For the hand loader, the 360 Buckhammer is the best choice. It uses .358 bullets. 👍
350 legend is pretty easy to reload as well. I've even seen loads with the copper solid 9mm reloading projectiles
But the 350 isnt .358...

350 Legend is the easy choice. Fits in an AR platform. Lots of loads including subsonic if you want to shoot extra quiet. Honestly, it obviates the need for something like 300 Blackout. Lots of power for mid-range shooting. So versatile.
I have 350 legend and 300blk. 300blk was easier to switch to from 5.56 because 300blk supers work in 5.56 mags. 350 legend needs different magazines but it does hit Harder than 300blk inside of 250 yards. 300blk has better ammo availability, too. Overall though, I do like 350 legend better since it has more energy with both subs and supers. 300blk would be better for HD since its reliability is proven
I haven’t looked yet but what is the availability and price difference of the .400L and the 360BH compared to the 350L?

What rifles are chambered for the 400 or 360? Slew of them in 350.
They need to promote 350 legend as a self defense round cause it’s a really good round out of an ar platform, if you like 9mm it’s more powerful same bc, just a 9mm in a 222 case. 180 grain soft points are pretty devastating out a 16 inch barrel and cheap. 30 rounds of 350 legend is gonna wreck anyone’s day that’s trying to break in, I just got some 164 grain external hollow points have them loaded with 27.5 grains of powder can’t wait to see what it does to gel it’s gonna be devastating more weight and more then twice the speed of g9 with the same bullet design it’s gonna be more devastating then a 12g slug.
I hear there is a new cartridge in 41 Great Lakes in development. Sounds very promising with long range capability compared to 350, 360, 400, and 450.
I doubt if those are ever seriously adopted to warrant enough bullet manufacturing. Ill stick with the .444.

Actually…… I feel the 400 Legend is probably equal of maybe superior to the 360 BH
The 360 BH true velocity out of a 20 inch barrel is 2174 ….with the 200gr bullet ….
The 400 L is getting 2250 with a 215gr with a larger diameter pointed bullet
So both have a advantage over the popular and proven 350 Legend
There is a presure difference that favors the BH. Also is slightly longer and better bullet selection.
I am so tired of all these new proprietary cartridges. I have got Cartridge Fatigue. The industry has pissed me off to the point I am no longer interested! Prices for brass and primers so high and ammo. They can go pound sand!
For me it's all about price and availability. I love 7mm'08 but can't find it and when I do it's more than even 6.5 creed

What will be interesting to see is when the 400 Buckhammer will arrive. A rimmed 40 cal case would be neat to see. Nothing in a true 40 cal rimmed rifle cartridge has shown up in a lot of years. The 40-65 was neat, the 40-72 Sharps was nice, and Winchester's 40-82 was great in the 86. It would be a barb burner with some modern smokless powder.

I have both 350 and 450 being my go to but the 350is in ar platform faster second shot but never have needed with the 450 lol
@@ianstrachan9410 i dumped a 378lb hog at 301yards with the 450 i think i was 18+ inches above his back when i took the shot
.360 Buckhammer is a clone of the best leveraction caliber ever, the .35 Remington. That's as good as it gets.

Too late already bought the 350 legend but I do want a 360 Buckhammer
When loaded properly in a 24” barrel the 360 Buckhammer can easily duplicate the 356 Winchester and nearly that of the 358 Winchester.
Only Henry makes a rifle for this so far, I think CVA should chamber it in the Scout rifle.

Because Henry and Remington wanted a new gimmick caliber in the 360 Buckhammer to sell more guns and ammo, even though nobody asked for it.

No doubt Ron Spomer has industry connections. The gun companies know that by putting their products out via CZcams and other social media sites they get plenty of exposure to the public.

I have a marlin 38-55 that I load 265 grain HP to 2000 fps. Slaps hogs around like a pimp
Yep my father killed a bobcat with it at 60yds with irons on a Marlin 1893.
I also have a marlin 1893 in 38-55 but mine was made in 1893 so i cant shoot loads that hot in it

Hate to disagree with on of the greats but 400 even with only one ammo option really is the equivalent of the 360 bh if not a bit better, velocity and energy wise that is I think with some more ammo options this will be even more prevalent.
Wish the 350 was actually a 358. There would be a lot more options for projectiles.
when did 400 legend come out? never even heard of it before. if its new youd think there would have been some hype and advertisment about it.

????? With current factory ammo Remington advertises the 360 as a 200 yard + cartridge where as the 400 legend has enough energy to be leathal on deer at 300 yds and has soposedly taken a mule deer at 280 yards so is the 400 really in the middle of the 350 and 360???

What is Hilarious is that the 400 Legend and the 360 Buckhammer use the same case! Run a 360 buckhammer case through a 400 legend die and you have a rimmed 40 cal. If you aren't trying to play Rambo you can run a 400 case through a 360 die, load 180 grain spitzers and have a dandy of a light, mid bore bolt action. I'd like it on a Small Ring Mauser please.

Need a 6.5mm Grendel with a hollow cavity like the 7N1 with a steel Core boat trail and use a magnum primers for all whether burn

@@RCgenral no, just for rifles. A rifle should have rifle ballistics or trajectory.
@@JohnSmith-rr8zz understandable, but on the trajectory subject the 350 legend has ballistics pretty similar to a 30-30 which is a necked cartridge
@@RCgenral true, but at 200 yards I don't want a cartridge that is already falling. What's the difference at say 500 yards in trajectory? 270 win or 30-06

This is Gun manufacturing/ cartridge manufacturing summarized…. Let’s keep splitting the differences unit we’ve got 6 -8 cartridges that all do the same job , then the manufacturers, Let’s make 15 different rifles too …
I agree with you, I think it's all just a marketing scheme to make more money. Create a new caliber to sell more ammo then cut out production of said ammo and a new caliber just pops up I quit playing their games several years ago.

you know I love your channel. the only reason gor any of these straight walls is if the government doesn't allow necked casings in your area.
Why make any of these when .450 bushmaster is moving at pretty much the same velocity, with a bigger heavier bullet, with plenty of manufacturing support for ammo. I know that recoil sensitivity plays a factor for some, and in that case yes something like the .350
Legend makes sense. The .400 legend on the other hand is pointless when the .450 bushmaster is already an established, successful, and approved straight wall hunting caliber option for states with those requirements.
.350 Legend has the advantage of being an easily affordable intermediate sized cartridge that is accurate and very effective at dropping deer sized game. 180gr Power Point is still less then $30 a box and the 350Leg white box is about the same price as 5.56 green tip anymore.
Plus, you have 20rd mags for 350leg.
