- WCCO traveled to Normandy, France to profile three veterans who served in World War II. Two survivors are attending D-Day celebrations June 6, 2024, the 80th anniversary of the allied invasion.

ps : What you could have mentioned is that the American Cemetery located at Colleville-sur-Mer (near Omaha Beach) is actually an American territory ! The land was given to the U.S after the war. So basically, this is like an embassy where France has no authority, hence only the American flag is raised ;-)
