Carried a wave everyday even in Sunday best. The warranty and customer service is second to none. The tool makes an amazing combo paired with an AA LED maglight and a rescue knife. Keep up the goodwork and God Bless Luke.

Wish Leatherman would make custom Surge's with tools to your specific liking. Kind of like how Buck Knives will make you a custom knife with different options of your choice. I would be worth the higher cost to have a multitool custom tailored to my specific needs.

Your the first person who has experienced your blade on t-shank adapter slipping out, I haven't yet, mine has been on three camping trips an I put a much longer saw blade in mine when out looking for kindling an to make things around camp, like pot hangers an what not. I had wished that the main blade could've been 154cm or s30v like the new charge tti plus, would've grest but I love it for what it is an I can one hand open this an one hand close the tool and I mostly for me mind you of when open of the pliers, the handles are smooth when in use an I do love the heavy duty plier head an replaceable cutters, I've used them to cut hard wire for people at work, like people on our team our job doesn't provide a tool box for our mod team thst changes the shelves an reset them an prices, plus when making a cardboard bail,I had to cut some thick metal bail wire to get something thst was hung up in the machine, I was scared at first an thought it might ding the cutters, but nope, nothing, still using same cutters an also, behind plier head where the crimper is,is also a hard wire cutter too,I like using either,a guy told me about it,I had to snip a wire for a customer one time an she didn't have an wire cutters to cut or rope to tie down her trunk with holding her new TV still in the box,she was amazed when I pulled out my surge an snipped the wire with ease, no effort with surge at all,so to me between surge an st 300 are king in my opinion, I'll have to wait an see about the new Leatherman Arc with spring loaded pliers,it basically got the same look almost like the free p4 series with magna cut steel main blade,an yes scissors an a micro bit driver,an a package opener flat head screw driver,it looks solid, handles don't fly open as easily but easy like the surge handles do from what I've seen, the 40th anniversary tool one is basically same thing but are all sold out,the call ithe garage batch #005,so I'll wait till they have some in stock, thanks for your video on your surge an pointing some things out.

I use my bit exchanger alot for different fasteners and the I tend to use the diamond file alot so for me a have to have a full size replaceable one( and i used it in the to sharpen the tool itself)..but I'm like you with the serrated blade i keep it for emergencies except for the draw cutter tip i use for box etc to save the plain edge..but we all have certain things that work best for us i know alot of guys trim down other bosh t shank blades for it.. I think you would love the victorinox swisstool x and now they offer the 1 hand version ( the regular swisstool not the spirit) that one sounds like it would be perfect for your preferences plus the chisel/scraper..thank you for your videos I got a victorinox cybertool m because of one of your videos ..my current edc for work is a leatherman surge and knipex cobra 125mm if you haven't played with the knipex cobras you'll love them i live in a dairy town in Georgia all the farmers carry a set in there pockets for when a mutitool isn't big enough or for the times when you just need two pliers.

The wave is perfectly fine. It’s all up to your preference on size.

I've had leathermans forever. Also use everyday. I recently purchased the rebar and love the locking blades on it.
Can't you customize these tools? I think you can buy everything to interchange parts.

The serrated blade should have the gut hook on it like some of the other models. Being in maintenance i have a mixed opinion in the replaceable bit because i bought the accessory kit. Also an accessory that snaps into the lanyard receiver for a hammer head would be great.

    "The surge wave Leatherman"
They should bring back the eyeglass screwdriver from the Gen 1.
"There's an aftermarket adapter" Adapters get lost. I don't carry the bit kit because it's going to get lost. The whole point of having an available pocket clip is to be able to carry it without the sheath.

I got the surge last year, have used every tool, often in preference to large toolbox tools as its such good quality, highly recomend over the wave, i use jigsaw blades in the saw adapter, only problem is the UK law for knife carry, but with a tool like the surge, its easier to claim its a work tool...

The only gripe I have with the surge is the plier head is wiggly it's not the first one I've gotten from Leatherman like that but as far as the screwdriver goes I like the bit kit set up with the extension bar it allows me to turn my Leatherman into a nut driver and I bought a not a Leatherman bit kit but a wiha set and I like the fact that it's versatile now the bit does fallout but I don't think they should get rid of it I think when you order one you should be offered the option of the tool set that you want in it i like the way it is now as the standard but if you don't want the bit exchanger order it without it again I myself really like the bid exchanger it makes it more versatile I can use it as a nut driver I can use it as a torque wrench it's very versatile and I love that I like the fact that it's heavy duty it just works really well for me the way it is

Oh My God my wife through a fit and wouldnt let me cut either of my kids with my Wave + ( Rebar plier, Rebar awl, s30v charge blade in it, looking for the gut hook serrated blade for it) nor my Benchade Bugout both which i keep hair poping sharp.

Most victorinox screwdrivers are better than the replaceable Leatherman screwdriver specifically because victorinox doesn't use a weird proprietary screwdriver. The victorinox i keep on my keychain is an exception since it is pretty small. Most Surge clones(The tool is old enough that most of the IP is public domain now)have a better screwdriver.
