Exploring Basket Weeders - Farm Implement Overview

In this video Lydell gives an overview of one of his favorite Tilmor implements; the basket weeder.
The Tilmor Basket Weeder is typically used for inter-row weeding. The wire baskets are spaced apart to allow for the crop row to pass between.
Basket weeders may also be used to prepare a stale seedbed by placing the baskets together and running over the entire width of a seedbed.
Small growers face unique challenges and often must rely on older equipment that was developed many years ago for mechanized cultivation. This often means farmers are forced to rely on parts that are obsolete, poorly constructed or difficult to find.

There are some variables where it may not work well and others where it will perform better than most other cultivators.
