Helium: I recommend using helium from a large tank from local suppliers as the helium in the small party tanks might not have enough lift to carry the weight of the lights etc.

Any suggestions on how to keep the balloon from deflating if you can’t do them the day of the party?
It would depend on which balloons you use, the ones I use last a couple of weeks and can be made the day before which I do quite often, they are Grabo globes and can be with or without the self sealing valves.
