Most underrated video, supporting the actual realities of the creative process.
I need to make some cards and it's not my usual wheelhouse, so I was looking for help. I realized that I'd be able to make cards more consistently if I choose a basic theme/construct per quarter. So, I've been looking for help in "creative batching". Yours is the first video I have found on the topic, after 2 days of searching.
This should have thousands of likes by the end of the week.
You're a great teacher. Thank you.

7 years ago I was given a cancer diagnosis and life did not lend itself to craftiness for several years. A few years later with my cancer in remission, I was suffering from depression. I *knew* crafting would help, but it seemed so overwhelming to just jump in again. I almost sold off all my stash, I was so afraid I couldn't get my mojo back. I finally decided I would just stamp. I called it Couch Crafting, because I just set up all my supplies on the seat next to me and stamped like it was my job. I cut sheets of my white cardstock to fit the Misti, grabbed a fridge bin of stamp sets, and went through each set, stamping every image and all the sentiments along one edge. When I had a stack of paper all filled with images, I decided I should reacquaint myself with some of my coloring mediums. I started with pencils and colored several sheets, making notes on the back in case I used the images I would know what medium/colors had been used. I did several pages with Tombow markers, and several with Zig markers. Doing many pages at once helped me remember the pros and cons of each coloring medium. You'd think you would remember after years crafting but you forget when you aren't using the supplies on the regular. Anyway, this working in stages helped bring me out of crafty retirement. I had a session of ink blending and watercoloring backgrounds too. I am *still* pulling out pieces from those days and pulling together quick cards. But of course now I have my mojo back and also enjoy making a card from start to finish. Recently I had another health set back and I need to remind myself to just *do something* without the pressure of having a final product to show for it. Playing (heck, even organizing) supplies is therapeutic in itself. Thanks for the reminder Jill!

For those that have tendonitis or strength problems with your hands and arms, try hiring a neighbor teen to cut out a bunch of your dies or stamp off several things to put in envelopes. My favorite is to have Christmas dies cut out. Especially snowflakes, trees and frames. Thanks for the hints and the video.

Thank you so much for sharing how you design your cards in steps, instead of trying to design and complete a card all at one time. I have a difficult time making decisions, whether it be colors of card stock or patterned paper, dies, inks, etc. Doing several cards, but separate steps during separate sessions might help me a lot! Such a professionally-done video.! You had all your supplies and didn’t have to go look for anything. Your voice is really pleasing for videos. Plus, you showed how you use just regular envelopes and a box to organize dies and cards-in-progress! Thank you!

This is a fabulous series which I have enjoyed immensely.
    A
Little bit of trivia for you. Years ago I had in a big box store with my friend who had recently started scrapbooking. I was riding along with her and I ended up in the stamps section of the store. My eyes saw an adorable image on a stamp and even though I didn’t have any other stamps or white card stock I had to buy it. That was how I started my addiction to Penny Black stamps and the hedgehog. I have since spread out to other PB stamps and I always love using them. Thanks for letting me share. 🇨🇦

I was in my craft space yesterday and I started pulling out loads of stuff to to make a card. I remembered your process from the (immense love/you) video and I decided to put it all back. I pulled out ONE die (immense love) and I die cut it out from a bunch of scraps until I didn't want to anymore. I sat down and glued them 3 high and then I put them back in the package. I can't tell you how satisfying that was. ha ha NO mess, I accomplished something and was able to walk away without leaving a total disaster behind me. I like your method of crafting, it does take a load off and how fun to just pull out a cute image already colored and go from there. Thanks girl. **loving that rose die!

I also stamped all my stamps on some old continuous-feed printer paper that my sister gave me years ago.
It's really helpful to be able to leaf through those pages and easily see what stamps are in my stash.
I do need to update it now, since I've (somehow) acquired even more stamps!😄😄

This eased my mind just watching you focus on one thing at a time. I am an over-thinker and very indecisive by nature, and this appeals to me so much! Thanks for the inspiration. While watching the video, I was reminded of Kristina Werner’s capsule videos, and then you pulled out the Koi paints. Perfect! This video is definitely getting saved! ✅
Oh! One thing I’ve started trying to do is make multiples if not just one extra anytime I’m doing a card for someone. If I’m making a set, I make more than one bc the assembly line process saves so much time, not to mention the decision-making mental energy!

A dot or two of repositional tape would hold the elements in place on the card while it is in the envelopes waiting for permanent positioning. I have more problems with my creative mind running way too fast for what I can get onto paper. I would love it if someone could do a video on capturing those rabbit trails. Thank you for sharing. All the critters are so cute with your painting.

YES, I get overwhelmed! Thank you for these ideas, and reminder to not try to do it all at once! I have collected quite a few dies. And stamps. And 6x6 in pads of paper...you get the idea. I take a long time to do cards, etc, because I try to do too many different parts in one go. Even putting diecuts together to make embellishments.
    This will help. Thanks much!☺️
One little extra note. You stamped with Versafine on Canson water color paper? I just received that for Christmas! I may be changing up my stamping habits, now! Never occurred to me to Stamp my picture stamps on that. I had a pad on my wish list for my color bursts. Thanks!

The “edge design” dies were clever, but, even as a “jumping off” place! Seeing them gave me the idea that pretty much ANY die can be used with a diffuser of some sort to achieve the same effect. [[ “Stand it on its head. Turn it inside out. Cut it into pieces, and use the pieces. Put it half in the dark.”. ANYTHING to give a different perspective! ]]
