- Here's the review of the new Proxima on the fly clasp. They have started adding these two some of their newer watches, as well as upgrading some of their older ones too. But don't worry, you can also buy them seperately as well.

I somehow managed to mess up the thickness measurements completely 🤦♂️
The actual measurements are:
- 6.3mm for the old
- 7.3mm for the new
Sorry about that guys ☺️
Sorry about the audio not being up to the usual standard of the latest videos... I just did this as a quick video on my phone, using the built in mic.
Nice clasp. I wish there was one like this with an 18mm buckle width.
That would e a nice option to have.
Nice to see something different on your channel. Really enjoyed this topic.
Cheers!
Thanks. Is there anything in particular you'd like to see that's a little bit different than the usual reviews?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWRI'm not sure but maybe showcasing some vintage watches or maybe different straps for your existing watches. To name a few.
Thanks for showing 👍
Thanks for watching 👍
Thank you for the look at this. I'm fitting these to most of the watches I regularly use
Which watches have you used them on so far then?
Very nice. I have to wonder if this is the same one as the San Martin or just similar. And you’re right, Proxima is offering a lot of their watches with this clasp now. Makes Proxima’s even that much better values. Thanks for showing this to us.
I think they're the same ones as the San Martin, as far as I can tell.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR So that’s interesting. I thought maybe San Martin made these clasps. Maybe they are getting them from someone else. Or who knows? All these AliExpress Brands maybe turn out to be one giant company…🤔
@@adk7962 Who knows indeed 🤔
I wish you'd gave measured the middle lug. Standard is 9mm but my Thorn is 10. Total width the same at 16mm
Do you know the width of the center link?
10.5mm
everyone is jumping on that clasp. swiss watch crisis part 2!
They just take watches to the next level don't they?
How wide is the midlink?
10.5mm
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR Thank you mate, I'll stick the verniers over a few of my watches later 🤙
are you sure about that thickness, that really doesn't sound right. My guess is you sat it on a table and measured how tall it is (therefor including the arch), not the actual thickness. I don't even have a watch that thick
it's not even as thick as your index finger and mine is about 13mm thick
Thank you for pointing out my mistake. The actual measurements are 6.3mm for the old one, and 7.3mm for the new one.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR okay that's a relief
Why not put the push button on the outside of the clasp? Then it'll really be "on the fly". This one's isn't on the fly. Just tool less.
I get what you're saying... But it takes seconds still though.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR yes, true. Better to be able to adjust while on the wrist. So many do it with the button underneath. Just a copy really.
My comment was deleted? Wow. Why was my comment deleted?? 🤔
I don't delete comments, so I'm not sure what happened to it. If it contained a link it will be automatically blocked though. So perhaps that might be the issue 🤷♂️
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR Seems that YT and I have an argument. My fault. Never mind!
San Martin clasp without the San Martin logo. Ok 🤦🏻
Maybe it's not actually a San Martin clasp after all. Perhaps it's an OEM part.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR I think it's OEM. I have the exact same clasp on my Traska Venturer GMT, so it's probably not a San Martin exclusive.
@@WristWatching I seems that way doesn't it?
