- When I saw this motley assortment I knew I had to have them. They don't look very commanding, but they do look quite awesome and unique.
That's the best part about them- their uniqueness. They are more visually distinct than most of the warbands GW has been releasing for Underworlds and Warcry in my opinion. Plus there's some fun little bits and options I'm sure Order players and fans of the more human aspect of tabletop fantasy games can appreciate in this box.
I plan on putting them to work in one of the indy skirmish games I continue to accumulate but never get around to playing. One of these days... one of these days! - Zábava
👍👍
Love the look of this set. Wouldn't mind it myself
While it may not be as robust in terms of options like the classic Empire kits, these guys are so visually distinct they could function as individual clamshell kits and I wouldn't have really batted an eye (other than a small amount of pieces, but it's not like all those clamshell kits were 20+ parts either).
These actually tempt me to buy a GW kit. That hasn't happened in a while.
Strong Mordheim vibes from the fish helmet, fish rat, and flute playing skeleton! All the little familiars and bits in fact.
Oh man that assassin sculpt is actually fire - here's hoping I can get just them second hand or what have you
Have a great paint job.
WE went to Adepticon and managed to get our grab bag almost fully swapped for things we wanted and it was SO FUN!!!!! Hey you want a Kahador hero for 5$ SURE! You want to swap a box set of Korn for Night haunts SURE!!! You want to swamp 2 mantic spurs for Another box of Korn SURE! Hey I want to swap my Korn box for the lizard man box SURE! Hey I'll give you 30$ for that hundred dollar trident realms box SURE! There were much more than that!!!!! It was like adult treasure hunting THE WHOLE WEEKEND!!!!!
This honestly looks like a Warcry warband
I dont know what it is about these sculpts and the whole new freeguild aesthetic. The really sharp angles. Some of the faces remind me of modern stop motion movies like Del Toro's Pinocchio.
All the references to old medieval art like the doot skeleton, the dragon-dog-horse-gargoyle thing, all the little friends, I want tons of snails now.
Ill agree with modern GW kits. Seems a toss up with whether its going to be a relatively relaxed fun build or the most infuriating 3D jigsaw puzzle.
The best 40k humans come from Age of Sigmar👌
Not really a necromancer think of him as a death domain cleric almost. I was kinda hoping it would allude to Morr from the old world.
You can't play Warhammer and not have Warhammers on yours minis 😅. Love the knight
That's a good point! The game isn't called "Battleaxe!" Although I remember playing something with that name, lost in the hazy fog of my youth...
I’m cautiously optimistic about the new Soearhead rules for AoS4. I will probably print a few armies and see how it goes
A new edition usually means I'll at least come back around to see how things are going, so I guess it's a bit of a mission accomplished in that regards for GW.
