I don't understand the language but the enthusiasm and deep feeling with which these Ukrainians sing their songs shrink my heart and bring tears to my eyes. This brave Ukrainian people as well as the Russians deserve to live in peace, brotherly peoples should help each other and there's no need to fight. No war is justified. Please stop this nonsense war. Thanks Ukraine for showing the world the value of courage. May God save Ukraine. Long live free Ukraine.
Yes! I agree!!
I very much agree to your comments. So sad and how great the Ukrainians are.
El Tícher, thank you for your wise words!!
Wonderful! Long live UKRAINE
Here it is, Ukrainian culture with all its ancient traditions, emotional sincerity and complexity, amazing diversity and unique beauty - Slava Ukraini!
#StandWithUkraine
Here in Central Texas, it's heartening to see the ever-growing number of quartered blue-and-gold flags flying on front porches and along neighborhood streets and rural highways. Yes! We proudly stand with Ukraine!
Vlad Saffron, glory to Ukraine!!!
Praying 🙏🏽 daily for BEAUTIFUL UKRAINE 🇺🇦…May GOD put and END to the DICTATOR’s MADNESS. 🙇🏻♀️🫶🏽🇺🇸

I love you 🥰 Peace to you and yours 🙏🤲
Thank you for putting this together. I wish we could all just make beautiful music and get along together. It could be a good world.
James Couch, thank you and you are absolutely right in your words : ))
🤣i have no idea of what is being said tthe voice and artisry is beyond borders English is
Primary language i mbmmmmm will try. To. Learn French. This would make my..late..hubby happy.
As others have commented, you don't need to understand the language to feel the passion of many of these songs. Miss Ishchenko's song was hauntingly beautiful, and obviously of great significance to the listeners.
Оксана Муха my favorite!
I find new-to-me favorite performances in this unique and very beautiful collection (Izmalkova! Soloviy!). Of a certainty, I will ever be most deeply touched by Inna Ishchenko with her multi-stringed Ukrainian bandura (23:44). Echoes of her voice and music play in my mind, over and again, especially during these outraging and saddening times in history. 💙💛💙💛
Cholla Ranch, thank you!
These Ukrainian folk songs are a delight to our ears, aren't they?
Beautiful, even when I don’t understand the words!! 😍😍 Thanks, my friend! 💁🏻♀️💕💕
Ithil Nin, thank you so much, ever : ))
maravilloso
Emozionante.....Forza Ucraina 🇺🇦🙋♂️🇮🇹
Wonderful Ukrainian songs. The culture of a people with a thousand-year history. It's fine🇺🇦
The Clip from Khrystyna Soloviy was breathtaking. Bravo!
I also love the thumbnail of this video 😊
👋🎵👋🎵👋
Quintus, thank you so much! Your comment is very welcome : ))
A kiss fo You Pure. 💕
If someone interested, Khrystyna Soloviy became HUGE after voice, like top-3 female pop artist. Oksana Mukha, Khayat and LAUD (Vlad Karaschuk) are also notable artists. Not bad conversion rate for a talent show, eh?
Oh and Kamaliya is like meme on our scene, yes, she can sing, but is everywhere mostly due to investments of her sheikh-like husband
Thank you for the explanation of Kamaliya!!
Nandor92, thanks for your support : ))
God's Speed To All Of you ❤ John Barnett aka A Voice In The Mall, California love ❤ revisited May 4 2024❤
Ya z Gretsiya i ya hotsu vam skazati shtso RAZOM DO PEREMOGI.
SLAVA UKRAINI!!!
SLAVA ZCU!!!
I don't understand the language but I love the músic and voices... Love from Portugal ❤️❤️❤️
Ukrainian culture is VENUSIAN! Beauty, harmony and soul is always evident in their songs, music, and dress. Adore these brave and artistic folk! P.S. Russian language and culture strike me as so harsh and primitive in comparison.
Interesting compilation. Thank you for introducing me to the Voice Ukraine in the first place; it's easy to see that it's one of your favorites. I don't know of any other Voice franchise where they sang so many folk songs. Thanks for the post.
eco2geek thanks and yes this is one of my favourites : ))
Kamaliya 💖💖💖💖😢😢😢💖💖💖
The song third from the end and the last one ...the President of Ukraine needs to send these people around Europe and the USA / Canada performing these songs asap. They should hand out written words (in the country of the visit) explaining the meaning / background to them. They are so powerful & strong that they demonstrate the strength & determination of the people of Ukraine. 28/11/2023
Obrigado Musik. A compilação deste vídeo me fez pesquisar também sobra a música folclórica ucraniana.
A história vai contar ...

Obrigada!

May I offer a challenge to Pure's subscribers. Pick your favorite if you wish, and with your notice of your favorite next copy and paste the lyrics of the song. There is no need for you to translate them as a cute little right click on here brings up a translate to whatever the readers language is.
And thanks in advance. The subscribers here are just as important as the poster, you can't have one without the other (for full pleasure and enjoyment of these videos).
I posted this before I saw Pure included the translation for "Plyne kacha", which has to be my favorite.
I tried to find the translation to Podolyanochka in English, sung by Vladislav Karaschuk, but the translation I found does not seem right: (sung by Navka) Podolyanochka
Somewhere there was a little girl
Somewhere here there was a young woman
Here she sat down, here she fell
To the ground she fell
Seven years did not wash, because she had no water Oh get up, get up
Podolyanochka
Oh get up, get up young
Wash your face
Yes Take the one that was on the edge . Somewhere there was a little girl. Somewhere here was a young woman

🌹🙂
@@MikeEgypte Thank you!! Your interest in Ukrainian folk song also makes me research and I found this:
"Podolyanochka" is a spring game performed by girls near the church, in a meadow or other suitable place, holding hands and performing a round dance.
The children begin to sing and walk in a circle, and the little girl does everything they sing. Somewhere there was a little girl, Somewhere.
Spring songs are almost always sung at the same time as dances and games, which are supposed to “call” spring and a good harvest.
But nevertheless, the most important thing is that all spring songs, no matter what they are called, are songs that make people happy, bring beauty and optimism to their souls, and are a precious treasure of the primitive culture of great-grandparents.
"Podolianochka" is a spell that makes you smile.
It is a symbol of the fact that after winter comes spring, that after decline comes prosperity, after sadness - joy and after despair - happiness.
Apparently, Vladislav Karaschuk (LAUD) recorded his version of this Ukrainian folk song.

Lyrics of the Ukrainian folk song "Podolyanochka":
Podolianochka
Somewhere there was a little girl
Somewhere here was a young girl
Here she sat, here she fell
He fell on the ground
She didn't wash for seven years because she didn't have water
Oh get up, get up, little girl
Oh get up, get up, young lady
wash your face
And a white face
Run to the Danube
take the young
take the edge
Somewhere there was a little girl
Somewhere here was a young girl

This is a very old song with not very clear semantics of the words, possibly with pagan roots.

(2:40) “I wanted it so much! I made it so much far that I simply cannot mess it up now.”
(2:50) Song 2, performed by Olena Lucenko
I Will Go to the Far Mountains
I will go to the far mountains,
up to the wide meadows,
I will ask the swirling wind
not to sleep all day long
but to fly its wings at large
over the mountain tops and forests
to find out where my beloved is -
brown eyes, dark eyebrows.
- Chorus -
Oh my darling, my true love,
Tall and handsome as an ash tree,
In my eyes I carry to you
the whole blue world.
I am bringing my forsaken love,
a dream of the youth.
All the orchards are in blossom
on my way to you!
- -
And if the wind from the high meadows
does not want to fly at large
I'll find you, my love, anyway -
dark browed, brown eyed.
I will cross all swift rivers,
mountains and forest groves,
All roads will lead me to my love -
brown eyes, dark eyebrows.
Chorus

Ja pidu v daleki hory,
na šyroki polonyny
i poprošu vitru zvoriw,
aby vin ne spaw do dnyny,
ščob letiw na vil’nyx krylax
na kyčery i v dibrovy
i diznawśä, de mij koxanyj -
kari oči, čorni brovy.
- Chorus -
Mij koxanyj, serce moje,
Svite jaseń cvit,
Ja nesu v očax do tebe
veś blakytnyj svit.
Ja nesu lübow-zažuru,
mriju molodu.
I sady cvitut’ dlä mene
Jak do tebe jdu.
- -
A jak viter z polonyny
Poletity ne zaxoče,
Vse odno, znajdu tebe ja -
čorni brovy, kari oči.
Perejdu ja bystri riky,
i beskydy, i dibrovy.
I šläxy meni pokažut’ -
kari oči, čorni brovy.
Chorus
(0:00) Song 1, performed by Kamaliya
The Moon is in the Sky
The moon’s in the sky among glittering stars.
Serenely a boat’s being washed by sea waves.
On board a fair maiden is beautifully singing,
The Cossack’s all ears - he’s deeply in love.
Oh eyes, oh, these eyes, these beautiful eyes!
Dark as a night and bright as a day.
These eyes made me cry for the first time.
Where did they learn how to drive us insane?
These eyes made me cry for the first time.
Where did they learn how to drive us insane?
15:58 - not "cossaks", but kazak Siromakha
To be perfectly correct: kozak Siromakha
@@vladshapran5000 Yes, you're right
(5:57) Song 3, performed by Andrij Khayat
At the Far End of the Dam Willows Are Rustling
At the far end of the dam
willows are rustling,
those which you planted...
The Cossack is not here -
The one with whom you fell in love,
fell in love, fell in love, fell in love.
Oh, the Cossack is not here.
He’s gone beyond Desna.
Grow, grow, girl,
til the second spring!
Growing, growing was the girl,
until she grew up.
Waited, waited she
for her Cossack
and then started to cry,
started, started, started…
* * *
W kinci hrebli šumlät’ verby,
Ščo ty nasadyla.
Nema toho kozačeńka,
Ščo ty polübyla,
polübyla, polübyla, polübyla.
Oj nemaje kozačeńka -
Pojixaw za Desnu;
Rosty, rosty, Diwčynońko,
Na druhuju vesnu.
Rosla, rosla diwčynońka
Ta na pori stala;
Ždala, ždala kozačeńka,
Ta j plakaty stala.
Stala, stala, stala…
( 7:38 ) Oksana Muxa: I really want to keep going. Thank God, I’ve unravelled my karmic mission and I cherish it: my dream is to make sure that Ukrainian folk singing culture remains alive.
( 7:56 ) Song 4, performed by Oksana Muxa
Hazel Bush Was Rustling
Hazel bush was rustling
and its branches waving;
a girl was crying
at her own wedding:
‘All my girl friends
will still be going out
while my young hands
have been tied now.’
‘Maruśä, my sister,
how can you say that?
Your brother's at war now,
while you’re getting married!
Your brother's at war now,.
His blood may be spilled there.
While you’re getting married.
And he does not know it!’
Hazel bush was rustling
and its branches waving;
a girl was crying
at her own wedding.

Šumila liščyna

plakala diwčyna
jak śä viddavala,
Ščo “druhi diwčata
šče budut’ huläty,

“Maruśü, sestryčko,

Tvij bratčyk na vojni,
a ty viddaješśä.
Tvij bratčyk na vojni

W tebe vesilečko,
