      @@waretafaiwell, I have it on good authority that the world actually was a whole lot simpler in 1967, than it is today.
      But seeing as you misinterpreted my comment, with your pessimistic Outlook, I would say wishing you a good day would be a waste of time.

    • @waretafai
      @waretafai Před 2 měsíci

      @reubenj.cogburn8546 not only are you wrong about simplicity of the time, but you somehow interrupted what I said as pessimistic. Optimism does not mean "nothing is bad" and pessimism does not mean "nothing is good". Being optimistic is how you achieve what Johnny Cash achieved in spite of the lows of his life.
      Seek intelligence.

    John sure did love June. When she was in the hospital, practically a vegetable (in a coma), Johnny would sit by her side and talk to her, read to her and sing to her. When they were going to take her off of life support, John formed a prayer circle and prayed for her. When she passed, he had her picture painted on the walls, he would stare at them. He would sit at his desk and talk on the phone, imagining June was on the other end. That's true love if I've ever heard it

      Yeh greatest love story ever................apart from the fact that Johnny Cash got with June while he was still married and then abandoned his kid, or that he had numerous affairs never mind the fact that he got Junes sister Anita pregnant and made her have an abortion. Not what I'd call a love story, then again that was never going to make into the biopic movie they made about him.

      +McShave the point of the movie was the truly love between him and June, until June's death, where she died while Johnny was holding her hand. Yes, he sinned and made a lot of mistakes, as also she did, but the love between them was uncontestable, and they overcame all the obstacles to be together until their last days.

When he was born and we simutaniuosly announced his name... he was a sursprise .... I very old sckool, didn't want to know the sex.... anyhoo.... we nemed him and the dr goes... "Hey the my dogs name!" completely irmonic as the dr had just saved my and Jacksons life... I suffered from cervical cancer (now another danm cancer) in early years (had him at 39)and the dr took the time to figure out i would never fully diallate! (i knew it was time, no meds and first kid) IJackson was pushing but he couldn't get out(too much scar tissue)!!!! We will forever give thanks to Dr. Michael Toval of NH USA> He didn't even stop there, 3 years later....he went on a second mission and saved my life once more by removing cancer in the bladder that no Tests could detect, He IS our kind of people (ol' school), very sad he retired. I am sick again and we will never find another dr who goes with his gut, believes his paitents, he gowes with his gut and saves lives! We pray we have to stop wondering, going on 3 years with no surgery success, bounced from dr to dr! Healthcare is sad, no matter what insurance you "have" Thank you Johnny nad June. We are forever grateful for your music bringing so much joy , pleasure and dancing to our lives! You wil live on for eternity in our world!

    Being from Nashville, this brought back memories of early-morning TV with Ralph Emery. Johnny, had Elvis-like qualities, as shown in his moves here. His boots spoke of the influence of the Fab-Four or vice-versa. He was a super-star in a country way that is down-to-earth and genuine. June also shows her singing and charismatic qualities in this video. An interesting couple to say the least.
