Not gonna lie, my favorite part is how quickly she checks his pulse and shows relief. So many people have this weird need to make her some kinda doomslaying murderbot, but she's supposed to be a compassionate hero.
But also forreal the choreography, using the friggin' sonicboom of all things; just wonderful!
Yeah. She was showing Pit tough love by incapcitating him to keep Pit from fighting Ridley as Samus knows how Ridley operates and did not want an angel to be added to Ridley's body count.
She has a Doomslayer-like attitude when she is on a mission, here, she's just stopping someone innocent from coming to harm. She's not a mindless killer. She can be both depending on the situation
Hey, the two reasons Doom Slayer does what he does is one hatred and two to protect innocent people. The only reason he ever had to deal with demons in the first place is because he punched his commander when he told him to fire on innocents.
@@Metawire61Yeah, a perfect example of Samus having the Doomslayer-like attitude is when she killed Crocomire. He was only guilty by association with the Space Pirates, iirc. When she fights him, he is only attacking out of self-defense.
The fact that Crocomire’s eyes are on the sides of his head rather than closer to the middle also kinda indicates that he doesn’t prey on other aliens, unlike Ridley.
Lmao Samus showed this dude mercy 3 times and he still wanted that “power of friendship”

This was so GOOD! Both characters were treated with a ton of respect, nobody was uncharacteristically violent, and I love that Samus' whole motive for even taking the fight was to keep him from facing Ridley. It was so cool seeing them use abilities from Dread and Uprising as well, whole thing was a massive treat!
A little surprised Samus came out on top considering what Pit's been though, but her tossing Pit into the cave helped a ton in that matchup.
Considering Ridley is waiting in the lower bracket, he may still be doomed to face the Cunning God of Death.
I liked Pit’s passion throughout. I think that is my favorite part of this animation.

The intro got me thinking about the logistics;
Dark Samus could probably still put up one hell of a fight for even Dread Samus, as Samus' not this planet-busting weapon of mass destruction, but a compassionate in-over-their-head soldier-type that has to *FIGHT* for every minute she's alive, so even if she's stronger in later games, she's not gonna curb stomp serious bosses from previous games.
Also, a GREAT touch that Samus is not only still listening to Pit but actively starts the fight to keep him away from *the thing that heals from eating people and has tricked death many times.*
I enjoyed this fight. This was the perfect demonstration of where the two are respectively. Pit while he does have huge potential in terms of abilities and powers, all of that pales in comparison to the fighting experience Samus has acquired over the many years in her career as a bounty hunter. I Pit is CAPABLE of beating Samus once he matures and hones his skills, but right now, the right person won this fight. And Samus to her credit knows Pit is a good kid and as a result she is merciful making sure he's still alive and breathing.

Not only does Samus have experience from her Bounty Huntress career but was had trained how to use her Power Suit at 12 So if we were to guess Samus' age we know it's past 18 after the events of Zero Mission, put it 2 years after that comes the contract that Samus eliminate the Metroids on SR-388 (Which had the unintended consequence of letting the X-parasites to run rampant) putting her at 20 then an (,as of this post,) an unknown amount of time passes between the Prime series, (quite possible 6 years) leaving her at 26 Super Metroid immediately afterwards with maybe one or two year interval between having her at 27 or 28 between the events of Super and Fusion and possibly 3 months after the end of Fusion making her around 30. Damn, never a dull moment.
I like how Samus only chose to fight Pit just so he doesn't get his butt whooped by Ridley. True friendship right there lol

I just like how basically Samus reason to give him the fight is so he won't have to face the monster that is Ridley. Like Samus really had to think do i want to see pit mauled by ridley and flaunted around after.....you know he would drop his body in front of samus to mess with her.
Next time they meet though Samus will give him a nod and a thumbs-up though. Samus didn't want to beat him up that badly either so i feel you know both characters very well nice job.

I HATE WHEN EVERYTIME SAMUS USES A BIG CHARGE ATTACK HER SUIT ALWAYS BREAKS APART THATS NOT HOW THE POWER SUIT WORKS
Fr that's my only gripe with fights like this. That Power Suit is made from highly technologically advanced Chozo, and Samus has fired stronger things from her arm cannon like the Darkburst, Sonicboom, Hyper Beams, Hyper Missiles, etc. I feel like that was a nod to Brawl where using her Final Smash makes her suit break but it doesn't make sense.

Assuming it was just a reference to how she’s played in Brawl, I actually don’t have a problem with it. As a ZSS main, I’m just glad Samus fought while unarmored for at least part of the video (even if it was for less than a full minute) since ZSS obviously isn’t going to be in a separate fight.
I expected Samus to go full metroid like at the end of Dread. Good thing she didn't, I suppose. Pit would probably die.
Thing is, that state wouldn't have been triggered by Pit at all. Her Metroid DNA, from my understanding, would have to react super aggressively towards an opponents, and that seemingly only happens with a Mawkin Chozo (if I'm spelling that right).
I mean, she could have used it nonlethaly to just drain the energy if the great sacred treasure

Palutena or Viridi probably wanted to test the strength of their champions. Tbf tho', he seemed to respect her choice of not fighting him but as soon as Pit mentioned he was gonna fight Ridley she chose to fight him and send him home... Which is a good thing. Seriously the idea of Pit fighting Ridley is terrifying.
Amazing! Would love to see more of Samus, especially her using shinespark in fights.
Her use in this vid was merely as comic relief as the Shinespark would have destroyed the Great Sacred Treasure or at least heavily damage it.

This DESERVES more views. This animation is absolutely fantastic, and the voice acting is just as good, if not better!

(Edit) My only point of criticism is when Pit landed in the water, where there was audio for a splash but no animation for one.
They didn’t make it they just re uploaded it from smash bracket left one tiny bit of credit and Called it a day.

This is samus that we all know n love, a badass bounty hunter thats effectively the doom slayer of doom slayers.
Yet also caring and not a murderhobo even if a lil tough loved.
This episode might be my second favorite in the show
I am impress that pit and dark pit can fly by themselves. Note goddess flight gives an obvious glow when flying.

I love how this channel came back from its month long grave after posting Diddy Vs Greninja's animation just to post the animation for Samus Vs Pit, LMAO.
Anyways good stuff, Samus had very good characterization, but I feel like the grim emotional moments didn't really hit with Pit, mostly because he's usually very happy, and bro had barely been fighting Samus for like.. 2-3 minutes, and he was already going to into depression and desperation mode.

This was f*cking amazing, no idea how it doesn’t have more views. Atleast as polished as a brawl cutscene and you did this by yourself. Gorgeous cinematography and fight choreography, this is definitely what you were meant to do
Very nice! If Samus had the Phantom Cloak and other abilities from Dread, I’m honestly surprised she didn’t bring out the Metroid powers like she did on Raven Beak
That'd be lethal to Pit as that would have drained Pits life energy and Samus just needed to incapicitate the flightless angel. Even though it looked that he can fly on his own Viridi, Goddess of Nature (which was the voice speaking to Pit) was giving him the power of flight which lasts for 5 minutes at a time or they will burn up which are a vital part of his own body as in Kid Icarus: Uprising Pit had gone far past the 5 minute mark that left him with mere nubs where his wing were and was left in a critical state which Dark Pit had taken him to the Rewind Spring to briefly dip his (Pit's) damaged wings to turn back the clock and restore his wings to before there were burned while trying to save Palutena's Goddess of light's stolen soul.
Backing up Anthony’s reply, Samus has only used her Metroid abilities when they were awakened by Raven Beak, due to the Metroids having a huge distaste for Mawkin clan Chozo. At the end of the game, Samus’ Metroid DNA had been calmed down, so she wouldn’t be able to activate it at will anymore.

This was a really good fight and I can't wait to see what goes down between Dark Pit and Dark Samus when those two start fighting and I guess Pichu technically as well since Pichu has to fight whoever wins the Koopaling Royale when that happens.
As fun as it will be, I have feeling dark pit will not be spared

@@anthonynycholas4230 Yeah like Phazon is extremely deadly on its own and Dark Samus is the embodiment of Pure Phazon just taken on Samus' form when the Metroid Prime took Samus' Phazon Suit which had her DNA on it at the end of the first Metroid Prime. I feel like Dark Pit's defeat is going to be either through him getting hit or obliterated by a Phazon based attack.

I don't think he was trying to murder her, and he technically accepted her response as a no when he challenged her and only started to fight when she started attacking him to keep him from fighting Ridley.

After Samus showed no interest in fighting Pit asks Viridi if he could fight Ridley and you see Samus' mental image of what the outcome of how badly it would've played out for the little angel if he met and tried to fight Ridley. So Samus decided to put a stop to that foolish idea and gave Pit some very tough love by incapacitating him with a blast from her Paralyzer which is a multifunctional non-lethal weapon.
Samus had the chance to bust out her Metroid powers so that was a missed opportunity even the Metroid suit nothing would stop her with that

I dont like how Metroid Dread gave us this bitchy version of Samus. Her character has always been a benevolent one, bad ass, but benevolent. Not this angsty hot tempered female Doomguy.

There was very little for her to be benevolent toward in Dread.
I can agree with this but I think a lot of that is mostly the fault of the community and the general reaction to Metroid Dread. I suspect a lot of people played Dread as a first major Metroid title so for a lot of people seeing Samus at an emotional peak in her story probably shifted the public perception of her as some Doom-like protagonist, as if say Raiden at the end of MGR would be representative of his whole character.
Samus in Dread has plenty of calmer, more restrained moments but those didn't get put into public perception as much. I do hope that going forward Samus' characterization holds true to her past but I think most of it is just because of the community's ignorance.
Ah yes, she should be benevolent towards murder robots trying to suck her DNA, creatures who are aggressive towards her, X-Parasite infused Chozo Warriors trying to kill her and how can we forget the narcissist Raven Beak who not only calls her his daughter when all he did was donate one half of the DNA but also tried to convert her into a weapon only to later kill her and make clones of her with her DNA. My my, Samus really should've sat down and had some coffee with them.
She's not angsty hot tempered, she's still calm and collected in Dread. You're basing that characterization off of the final scene where it makes the most sense for her to let out her rage. If she really was just hot tempered in Dread, why didn't she go bloodthirsty on seeing Kraid, and rather just stood calmly and shot him like it's a casual Tuesday? She's stoic, and a badass, yet the first thing she does is observe the situation around her, and calculate. Not what you described lol
