- Molded Industrial Polyvinyl (MIP) Floor Mats from LMC Truck protect your interior from water, snow, mud and chemicals, and the durable industrial vinyl is easy to clean. Plus, MIP Mats are completely resistant to moisture and temperature, so they last longer than rubber mats. The mats are vacuum molded and insulate against heat, cold and road noise.
Watch Kevin Tetz upgrade the interior of this truck by removing the old, worn out carpet, and then installing a MIP Floor Mat. He also walks you through how to improve the look of your interior by replacing the door sill plates and pedal pads.

Wow, I use to have an 84 just like that. The same color red also. I loved it.
I want to adopt Kevin Tetz and have him come and live with me and work on trucks. Whatta ya say Kevin!!!
I am very happy with the MIP floor mat. Kudos to LMC and Kevin Tetz.
I remember doing this on my 79 Sierra Classic with a JC Whitney floor kit back in the day. I remember it being a pain in the ass but I liked the finished product way better than old carpet.
Nice install....id have used a heat gun on its low setting to help settle the wrinkles out of the flooring and make it a little easier to work into the tight spots.
Looks great Kevin. Thanks for the video.
I'm thinking a heat gun may help with the wrinkles.
Just purchased mine for my 64 GMC glad I watch this
One of the best instructional videos I have ever seen.
Just bought vinyl floors great video!
Just finished up my 90 Blazer with LMC sound deadner with new jute under LMC carpet kit. Used dynopad in the rear cargo area, 74 dba in the cab with stock exhaust, 33" toyo mt and a megnaflow muffler. Nice and tight solid feel cruising 75mph down the hwy. One tip!! Use an old soldering iron to punch out bolt holes through the carpet. Super clean fit. Only thing is the heel pad is not centered in the driver floor and ends up running up the side of the tunnel.
Put your bolts in before the mat that way its easier to locate all holes and then use your hole saw over patruding bolts in reverse
Looks great. Gonna do the same thing on my Toyota Pickup soon. Just bought a vinyl flooring kit.
Great tutorial. Thank you!
It has been a year since I bought mine, finally have the time to upgrade the complete interior.
I'd love to see your install after it has "sat for a few days." I've seen experts at LMC and ACC do MIP installs that end up with wrinkles, and DIY consumer MIP installs that look like disasters even after baking for days with a space heater. I have never seen a smooth looking job. Thank you for truth in advertising, but I don't believe one of these MIP vinyl floors has a chance of ever looking good.
Reparación de tren delantero Silverado 80!
I can’t find it on your website for that mat, I have a 85. Where can I find one just like that? I like how it’s easy to clean and maintain
Great Vid. Kevin you are the best. Flooring is too shiny but I will probably get one.
I can't stand cut pile carpet. I love loop carpet but can not find it for 73-87 squarebody truck.
I found loop but you have to look at 73 and 74 year model. much nicer than pile.
Thx
I wish had everything they took off this truck. Am poor so its a s%it box but it runs great.
Are any mods needed to install that 90s model Chevy bench seat in the squarbody?
Nice cutting, love how you use a non stainless steel blade and scratch the floorboard paint. Real professional
How do you get rid of the huge wrinkles?
I love the wuality of LMC products. Do they body panels fit as well? Thanks Kevin.
The small panels are fine for patching. I hear larger panels are not as thick as OEM sheetmetal, so buyer beware!
DynCorn aftermarket panels
How can you install it around a floor shifter without messing up?
How much would that vynal be for a 91 extended cab c1500
Somebody know we're to find interiors silling moulding for a 87dodge truck
When will you guys be starting an 80’-86’ F-series project??? Videos are great btw
Is there a red version of that floor mat?
Bought the flooring for a Chevy Tahoe 4x4. Had only one impression for a seatbelt location. Material didn't want to lay flat or is nowhere near as soft looking or flexible as he made it look. Even with it sitting in my living room two days with a heater on it.
It looks to me like the back of the speaker the magnets are hitting the cab
Hi there! Do y’all ever do custom molds for newer vehicles not listed on your website?
Hi Zandria, we do not take custom requests unfortunately.
Wanna put rubber flooring on my Titan.
Can these floor mats be painted to match the original interior color? If so what kind of paint would work best?
Hi!! They can be dyed, but the floor is a "High Traffic" area and is not recommended.
This I'm going to buy I can ride my dogs without having to vacuum after.
Hope he replaced the window weatherstripping, I could hear the glass rattling around every time he shut that door.
The heat shielding goes shiny side first or carpet down first?
Shiny first, been researching this a bit and that's what I've gathered.
Can't get the wrinkles out of mine so it lays flat any advice
Will that process be the same if you put down carpet down instead of that floor mat on a 1986 GMC Sierra classic 1500 regular cab long bed 1/2 ton
Hello, the process will be the same but our LMC carpet will not need to be trimmed like the MIP mat was.
Did you have to customize anything to mount that 90s model bench seat in there?
I never saw this comment. Maybe too late but yes there are some modifications. I used the original 85 seat tracks but had to engineer them to fit the seat frame. I do have pics i followed from another who provided his experience on one of the blog sites.
What are we supposed to do to the floor mat in the rear of a k5 Blazer or Jimmy?
I am having the same issue. It does not fit around the wheel well. Just a flat peice of useless vynyl
The peel and stick sound deadening material looks like a nightmare later on down the road if this is ever done again
It is made from Rubber Butyl, you will be dead before that stuff wears out.
@@ze_german2921 ya it's just hold moister and rots out the floor. Wich is already a problem. Lol
Do you guys make any components for the 90s chevys
We sure do! Our 1988-98 catalog can be found here www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cd/t.aspx
LMCTruck thank you for the information
A cheaper substitute for that sound mat, the shiny stuff, is wide rolls of flashing tape. Might not be as thick but muuuuuuch cheaper.
John Wirk Flashing tape does not do what this stuff does!
you are lame....
What color was the carpet you took out? It kind of looked red, and kind of looked brown.
Thanks!
It was the original burgundy color carpet. It was just old, faded and dirty.
And can I get through y'all
Is that seat a direct bolt on?
No. I had to make a mount using the original seat tracks. Not very difficult I'm a novice.
Do y’all know what year truck that seat is out of? Also where can I find some black/chrome trim like the one on this truck? Only see the full chrome on the catalog
Myles W ‘90-‘94
The trim was bought at O'reillys auto parts. If I'm correct the seat came out of a 94 model.
@@terryr7054 I am pretty sure this interior is out of a 91 suburban.
@@anastaciocastro8747 I can definitely tell you it came out of a 94 C1500
this is what i need for my truck but LMCTruck, you don't have any parts for my truck. 1987-1996 Dodge Dakota. Mine is a 1995 Dodge Dakota 4x4 extended cab. Please tell me why you don't have parts for my truck. These first gen dakota's need more tlc than the second gen dakota's.
Prob cause there isn’t as much of a following for those trucks. Market would be small.
Its to bad you can't get a floor mat that fits with out trimming.
Fr
Will this fit for a 1991 Chevy g20?
Hello SueLee. We d not offer the MIP floormats for the G20. Please see the link below for the rubber floor mats we offer. www.lmctruck.com/1971-12-chevy-van-gmc-van-ford-van-dodge-van/floor-mats/heavy-duty-rubber-floor-mat-sets
Anyone know best way to clean this flooring
honestly, a slightly soapy wet rag. Once clean, to get a shiny surface, use what you would on your dash... any of the products will work.
what is wih old chevy truck , when you close the doors they sound as if something is loose... always in older trucks from the eighties
Probably because the plastic that holds the door rods gets so worn out from the doors being slammed lol
The window moulding felt was gone in this video. Had just painted door panels and about to do vent windows before this opportunity came up.
I ordered this and never got the jute backing with it .wth
Hi Kevin, if you would give us a call at 1 800 562 8782 we're happy to take care of this.
is this seat of an OBS 1988 and up?

Ablan español, ocupo piezas para México, Guanajuato,
Anyone know the name of those wheels?
They were progressive brand wheels from the late 80’s
GMC 98
Not very careful removing the old carpet and seat.
Sorry man but 180 is too damn much for a floor mat
Jack Watters it’s a fairly nice mat! I’d hate to see what your truck looks like if you aren’t willing to spend $180...
Daniel McGee I Paid 130 for carpet and it looks really nice
I need my basic arse magna done here in Aus and it'll cost me $350-$450 to do it myself. That's just material.
carpet would have looked better
Carpet might look better initially, but if you're using the truck in wet and dirty conditions it goes to heck in no time. Last year I got a Base Sierra to replace my 2002 Silverado WT. The old truck's factory mat was still going strong at 170,000 miles and 15 years.
I was thinking the exact same thing. I want carpet on my truck but that's cuz I don't plan on using it as a truck.
@@nelsona779 then buy a car!
@@dodgeramsport01 i have one
The customer wanted this in his truck.
Not all these kits are the same. Got one from LMC for a ranger and it was not molded, there are no predetetmined holes for seat and seat belt installation. Pretty sure I've already ruined it. Enjoy my money!
Hey Jeff! Please give our customer service department a call so we can get you sorted out at 1-800-562-8782.

Thumbs Up.
Lol. This used to be standard in trucks. And
It looks like this guy breaks something in every repair?
How to I stall rubber mat:
Step one. Throw in trash.
Step two. Get carpet.
Every chevy with rubber mat, has haf floor to rust through. Never a nice floor, my theory is the water will get in no matter what. Then can't evaporate under the rubber.
No maladi 🧟🚑💊🗳️❌❌☢️☢️⚠️
Lmc= terrible fit, bad quality, and way overpriced. 🚮🤦🏽♂️

Especially their tailgates. Don't ever order one of their tailgates, unless you never plan to use it as a tailgate!
@@hanskinslo326 damn is it that bad?
@@nelsona779 no its not that bad!
@@dodgeramsport01 I have used LMC Parts on my truck but no body panels yet. My dress up kit turned out okay and looks good.
Talk about 10lbs of shit into a 5lb bag. Had to trim about 6" off all the way around. If I did it again would do the half mat. If they could figure out a way so that you had very minimal trimming. It's extremely difficult to trim up under the dash laying upside down. Sill plates don't fit now cause it's wadded up in the back corner. I like LMCs stuff but this one is a bit too much. You better have a lot of patience if you plan on this one
DUDE...wear gloves installing sound deadening matter like that you can cut the crap out of your hands.....
