- I'm related to a killer. My 5th cousin, Lizzie Borden, was an American woman who was tried and acquitted for the August 4th 1892 axe murders of her father and stepmother in Fall River, Massachusetts. She was never convicted of the crime, and the infamous case still remains a mystery today. Nobody knows who murdered her parents, but many still believe it was her. Watch the whole video until the end to find out the special announcement!

As a Genealogist, I find this video fairly interesting. At first when you said fifth cousin I was like why would you make a video about this, that’s such a distant relation it doesn’t even really matter. But when you showed the line of relation I see how this may be of slight importance. Which makes me think, how from one perspective can a relation seem more legitimate then from a different perspective of the same relation to someone else. I mean it’s fair to say in this phrasing I’m related to Glenn Miller, were 13th cousins, but the line is not straight at all so it basically doesn’t matter. But if I were to say the same about a fifth cousin of mine, they’re about the same relation, and if they had any fame it would be something that I could claim and it wouldn’t sound utterly ridiculous. I looked further into such phenomena and it basically boils down to the relation through your main line of genetics or, in other words where your last name comes from. That seems to play an important role in how you see someone as a relation to you. Which is something that I’ve never thought about before, strange considering that this is the sort of stuff that I spend most of my time doing. Thanks for this enlightenment.
it's 1st cousins 5 times removed, her direct descendants would be 5th cousins to seth

Even if Lizzie Borden is guilty, she wouldn't be considered a "serial killer."

Serial killers kill more than two people, once you top out at three or over three the FBI considers you a Serial Killer.....so she's not a Serial Killer.....unless she killed other people.
@@knk0_4 it takes a little more than 3 sometimes, serial killers are also known to do it for the sport of the kill, aswell as having habits that they continue to act out and be partial too during the commitment of said crimes.
for example signatures are a real big thing among serial killers. its a game to them, and they want you to have something to call them. they want you to romanticize their name and give them something like the golden state killer as a moniker. they eat that shit up like blue Michelin star crab from Gordon Ramsey.

I mean my grandpa was a police officer and he has killed and my cousin great grandfather sadly was a slave just a fact about my family
He's not a killer if he used self defense.
My great grandfather killed a soldier in algeria war i have his photos when he was a warrior
thats facinateing
Lizzie Borden was not a serial killer. Not unless she killed more people than her mother and father.
Which she was accounted for.
Still shes a murderer even if not a serial killer if she is responsible for it
It was NEVER PROVEN SHE KILLED ANYBODY AS SHE WAS ACQUITTED!
This is pretty damn fascinating
You can't deny it at all. You have her eyes for sure.
I have no ancestors who are famous, but my BFF’s great grandmother was survived one of those Jewish camps during hitlers reign of terror.
Yoooo my great grandmother and her sister were survivors of it too, unfortunately she died a few years ago
@@Trixtonite I’m sorry for your families loss.
my great great grandfather probably got enslaved by the japanese back in ww2 then probably fought for my country's independence
@@ppprenxx sorry if you don’t mind me asking, Why do you say probably?
@@NashTheInsomniac cos i'm not quite sure, but when i search the internet, i saw that the japanese came to the parts where my family lived, so i think he probably got enslaved or help his people for the country's independence. And my grandfather worked for the government
I'm related to a French man who really didn't want to go back to France when he was in Newfoundland during the time Britain and France were fighting over Canada. While they were sailing out of the harbour, he literally jumped overboard and swam back to shore. This honestly makes a lot sense that I'm related to someone like him.
I'm from Newfoundland and I'm related to the captain of the ss kyle
wow lol
@@user-xe5eq9br1c I also seen the SS kyle
How do you look up your ancestors?
@@Bruised_knuckles Fellow Newfoundlander!!
Wow thanks for this great video vary interesting
I'm related to her too. My great-grandmother was a Borden, so I don't carry the name. My family still lives near Fall River though, and I've visted her grave. The house where the Bordens lived is currently a bed and breakfast.
oh didn't watch the whole video lol
