Saudi Arabia - Riyadh and Dammam | Vlog Part 1 | Hitchhiking Across the Arabian Peninsula | GoPro 12

Welcome to the first part of my journey through Saudi Arabia. I intentionally divided the vlog into two parts for overall length and also to cover more of Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
My journey began in Dammam, where I spent several days. I first visited the city on November 6, 2023, then headed to Qatar. Upon my return, I stayed for two days and moved on to Bahrain. During my third visit, I used Dammam as the starting point for a grand tour of Saudi Arabia.
The train journey to Riyadh took about 4 hours, and I had to travel in business class as regular tickets were sold out. In the end, it was a pleasant comfort, including a lounge before boarding the train. A significant change came after arriving in Riyadh. The accommodation was cheaper, though the quality was a bit lower. Nevertheless, it was a good location for exploring Riyadh.
On the first day in Riyadh, I visited the Al Masmak Palace Museum. I highly recommend this place; the entry is free, and it serves as a museum. Nearby, you can find the Imam Turki Bin Abdullah Grand Mosque and the Dirah Abaya Market. Another significant step was a visit to the Kingdom Centre, where an observation deck is located 300 meters above the city. The day concluded with exploring the Al Rajhi Mosque.
On the second day in Riyadh, I rented a car and went to see the Edge of the World. On the way back to the city, I stopped at the Al Bujairi Heritage Park. The day ended at the Red Sand Dunes in the desert, where I waited for the magical sunset.
In conclusion, I visited the local museum, The National Museum, in Riyadh, surprisingly with free entry. The museum consists of a section dedicated to the history of Saudi Arabia and another part devoted to the journey of Mohammed from Mecca to Medina. The day concluded in the beautiful King Abdullah Park.
