- "One Day" sung by Cleveland Baptist Church, Sunday morning, November 5th, 2006. See words below.
One day when Heaven was filled with His praises
One day when sin was as black as could be
Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin
Dwelt amongst men my example is He
Chorus:
Living He loved me dying He saved me
Buried He carried my sins far away
Rising He justified freely forever
One day He's coming O glorious day
One day they led Him up Calvary's mountain
One day they nailed Him to die on the tree
Suffering anquish despised and rejected
Bearing our sins my Redeemer is He
One day the grave could conceal Him no longer
One day the stone rolled away from the door
Then He arose over death He had conquered
Now is ascended my Lord evermore
One day the trumpet will sound for His coming
One day the skies with His glories will shine
Wonderful day my beloved ones bringing
Glorious Saviour this Jesus is mine - Hudba
I'm saved by His (Jesus') power Devine. I'm saved to new life sublime. Life now is sweet, and my joy is complete; for I am saved, saved, saved. Please excuse any misspelled words. I ripped this off from an old hymn. I like it so I put it on here. I hope I'm not plagarizing anything. Anyway, God bless you.......
This is my Hymn for the month. This is February 2020...Is anyone listening now, besides me.......
I'm so happy to go to a Church that sings these old hymns now, I can hardly see straight. I researched about 23 Churches before I found this one. Praise the Lord.......
I’ve been fighting all my life to keep these songs alive. Baptist Church organist here! Keep posting. I like to play along as I listen!
Keep fighting, it's worth it! The next generation needs to know these songs!
Now, I need a new hymn for the month, since it's March 2022.
It's like hearing the Gospel to 🎶 music. Praise the Lord!!
Amen! Love the great old hymns that tell a story and teach doctrine, unlike many of the modern songs.
Spot on! This old hymn says it all. I sang the chorus at Sunday School in the 50s.
Hallelujah ❤️!!.......!!........!!.......!!.......!!............
So blessed to hear hymnal song!!!
Praise the Lord 😀
Praise the Lord.......
This is one of those hymns that you have to sing most or all of the verses for it to be complete, but you don't have to do them all at once. I think it could be really cool to connect Christmas and Holy Week services using this hymn. The first verse goes along with Christmas, the second and third verses with Good Friday, and the last two verses with Easter. It would really help put everything in perspective.
Yes, this is indeed one of those hymns that you miss a big piece of the puzzle if you skip a verse.
@@stillamazed27 I mean you probably could omit the third verse without much trouble (as was done here), but since the refrain makes reference to it, the song still feels incomplete without it.
I wish that more churches across the land sang only these types of hymns as opposed to contemporary ones! They are lovely congregation hymns written with beautiful words and glorious tunes. Thanks for sharing
+medico Amen! I couldn't agree with you more, and that's one big reason I post them. God bless you and yours. :)
And I really like how the person playing the piano on this song plays for the congregation. Its just how I remember it as a youngster. I love it.
Amen and amen to that!
Amen, I agree with that...
I’ve tried to preserve this in our 150 year old Baptist Church here in Austin but they just don’t understand. Glad to see that you all do.
I always ask when is he coming back ? always the same answer in his timing he will be back amen
God bless Good, Holy, non-Worldly , God Honoring music. God bless this great church!
Church done right!!!
Keep putting these congregational Hymns on youtube. Me and my dad LOVE them.
Amen! I'm so glad they're a blessing to you. You can check out my congregational singing playlist for all 200 + of my cong. singing videos grouped together. czcams.com/play/PLtc9a2WdgDg3QYzq1ZWgIQxvIEqrYp_Ze.html
Hallelujah.....
Praise the Lord the old congregationals are still good enough!! We don't have to have the new contemporary hymns to keep people.
Praise the Lord for Jesus how came to this world to save the parish, and I'm the first one; praise the Lord !!
I feel like running around the building! It must be my Pentecostal heritage! Nobody sings these hymns anymore (or hardly anybody) Please keep 🙏 "publishing" these hymns on-line. Thanks!!
I Just want to say I gave my Life to Christ On Day of my Brothers funeral Dec 31st 2022 I know he is going to heaven and he is in Haven . You know before he Passed away he wanted me to come to know Christ and i did the day of his funeral .

You're welcome, praise the Lord! :)
Thanks for posting this... I appreciate the contemporary version, but this is more like the gold standard to the other versions. Lol👍
I love this song and I love the music of CBC. Thank you so much for posting all of the music from your church. The pianist is so talented; she really plays this song wonderfully. If Cleveland was a little closer to Florida, I would attend this church.
God bless you and your church and the school.
Thanks for this hymn. Yes one day he is coming back and I just Praise my lord and savior for all he's done for all of us and myself. that is why I love this song Praise god bless.
I am so blessed to find this version of this hymn. Thanks
Another great hymn of the Christian Church! The words of this song paint the scenes- of the crucifixion, the Resurrection, and the yet coming Rapture of all Christians. Definitely lifts your thoughts, your soul!
I love this!!!
I really love those hymns. To bad we don't have a church here in the Netherlands where we sing songs like these
Thanks for watching!
I have had this hymn on my mind today. Now even more so after playing this several times. The instrumentalists are awesome! :)
Praise the Lord, glad it was a blessing to you!
Oh glorious day! AMEN
Thank you so much for sharing the music from your church. I really enjoy listening to the old-fashioned hymns. It is such a blessing to find music online that glorifies our Lord and Savior!
You are welcome! You hit the nail on the head as to why I post these videos- because it can be difficult to find godly music online, and I wanted to fill that void. God bless you. :)
I remember growing up with hymns like this in the Presbyterian Church. Now it's mostly contemporary.
This song is a true gift sent from God
This was recorded back in 2006. I hope that this church is still having congregational singing like this. Its so sad to see these traditional songs and singing going away.
Yes, praise the Lord, this church is still singing the old time hymns! :)
Excellent!!
Last I saw, they were still singing these hymns. I have nothing against contemporary Christian music, but I prefer these songs. And ironically, I'm only 24, which means I'm in the target audience of CCM
Yes, we're still singing them even 11 years after this video was recorded, praise the Lord!
sadly one of our churches in my town got completely remodeled to a “contemporary church”which is sad
We are using this for church! A true blessing.
Praise the Lord! :)
This old hymm has blessed my heart, for my church wants to sing the new, contemporary version. When I heard it, my spirit leaped, for I know God was pleased. Thank you very much for posting. May the Lord Jesus Christ continue to bless you as you spread the gospel for His Glory!
Amen! I can't stand the contemporary version of this song. Stick with the old stuff! :)
I was curious to hear a contemporary artist's take on this wonderful song. What a disappointment that was! The same lyrically, but exchanging this lovely melody for one with virtually no character seems ill advised. IMHO.
Great song! Continue putting them on.
I've got a couple playlists of congregational singing- one from the church in this video, which I used to be a member of- czcams.com/play/PLtc9a2WdgDg3QYzq1ZWgIQxvIEqrYp_Ze.html ...and one from the church I now am a member of: czcams.com/play/PLtc9a2WdgDg0QJf_Ma_00FGhQ_5bGbu9p.html - plenty of great old hymns to keep you busy praising our Lord!
You're very welcome; my pleasure to share these videos. I'm sorry to hear of the contemporary nature your church is evolving into. It's truly a shame that's happening so much today. Thank God for the old hymns of the faith! :)
Lovely old hymn from my youth. Thank you.
You're welcome! :)
Glory to God 🙏!!!.......
Thank You so much for this beautiful song and the Congregational singing I simply love it!!!!! What a lost art! I believe the Heavenly choir might have a sound similar at least part of the time for us to
Simply love.
This song is a true blessing!
Amen and AMEN!
What a God!
You are very welcome! Thank you for the kind words; may the Lord bless you as well! :)
This is the Gospel. Believe on Him and be saved. Praise the Lord.
Jesus said "no one can come to Me unless the Father who has sent Me draw him" John 6:44
Read your bible if you have one.
For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not 🚫 perish, but have everlasting life...John 3 16....
Beautiful singing
First Baptist in Eugene, OR still has a traditional service but they have it at 8:30 am. I have been a member there for six years and the second and third services have evolved almost into a concert like format so loud you cannot hear yourself sing. I wish more churches still sang like yours and our first service. Thank you very much for sharing this as it reminds me of growing up in church. I have been a Baptist my entire life and wish that the church hadn't changed so much.
This song actually was adapted into a contemporary song a few years ago. It wasn't bad, but I prefer this. I'm 24, which puts me in the target audience of CCM, yet I prefer traditional hymns over the contemporary ones.
Thank you so much. Have been searching for this beautiful old hymn but could only find the modern version which for me is not as triumphant and beautiful as this.
Amen! I wholeheartedly agree! :)

This song Has a Lot of meaning I Just accepted the Lord in my Life. and one day he is coming Back and if we don't accept him as our dear Lord and savior we won't have eternal Life i want to be in heaven with Jesus and see My Loving Parents My Mom and Dad were Christians and i believe this true He is coming back.God bless
Charlie
+Rosalie Dann I agree with you on that. The contemporary one isn't bad, but it's also not as good as this. Ironically, I'm 24, which puts me in the age demographic for CCM.
But a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him. God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” (Jhon 4:24) Say no to the false worshiping. I love how they worship the Lord ... Beautiful , beautiful song !!
Amen !
I was surprised when someone at church told me the song by Casting Crowns, Glorious Day, was actually an old hymn. Only today did I find out it was this song and they only used the lyrics.
Yes, I don't like Casting Crowns or what they do- many of their songs are just old hymns, and they simply add a few extra lyrics to it and change the music slightly and everyone thinks they wrote a great song. No, they just piggybacked off the old great hymnwriters of the past. Give me the old congregational hymns and you can dump all the CCM in my humble opinion.
IMO, this is so much better than their recording. I have nothing against CCM, but I don't find it to be nearly as good in most cases as traditional church music.
@@stillamazed27 You can say that again. Some of the old CCM from the 80s and 90s was good, but pretty much all of it made since 2000 or 2005 completely sucks.
A few years ago somebody adapted this into a contemporary Christian song. It wasn't bad, but I prefer this rendition.
Tks for your recording, my Dad is going to his Jesus any day soon and this is my Dads' favourite hymn. My Mum asked for someone to sing it and this is how I hear it from 50 years ago at Shuttle Street Gospel Hall, Paisley, Scotland. There will be many tears but he goes to his Redeemer. I will try to sing it for him and my Mum tks
How wonderful it is to have that hope of eternity. I'm sending you and your family God's blessings from across the pond in America.
The church I go to doesn't many of these songs. It a baptist church to.
Sorry, I made a mistake...This is February 2022.......
Love this hymn, only wish you could hear the organ more lol
WOW!!!!! The singing is fantastic. I learned of your music on youtube.com this afternoon. It would be wonderful if your church was located near mine I would love to attend. The old hymns are so inspiring and so uplifting. I feel like I am floating on clouds. God bless your ministry.
I am so grateful to the Lord that He is using these videos for His honor and glory. I'm thankful they are a blessing to you. God bless you. :)
Awe some !
wonderful....great hymns!..a shame though to see so many empty seats..if men knew what was there..the place would have room for nobody eles
I LOVE watching the videos of your congregation singing the great hymns of the church. Keep on posting them. They are a blessing to me. I really enjoyed the hymnal leading that Paul Rausch has on the channel. Wish I could lead songs as well as he did!!! I have a question what is the name of the hymnal your congregation uses? I want to try to locate one on Ebay or something. Thanks
Praise the Lord for your kind comments! The hymnal we use can be purchased here: heartlandbookstore.com/collections/books/products/rejoice-hymnal
Wonder what songs we’ll sing in Heaven??
Songs about the blood, exalting the Lamb of God and His power! At least that's the sneak preview we get in Revelation:
"And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing." -Revelation 5:9-12
One of the verses (was skipped here; the middle verse, "One day they left Him alone in the garden
One day He rested from suffering free
Angels came down o'er His tomb to keep vigil
Hope of the hopeless my Savior is He" What is that stanza referring to?
I suppose the hymnwriter was referring to the place where the tomb of Jesus was- in the garden- in John 20:15, Mary sees the risen Christ, but at first she supposed Him to be the gardener. "He rested from suffering free"- His suffering on the cross was over with. John 20:12 mentions the two angels keeping watch over the tomb.
I would like to get the name of this Church. Thanks.......
Cleveland Baptist Church, Brooklyn, Ohio. www.clevelandbaptist.org
I believe that the Contemporary hymn s sung today are not of the glorious of god and its to hip . I Believe in the old fashion hymns , because when Jesus comes Back he is going to be very angry as to how he is being treated
You're absolutely correct!
Praise the Lord.......
