Technically, the Baltic republics weren’t consensual members of the USSR. They were invaded and occupied during WWII. They were considered occupied territories by the UK, US and other western states. Thus they didn’t secede from the USSR at the end of the Cold War, they regained their full independence. For this reason alone, there’s no way they’d ever want to go back into any Russian-led Union.

"Baltics had money before the Russians invaded" - WTF??? These native peasant populaces were kinda of "lower breeds" under iron heel of Baltic Germans, just a European Namybia or Ireland under British heel. This continued nearly unchanged even after Russian annexation in 1700es well untill 1860ies. Serfdom and overall discrimination here were the worst within the Russian Empire.
The land of Baltic Germans in modern Latvia was confiscated in favour of local tribesmen in 1927 ONLY, and full expulsion of Baltic Germans followed in 1939. Within 2 years they were back in the USSR. And dont forget the Global Depression of 1930 that stroke them badly!
The question is - WHEN did they have these money when nearly every small coin went to the wealth of Baltic Germans up until 1930 or so, and Soviets regained these breakaway brinklands just 10 (TEN) years later?

SirStukov partly agree on your opinion sir. I'm not against cooperation with Russia as a partner. Russia should be partner to us. Not a ruler. Those developed countries may have interest in cheap labor of Uzbekistan. Just my opinion. The problem with the investment isnt on the side of developed countries. Rather its on our side that we don't have strong and reliable legislation on private property. Also we can adopt something from developed countries in terms of technology, education, tourists etc. So it's not only about investment. Regarding to China, I agree that China has debt trap policy which could be quite risky. However, China isn't the only "developed country" to have as a partner. EU, US, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Gulf countries and so on could be an option for diverse economic relation.

As we can see now many tourism based countries are struggling due to covid19. Economy should be diversified within country as well as outside of country in terms of partners.

Betting on cheap economic labor may perhaps be an option in some areas but it will still likely be short-term. More importantly, being cheap won´t make the country rich. I´m not a policy-maker, my experience and knowledge of macroeconomics is limited. However, I believe in fulfilling own potential, and this heavily relates on evaluations of all possibilities. For example, my country recently realized its potential in the field of nanotechnology and medical technology and started to invest more in this industry. The economy will focus less on automotive industry which proved disadvantageous in times of economic crises (people generally don´t buy cars when they are threatened with job loss).

It's interesting to hear this point of view when Poland seems to be playing a dangerous game with its membership of the EU through its nationalist regime, an organisation that by being a member of has made it wealthier and has provided the counterbalance to escape from domination by Russia. It should be very careful of how it acts. The freedoms and benefits of being in the EU shouldn't be forgotten either, and I feel is being put at jeopardy by its right wing government. I think Poles should be very vigilant as I don't feel any country in Western Europe has any designs on domination over Poland, whereas Russia, well we know how Putin, the dictator for life acts, you only have to see his actions in Ukraine and Syria for this. I think the long term goal, not mentioned in this video is to want all the Eastern European countries that were under its boot for so long back under its sphere of influence, and not for economic reasons, not of the countries in question, but purely for reasons of geopolitical power and influence on the world stage. Some countries of the former Soviet Union have to cooperate with Moscow however, they are economically tied to Russia in many cases, but as shown in this video they are being very careful as to how close they become tied.
