@liliesiy I've just read Six of Crows but haven't read Shadow and Bone. You don't need to read it first. Presumably Shadow and Bone gives you an idea of places mentioned and explains the history of a couple of relationships but you won't be lost of you haven't read it.

I personally think that Shea Ernshaw is such a talented writer. I read two books by her; The Wicked Deep and Winterwood. They are standalone ya fantasy-romance and both pretty dark. Her books never fail to make me forget I’m reading!
Yea I like her writing but winterwood felt too slow to me.. you know like she was pushing back further and further the revelations and chapter by chapter it was slow ... but i really loved those snippets from each witch in the start of chapters... used to look forward to them whenever a ch ended hehe

Last year I hated reading but this year I got introduced to PJO and fell in love, there is just something about the books that just hits different then most others, I finished reading BoL in just 4 days, which is really gokd for me and it has 361 pages so essentially I just forgot I was reading. For the rest of my days I can say that PJO is the reason I started liking to read again😢. Highly recommend all Rick Riordan books

It's set in the same world as the Caraval trilogy, however, you don't need to read those books to understand these ones. It's very fast-paced and has plot twists you wouldn't expect (especially the second book). The third, and final book, comes out the 24th of this month... So now is the perfect time to start reading it if you're interested :)
