I kinda guessed this recip saw must be coming out soon so I just had to watch out for it popping up for sale online!, im currently watching out for the pruner and the 3” cut off tool!, don’t worry my friend your still the no1 makita reviewer in the world I’m just trying to snap at your ankles like a small teal coloured dog!!! 🤟🤟

    Thanks John! Excellent review! I’m buying one now based off your review. I’ve never liked the two handed recip saws but recently used a Milwaukee single hand version similar to this. It was great but I think Milwaukee are highly overrated (mostly due to reliability ). I work on an iron ore mine in Western Australia and we use Milwaukee at work. Their battery design is flawed. They can’t deal well with abrasive dust which makes the batteries hard to remove with their two squeeze buttons, but the fatal floor is they don’t have the rubber dampers like Makita. My 3/4” rattle gun failed because the vibration makes the battery terminals vibrate and they eventually arc erode away until it won’t run. I still have some Panasonic tools which I like but I decided to go with Makita for all my home tools. Similar range to Milwaukee but they seem to place a higher value on ergonomics and long term durability than Milwaukee. Smart choice and great video. The football in the background gives your review, authenticity, money can’t buy. Respect brother!✊

    Hi Jon, you mentioned anti vibration technology. The bridging below the trigger from motor house to battery transport will actually help distribute the vibration better. The goal is to eliminate it as much as possible right. I've tried all the big brands and I can without a doubt say makita has the smoothest and most reliable tools in a number of categories. Full size sawzalls included. I'll test this one handed out later this week but I fully expect makita to bring the same ease of use.

    Yes, the goggles-thing. My brother did some work on a drywall over head. Simply putting some screws on. Something got in his eye, no emergency. Two days later, the eye did make big problems and he had to go to hospital. They had to operate a metal spark out of his eye (from a screw I think). How wobbly is the blade? I bought a £20 Makita knock-off that looks similar which has been great for work cutting plastic pipe. Only issue is it's a bit wobbly on the blade, so tricky to get a straight cut.

    • @UKTOOLTALK
      @UKTOOLTALK  Před rokem

      Oh hi friend, in my opinion there is always a little wobble in recip blades especially if the blade is quite long, it seems the worst when just starting a cut tho, this recip has a very good multi speed trigger so you can start really slow and then build up, its really good with hardly any wobble, is there any play in the shaft which comes from the motor?, on the makita there is no play at all and is a really good bit of kit!, hope this has been some help sir 🤟🤟

    • @UKTOOLTALK
      @UKTOOLTALK  Před 10 měsíci

      Oh hi friend great comment!!, are you trying to start a new thread? Is it going to be a debate about whether or not I’m drunk?, I love it that instead of asking me if I was drunk while filming this video you decided to ask other viewers who watch the video!!, how many responds will you get? What with be the conclusion? What was your thought process? Why didn’t you ask me straight out? Did you think you would get a better answer asking the viewers, in a way I agree with you ie getting the viewers reaction to the video and the opinion about how i delivered the video, firstly let’s clear this up I wasn’t drunk buuut I have been a little drunk in a few of my videos! Can you guess which ones?, obviously how I come across in this video has led you to believe that I was inebriated but it’s just my style of delivery, case in point most youtube videos (95% I recon maybe more) are delivered in a boring flat monotone and are all the same in format and are designed to work well with the youtube algorithm,im of on the fringes of youtube and don’t play to the algorithms!, this has cost me dearly in regards channel growth, let’s look at the facts!, my early next years my channel will hopefully have had a million views but only 2 and a half thousand subscribers, so the vast majority of viewers who have watched my channel haven’t subscribed! Yes there is a trend for folks not subscribing to channels even tho they liked what they see be come on im running on less that half a percent of folks who watch my channel subscribe!, you could say hang on a minute jon you haven’t got loads more subscribers Because your channel and videos are totally crap!!, that’s a point of view but does it totally stack up? Maybe or maybe not, is CZcams a creative space? Apparently im called a CZcams creator, im trying to be creative with interesting and quirky videos but that doesn’t fit with the CZcams algorithms, if my videos were formulaic and just copy’s of soneone else’s videos with no swearing my channel would undoubtedly be allot bigger!, hell I might even be able to monetise it!!!, but hey ho here we are and to be honest if you think I was drunk while filming this video that’s cool 🤟🤟
