I bough a BlueDriver. So basically, I plug it first, then key in "on" position. Then, when I finish to scan, I turn off the car first and I then I unplug the scanner. Am I right?
Do I have to clear the error myself or should the error go away on its own once fixed?
If I clear the error without fixing the cause by mistake, will it reappear?

Where can I find the entry port on a Nissan? I begged to be able to do the test.
My OBD scanner used to display codes, but not anymore. Did I delete everything? How can I fix this problem? My 'service engine soon' and 'ABS' lights are constantly on, so there is obviously a problem with my GrandAm Pontiac. Thanks.

My one doesn’t have a screen like yours, tho I thought to connect it to my pc. But not sure how to do that
I noticed at the end of video the mechanic said "unplug scanner, turn off car". My Autel scanner says do not plug or unplug scanner with ignition on. Why is this so, and will it harm PCM ?
What if you only have a key fob and start/stop button? Every newer car is keyless...
Get in your car. Push start button without depressing gas pedal it doesnt start the car just turn the electrical systems on.

Hi, my OBD does not have the option to change languages to English, as it only shows two options: Traditional Chinese and simplified chinese. Can anyone guide me on how to add languages to my OBD scanner?

This tutorial doesn’t include a description of what the dash lights were first indicating to apply the OBD scanner. I have a flashing check engine light for instance.
Can I plug it in while the car is on and running?
No, it can damage the OBD-II scanner tool, and/or can damage the cars computer.
Only plug the scanner in when the car is off, once you do that you can insert the key and then turn it 2 times (BUT DON’T START THE ENGINE).
And when you’re done, do the reverse by first taking the key out of the ignition, and then unplugging the scanner.

You can also have the engine runnings while you do it to, or just have the ignition on. Whatever you feel like doing.
Does this work for older automobiles. I have a 1995 Toyota Tacoma, that I want to diagnose instead of wasting 120 from my local ToyotaTown for a diagnostic
no. 1996 and up only.
It's interesting that even companies selling these things aren't more detailed about how to use them in a video. Follow instructions on screen? Would be helpful to know what those were. Turn key on---accessory position, next click, start car? Are you charged per second to upload a video? Why blow through it that fast?

I have this code reader and the battery reads ok but I have no clue what the other things mean. How do I know if something is wrong? I failed my emissions test and I was told to do a drive cycle to reset the emissions codes. Where do I find emission codes?

Are shown error codes only related to current issues or are they related to current issues plus not erased codes from the past?
9 months late but usually they are present. It's very rare that a car will retain past trouble codes once the CEL has been cleared.
