More context on the nba guy at the end: he bet the UNDER on himself and then left the game after 3 minutes due to an undisclosed injury so he either knew he had an injury and was going to ask to be taken out early or he faked the injury altogether. Sports betting is a cancer
💀💀💀💀😂
400k is a lot for a bench player that will never see any significant amount of playing time to prove themselves for a bigger contract. I can see why they went for it.
I forsee a single elimination 3 team twisted treeline tournament to establish the top 3 players. Then, an elementary school kickball style pick ems to fill the last 2 spots. MSI or bust.
You had me in the first half...
Sorry guys I had to paid them off. I needed the money. - Seto Kaiba
He's implying the organization is in on it and want to prove their innocence from the org.
This sucks. I wanted to see GAM.
crashing out for 50 lira 💀
honestly if they just fill out the teams with random gold players from soloq and the org staff, I'd watch it
Also Imagine them at MSI and Worlds as the designated "average guy" org, like how the olympics should add a regular dude to every event for reference, and IMAGINE the hype if they won a SINGLE game
@@thothrax5621 well, they won.
That's a lot of Nguyen trading
racist
@@jacob8410How is that racist? Nguyen is the most popular family name we have in VN, and the comment above simply made a pun about it.
nice try but its actually not close
@@HieuNguyen0611 vietnamese americans sometimes pronounce nguyen as "new win" as its easier for english speakers to say, i think its close enough
7 out of 8 ppl on a team having the same name seems wild although as far as i understand that would be the surname so probably no confusion? still funny to imagine them calling each other that in comms
I just wanna know what kind of evidence Riot is looking for? Like are they checking browser history or something? Bank statements? Like how do you prove something like that?
I think they would be able to see weird transfers of money and be able to get evidence from third parties to testify to whether they are match fixing. They can even go to the players themselves and have them all give their own testimonies and if they are all doing it there is high odds that they would rat each other out. Riot could probably also find who's giving the money and then from them they could find all the transactions they've done.
Elo boosting, betting, etc. its not just match fixing.
I’d say bank statements are easiest. Like DL said, it’s life changing money for some of the players. If there was a random transfer of a large sum of money and they couldn’t prove where it came from, it’s already suspicious.
Obviously if they used other accounts to receive the funds then it’s bust but I’m sure there are other ways to find it
Embrace it. VCS should go all out WWE and rig every match in advance for the entertainment value.
LOL, all the fights are going to look like those staged Chinese TikToks of league. Would be an insane watch.
That's insane to see in such a league-wide manner. Also, what are you thinking about league starting for Necropolis?
they have to because it's been going for a while + it's a lesson to the rest
To be specific, it was 29/50 players, 2 managers, and 1 coach who were suspected
I'm a native & from what I've read about this shit show , I can confirm that the coach of one team (RW) and his manager were the root of all this mess. They were notorious in Vietnam for fixing Dota matches back in the day. They returned and bought a team that had a slot in VCS mainly to focus on match-fixing. One day, the coach (Raze) was severely affected by a fixed match gone wrong and then vanished, leaving behind a debt of around $30k from that match and other debts to his manager. The 'mysterious guy' who lost that money got angry and brought the whole story to light for Riot
Yes
I wonder if its happening in na , season after season teams stage matches are sooo night and day and our teams every year get stomped at worlds.
for the guy saying riot should not even fund esports anymore all it dose is lose them money the esports is what always gets me coming back i will take a break and then watch a few games and start to feel it and now im balls deep buying skins for every character i wanna play dude is not thinking about the other aspects of what broadcasting lol esports can do for the game/community
lol for a billion dollars? even if you got caught, im sure you could pay riot to look the other way for a few mill ez
Yeah that part was funny. He'd definitely throw for 1 billion 😂😂😂
9:13 that statement couldn't been more wrong
Why double lift lying like he woulda take a billion dollars to throw 😂
he'd probably get canceled for saying that, riot would get pissed
Never backing down never whattttt.... Oh, that's lame
You’re right. But you have it backwards. The people who are in the position they are in who can’t “afford” to match fix, is because they already sold their soul to get there. Unfortunately of course regardless of skill.
What are they all accused of exactly
Gambling/fixing matches
If lcs had that theyd send in the scabs
ofc they shall f bann em lol if ther 90% cheater in lol they you dont go fore any LCS and w8 fore 1 year and then new teams are set and all bad player and cheater are out. cheater shall be f .
I understand that you shouldn’t be able to bet on yourself for weird metrics or odd situations, but what’s wrong with betting on yourself to win? No specifics just betting that you will win the game?
Because you can arrange for the Enemy team yo let you win even if they are the favorites
Yeah you right @santiagoarciniegas722
@@santiagoarciniegas722 thats a different offense then. even if no one bet its still against tos to matchfix
Because that can still be affected by match fixing.
Betting on yourself to win is technically allowed, but collusion is illegal. There are stipulations in contracts to prevent murky things like this from happening.
Hi guys!
A lot of "confidently incorrect" takes in this one lol
doublielift
*bets on self to play properly*
Audience and casters: "OMG THIS GUY IS INSANELY GOOD, I THOUGHT HE WAS BAD!!"
Yeah, i dont think its that bad of a thing, if your pay is so low that you arent as motivated to win the game with the amount of money in your contract, then i would say maybe betting on yourself to give you more money to actually try in the games is not that bad. If it makes you play seriously, or be more invested in playing competitively, then you should be okay to bet on yourself.
Tho the moment you bet on yourself to int an important fight or objective, it becomes bad since you are negatively affecting your match and not trying your best to win the game.
It sounds good in practice, but no. Players have inside information and talk with one another. If you're allowed to bet on yourself then your good buddy on the other team can tell you he's gonna int. You could then safely pocket the money and wait years to give it back to him. Or you could int the next time you verse him and he bets on himself. It just can't be done with certainty it's clean
@@Welari12 i mean yeah thats also a possibility, the situation that im talking about is that you dont have any friends on the enemy team and no one else knows about it. if money is the issue, you can simply do "im going to engage properly the whole game" or "im going to set up proper ganks to secure kills". Basically just rewarding yourself with a checklist to play better...
@@isaac2986 No, you don't get it. Even if you have no friends there is no way for the governing corporation or wider society to be 100% certain of this fact. It invites corruption by design. "No, I have never talked to the enemy players about match-fixing, I simply bet on myself to play well" only sounds good to the person saying it.
@@Welari12 lol? Match fixing involves the other team being in coordination with your team to secure a specific result of the match. And it also counts as affecting the match in an unfair way that goes against playing the game properly and fairly.
If you are playing properly and fairly, as well as purposely trying to win the game with your best efforts, then you are playing the game properly.
It only counts as match fixing if you are purposely not trying your best to win the game with the reward of money for that action. If no one knows that you are trying your best to win a game because you bet on yourself to play well and properly for a cash prize, people will only think that you are motivated to win the game and have a great performance. No one, *absolutely no one*, will think that you are betting on yourself in order to make it to international play like msi or worlds. Thinking otherwise is just foolish to think it's something evil even tho it literally doesn't affect anyone else since the person is taking the game seriously...
@@isaac2986 your reading comprehension and critical thinking are really low. I'm not going to explain it a third time. Maybe an analogy I'll leave you with: You're accused of murder, you know you didn't commit the murder. Yet, for some weird reason, you saying "I didn't commit the murder" doesn't get you off the hook. Have a good day, buddy.
NA maths 😂 bill dollar
Sometimes, as a man, you have no choice when offered large amounts. After a point, it's no longer about you but the people you have to support. Your family, your partner, your friends. Sometimes, integrity is a luxury you can't afford, and you just have to do what's best for your people.
