  • Welcome back to the mXrevival CZcams Channel!
    So you've finally taken enough soil samples and realized your stock, plastic throttle tube just ain't worth replacing again.
    I'm proud of ya! You've come to the right place!
    Today, you'll learn how to install your new Zero Resistance Throttle quickly & easily using this tutorial.
    You'll be armed with the right tools before you begin your install, as well as a all of the steps to get it done right the first time.
    The ZRT is unlike any other throttle tube on the market today due to it's dual-bearing design.
    The ZRT is extremely tough, eliminates internal bar-drag that plagues OEM & conventional aftermarket replacement throttles, and provides an ultra smooth, crisp throttle action.
    Today we are installing the ZRT on our 2018 Suzuki RMZ450. Ride something else? Don't worry, Instruction will be largely universal and apply to all bikes.
    So, weather you're a seasoned Vet, or this is your first time working on a dirt bike- We've got you covered.
    If you have any questions regarding this install, please comment below. We would be happy to help.

    For my OCD bar trimming I use a tube cuter. Plumbing section of your local hardware, Lowe’s or Home Depot.

    • @mxrevival
      @mxrevival  Před 2 lety

      It's a killer idea! Nice and straight. It isn't the best for the ZRT specifically though, unless you've got a pencil reamer too. Because of the cutters tendency to flair the inside of the bar to a slightly smaller I.D. - it can prohibit the ZRT's bearing insert from being installed into the bar end. Still, great feedback.

    Very good info, im thinking on getting one for my 350 sxf,, do you find that its soo easy to turn that it could cause easy whiskey throttle?

      @mxrevival  Před 5 lety +2

      Very glad you found value in the video.
      No, nothing crazy like that. Just very smooth and predictable, feels excellent in the hand. I've logged about 5 hours on it now and there's no way I can run a regular throttle again. Or at least, I will be putting these on all of my bikes from now on. These Renthal Kevlar grips are excellent as well.
      Thanks for the comment 😎

    I added threads at the end of my bars for buckbusters. Can this be used with those threads, and if not, if the nylon thread is removed, would the threads in the tube itself cause issues with that expander?

    Charles any idea if odi lock-on grips will fit over the zero resistance throttle tube?

    • @mxrevival

      I don’t believe that will work, because the ODI is a throttle tube as well as far as I know.

    So will the zrt fit on 1-1/8” bars?

    • @mxrevival
      @mxrevival  Před 4 lety +2

      Of course. The bars in the video are 1-1/8" too actually.
      7/8" & 1-1/8" is referring to the clamp area diameter. All bars will have the same bar end diameter... (Think of how you can put any grip you want on any bike for example)
      You're good to go 🙌

      Would a flatter, wider style bearing that houses more of a "pin" type roller still be considered a ball bearing?
