I replaced my pump 3 xs . Not wanting to pay 800 for a new one I bought a reconditioned one. One thing I learned that changed a bad habit is keeping the tank at least half full. The gas actually helps cool the pump. Great video .

Since the flange port was burnt. Was the connector that goes into the flange also burnt and needed to be replaced or only the flange?

Hey great video very informative, I'm always curious about repair cost regarding issues. I have a 2010 jaguar xf, could you give a ball park on what i could expect to pay if an issue like this arose. Im aware there are variable circumstances that could affect pricing. Thank you

Wondering if the faulty fuel pump cause the car to drain out battery?

I have a 2012 XF with general mifire codes after cleaning plugs and scrambling coils, plus last code of 00087 ( low fuel rail pressure).
Where do I measure actual fuel pressureon the 5.0 liter and what should it be? 55 idle 65 on throttle?
    Thanks in advance. Good video.

High pressure fuel pumps... while vehicle is running pull fuse off of rear fuse box and if the car dies quickly then your vehicle is likely running on just the low pressure fuel pump both high pressure fuel pumps are bad .. now the other way is that if it stays running for a bit means that your high pressure fuel pumps are keeping the car running but I usually replace them as a set... also check timing on your auxiliary cam shaft as those tend to snap and or loose timing tension.
