I get cool air, just very weak. Is that ok to recharge? Also to measure the gauge can I just put the hose on the low pressure valve without adding the can to the other end just to see if I need any? Or do I need to twist the can in on the other end? Also when you want to see the gauge to know if you need to fill it with Freon do you need to pull down the lever?

This could be a bunch of different things. You should be able to measure the pressure just off of the hose itself without attaching it to the can though.
When in doubt though, take this type of problem to a professional.

@@BIGFLYFIX I measured it earlier and I’m good. No need to recharge. It turned out that I didn’t have the AC turned up to coldest, thus tricking me thinking my AC was weak and blowing weak cold air.
