I think I was 12 or 13 when I got Alive I from a neighbourhood friend (while my Kiss-introduction was Dynasty’s Sure Know Something when I was eight).. I was immediately blown away by 100.000 Years.. I remember as a starting drummer that through trial & error I succeeded in playing the tribal groove of Peter’s solo. Purely by listening and playing on feel I discovered the triplets and accents in there while playing the bassdrum on every beat. I remember being hooked on that part and it really opened the door for me to dive deeper into playing-technique..

These episodes are little gems. Thanks Julian for the effort in all of these! Listening to the live segments brings to mind that KISS should release a 50th anniversary Alive! with all 5 shows used for the record fully mixed and restored just as they were recorded. That would be appreciated by any KISS fan.

Back in the late 80’s ! I got a 5 track demo tape of songs ! 100,000 years is on it ! They were really awesome to hear in those early versions ! Kiss video / audio vision was how I got them ! Through the mail! The ole fashion way ! Space ace Ron ⚡️⚡️⚡️
