- Hey, I'm back for a new song. It's an easy song but I love playing it. Again, sorry for the timing mistakes... The snare, I thought it was louder than that, and I don't really like the sound. I have to check the adjustments. And I think the bass drum is a bit too loud... but anyway, enjoy!
Oh and never mind the egg cartons :P

This guy doesn't overdrum, porposional and profesional. A drummer that has better taste of music is better at playing drums.

Sigh, it does not help. In fact it's a myth and fire hazard. It helps reduce echo in the room by eliminating flat surface but does little to actually sound proof the room. Commented in detail to another person above if you are interested from an engineer.

Speaking from engineering experience from having to sound proof testing benches this is a myth and a fire hazard. If they help with anything they help reduce echo within the room by removing flat surface (the more sound bounces the weaker it gets each time, more surface area, more bounce) but the sound will still pass through his walls. This is known as sound absorption. Sound proofing, which is done the same way you'd keep water in a fish tank, needs to have thick walls with either some absorption material in between the layers or just simple a layer of air. In the case of drums, having it sit in a "floating stage" would also help eliminate many of the sound vibrations, particularly from the bass, from further vibrating through the room/house.

@@203dyl it may feel comfortable but if you are doing an intricate fill it maybe be hard to move your arms around to hit drums/cymbals if your hand is rested on your arm.
Its the same as how he should just be using his wrist for the high hat instead of his arm
