- Ramp Srart procedure on Falcon 4.0 Allied Force.
To activate NWS (Nose Wheel Steering), at the end :
the right "shift" key and the key just left of it
(in the US, it's "/").
You must enter the simulation at least 30 minutes
prior to your Take-Off time. Here's how to change
this on a tactical engagement :
• Ramp Start option in F...
Also, the #2 Training mission : Take-Off allows you to
select "Ramp Start", since the simulation start time is
at least 30 minutes before your take-off.
Click on "Ramp" before the countdown
reaches T-25 minutes
If there's a Virtual Fighter Squadron in your area, don't hesitate to contact them for help. I'm sure you'll get plenty.
Before asking questions, please look in the manual.

Holy shit, I remember 10 years ago, after I installed game, it took me 2 weeks for first cold-start to work right. AMAZING game.
Thanks man i go to try this toturial ;)
thank you soo much dude.
Nice video Tuvok, could you make video about shutting down the engine and all the systems after landing? the manual doesnt give very detailed info about that procedure.
Go at 1:18. the switch just bellow the one being activated should be all the way back in order to remove that.
But sometimes, I like to have that info on the HUD.
A little tip : read the manual.
@johnnymclaneutah Good idea. There's no video on that.
Page 61 of the manual, after the description of the
#9 training mission, landing final approach, you have
a shut-down procedure.
@tence89 I think I know what's your problem. Be sure your throttle is pulled all the way back. When it works it's bwcause the throttle is correctly positionned. When it does'nt wort, the throttle is not at zero. I sometimes had this problem. What I do now: after a mission has ended (weather I ejected, was destroyed, crashed, landed safely or simply decided to end it), I pull the throttle at it's zero position. That way, it's ready for the next startup.
Google "falcon 4.0 allied force pit trainer".
A nice little Flash programm that shows what everything in the cockpit is for.
@QAFtuvok101 oh thank you very much man!!!
@layr89 If you look closely at 0:36 it was already on.
Where is the throttle idle.

BTW, it's the Falcon 4.0 Allied Force manual.
@tence89 Difficult for me to help you, if you follow the procedure in the manual (pages 19 and 20), you should be able to start your engine.
When i turn on my HUD it doesnt show up. And also it will not let me turn on RWR power, i click it but it doesnt light up?
I just bought the game and I can't get to the ramp start screen. It will only let me start from the runway and from the take off screen. please help. I know to go to the training screen and it will show takeoff, but I only see three ways to take off and one of them is the ramp start, but it want let me click on to it. What do I need to do to get to ramp start? Thanks

Ramp Start option in Falcon 4.0
In short, the star time of the game should be at least 25 min before take-off time (I prefer 30 min).
Nothing is lit up, didnt miss any steps. If you could help out that would be great!
i need help. when i do the ramp start and when i land i can not turn the airplane with the front wheel. it only does the rudder. does anyone know what is wrong?
@mark1215 Read this video's info section.
0:15 Main Electric Power ?
I don't know exactly.
But DO turn it on.
You must click on "ramp" before the countdown reaches T - 25 minutes.
@johnnymclaneutah CHeck out my new video on the Shut Down procedure.
It's basicaly a reversed Ramp Start.

You need to enter the simulation at least 30 minutes before your Take-Off time.
Here's how to change that on a Tactical engagement :

If I'm not mistaken, the training mission #2 : Take-Off gives you the opportunity to select "Ramp".
Try to find a Virtual Fighter Squadron in your area, I'm sure you'll find nice people who will help you with pleasure.
