad I revisited this one. Happy Birthday to my mom. Thank you for all the memories I have including ones revolving around this figure skating pair and reading this book for the first time as a teenager. It is not necessary to be a fan of romance or figure skating to enjoy this beautifully written book.

I really enjoyed this book. It's such a beautiful love story. I loved how honest and sincere Katia was throughout.
The love they had really comes through. It really is beautiful. A big part of that was probably because of her sincerity.
I am a fan of the couple....watching them perform, witnessing their love embodied in their performance, is so relaxing and mesmerizing at the same time.... Thank you. I believe their story is powerful enough to inspire young people to truly love....
They were an inspiring couple. I always enjoyed watching them perform with my mom. Reading their story is so moving. I am actually planning on rereading it again this month.

Happy birthday to your mom! My Sergei sounds beautiful. I love watching figure skating, it’s very nostalgic to me as well. I also love cultural differences and reading about them. I remember when I first went to the US I thought I was on another planet😬And then when I came back to Europe, Europe felt weird haha
Thank you. My Sergei is so beautiful. My favorite part was her own personal note to Sergei in the front. I couldn't read it, but I thought that was a lovely and personal touch. I haven't traveled outside the US, but even within some places feel so different. I watch a lot of people from different places here on CZcams and can imagine how alien feeling it can be to travel here from different places.

It really is beautiful and heartbreaking.
Yes. It's hard to believe Sergei is gone. He was so sweet, handsome, and strong. Dear God gave him to us for only a short time. It's good that we have this book, and CZcams videos of their skating to watch.

You can look it up online. Looks like you can order it from Amazon. I also use Thriftbooks often (though quality can be hit or miss) and there are copies available there as well.

Voljela bi pročitati knjigu i da je imam. Ali na žalost to nije moguće zato što nema prevoda na srpskom jeziku.
