Despite the importance of being a hyper focused Realtor, I think it's critically important to understand the macroeconomics of real estate as well. Interpreting the needs of our clients, where they come from and how those needs ebb and flow throughout the year, the seasons and different economic climates better helps me as an agent to do the best job possible for my customers.
I always learn every day as well. Today in reading the Institute's monthly luxury report, I learned about the term the HENRY's buyer. High Earners Not Yet Rich! A NEW buyer segment! This refers specifically to individuals or households that are typically in the upper-middle to high-income brackets but have not yet accumulated enough wealth or assets to be considered affluent.
The HENRY's are a group that I'll be following and advising as things change and the statistics are interesting thus far, as the numbers seem to coagulate randomly without much rhyme or reason just yet. Stay tuned for more on this interesting new buyer pool!
Hotel and branded residences are very popular these days as well. Five star services that set the bar like Himalayan salt rooms, butler services, car services, golf simulators and more... and always with the newest smart technologies, privacy and security at the forefront.
