Another excellent mix that demonstrates a firm grounding in ethnic music. The personality of each instrument comes through in the careful production. There is an aspect of the music that may relate to therapy in some way.
Being a foreign resident in Mexico and conducting an all-Mexican orchestra adds an element of bi-culturalism to the experiment of building, maintaining and communicating with this large ensemble. Your productions convey a mutli-cultural message...

I know what you mean, though I came from a different end of the spectrum. My parents didn't really let me listen to anything growing up and that of course only made me want to listen to it more. So I'd just take it where I could find it and I never really cared what it was, as long as it wasn't controlled by them. I guess that's how I first came to find freedom through music and the journey has progressed quite a bit since there. It's really my pleasure doing this though, I need the music too :)

Wow yo this is some amazing stuff. Really I'm in awe at everything I've heard. I'm use to like rabbit in the moon and music like that being from FLA that was the rave back in the mid 90s. It was an era that changed my life. This music really brings me back to another time and place. Thank you so much. Mad props to you; Confused bi-product of a Misinformed Culture!!:-)
It changed my life too! The whole 97-99 scene was about as good as it got for me, a lot of fun. Lots of mistakes too and probably a few years putting the pieces back together, but through it all the music... It got me into the mess and it sure as hell got me out too. Much love homey!

To be honest I didn't know if I would like this mix. I was expecting more of an "African" vibe from title, but it's much more Arabic in nature. I've always found beauty in Arabic music, but I've never really found any to listen to. I've always consumed it through other media such as movies and games. This mix is perfect to fill that niche. Thank you once again for all you do!
For sure, I've been meaning to make something like this for awhile. I think a lot of my ideas for mixes come from me just hearing a blurb of some type of music is a movie or in passing and thinking how much I'd like to listen to a mix of stuff like that. I've been super swamped with work lately and needed something to help me chill out to and this mix was the answer. I'm glad you liked it!
So, I suppose the real question everyone wants to know is - when are you gonna get a crazy sound system; pick a super-remote location somewhere; tell everyone to come; and seamlessly mix all your mixes that everyone loves? :P
I'm toying with the idea of doing a Halloween thing. Make it like an it came from the 80's super horror retro disco type thing. The only real issue is my location and it not really being near anywhere relevant so people would have to travel a distance for it and I just don't know if enough people would want to come. I'm in Tennessee, Knoxville. If 100 people say they'll show up, I'll book the location. Whose down?!?!?!?

Comes to mind... ;) although you would have to start putting things together; gathering yourself in a collage of kaleidoscopic sounds that are both alien and familiar (=original) to shift from creating a journey to actually creating the 'atoms' of the journey.... Damn; which brings me to my next question; do you have any of your own work? But.. that party sounds grande!
