I just love the little byplays of the brothers. A superior Scott, being annoyed by Johnny's relaxed demeanor, offered Jelly some coffee... but ignored Johnny's wordless asking for more, walking straight through the offered cup with the pot in his hand. Johnny shot back a very dark glaze. When leaving, Scott bumped heavily and intentionally against Johnns's outstreched legs to show him his opinion of the matter. Johnny tightend his legs, obviously getting grumpy by now, too. After a halfhearted attempt to get more coffee, Johnny just murmured his comment and left to follow Scott. Of course. Sibling warfare or not, he wouldn't leave his brother alone. They were so tremendously good together!!
Wish they would show Lancer from beginning to end on tv.So tired always same ones bonanza or gunsmoke or big valley etc.this was one of the best western show on tv.johnny so handsome.
Sharon - right now they are showing it on a cable station called the Decades channel. Not everyone gets it (I don't) but it also has some over the airwaves (not cable) stations. To find out if you have it - search for Decades on Google and they have a way for you to input your zip code.

MURDOCH'S OLDEST SON, SCOTT PLAYS A VITAL ROLE IN THIS WHOLE THING, WITHOUT REALLY KNOWING THE REASON WHY. MURDOCH TRIES TO ATONE & FORGIVE THE PAST THAT HAS CAUSE THIS TRANSGRESSION. ACCORDING TO THE TALLY IT HAS BEEN (24) YEARS, (8) MONTHS, & (12) DAYS. IT HAS NOT BEEN RIGHT FOR HIM EVER SINCE. I THINK THAT BY TRYING TO RIGHT THE PAST, HE WANTS HIS SONS TO SEE WHAT KIND OF MAN, HE CAN BE IN THEIR EYES. HE WANTS SCOTT & JOHNNY TO SEE THE VALUES THAT HE HAS INSTILL INTO HIS LIFE, SO THEY CAN DO THE SAME FOR THEIRSELVES, & HAVE THE RIGHT SENSE TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE, & A STRONG WILL TO OVERCOME THEM. I agree need to put lancer on from the beginning to the end to be seen by many western lovers myself included. Please find a way for it to be reshown on tv. Espiecally since the last original cast member of the show recently pass. Thank you. Barbara White. A die heart lancer fan.
It is shown on tv cables H&I but its disappointing because a lot of scenes are cut out for commercial space, and most of the scenes that are cut are interactions between Johnny and Murdoch!
The sheriff's wife shot him. She told Scott she shot his father because she thought Murdoch was going to kill to her husband. Luckily, as she says to Scott, she was a bad shot and only wounded him. The sheriff would not tell Johnny who shot his father as he was protecting her.
