When i was in welding school they teach me how to do roses with iron and i did a bunch of those since i finished the things i had to do.
I ended up with like 13 rusty roses i sanded and spray them (i dont really know what i spray them with but a friend told me to).
And sold them to the famillys in my local cemetery.
    About 400€ profit.

@@ProLikeJesus3 look up hot bluing for steel. People do it with any kind of steel and someone on CZcams has a chart of what temperatures produce which color. There’s an extremely vibrant blue/purple color and there is a pink color and a straw gold color. It is a very picky process though so I would definitely try it out on some scrap pieces before you do it to any good pieces. A TON of scrap pieces first lmao

Some “quick” improvements for ya. On the petals, before you bend them, take a cross peen hammer and mark it up to where the lines of the peen on the metal start at the “center of the teardrop” and move out to the outer edge of the petals. Another improvement is on the leaves, take a chisel and grip the leaf in the vise with one side up. Then take the chisel and cut into the leaf at an angle to make the jagged sides of a rose leaf. This is a really cool project and can’t wait to make one myself. I’ve done a ton of research into it and it seems both hard and easy. Maybe the girl of my dreams will agree to it’s beauty

    Bob I'm not gonna lie...
It's REALLY weird seeing you wear a hat other than your welders cap!
That being said, if you ever wanna try something different with the thorns, I found that laying a fat tack on the stem, and then forming/sharpening it up with a flap disc makes them look incredibly realistic.

Nice job... Pitty pick of black steel. Need to clean from rust and protect (how?) Better take SS, also paint it nicely with auto paint... red and green, even before welding. Brief welding to the stem won't damage painting on visible outer sides.
