Usually I'm having trouble breathing, fatigue, and always too exhausted, so I talked to my doctor which she said I may have an iron deficiency and now I'm waiting for the test results before proceeding on to take any medication, but now I really want to do something after watching this video because now I'm so worried. Its been two weeks and no results yet
Trevor Mention Did you ever get your results
@@Snick896 Wow I totally forgot about this comment, but yes I got the results. My blood came back clean. Nothing was wrong and my blood had an average amount of vitamins. This may sound like good news, but it was not because I was still feeling fatigue and terrible. Later on I recieved a message from my doctor requesting to check my heart using some machine. Lucky enough, they found something wrong. I have an enlarged heart which my Dad passed down to me. By eating healthy foods and exceeding I was able to stabilize myself. I don't know what your circumstances are, but remember to always be open minded and keep track if your family has any history of health problems. Who knows.
Trevor Mention that’s good for you!
thanks alot!
A great framework for understanding anemia. #f

This is great. Can you please explain how it can be impacted by connective tissue disorders such as Ehlers Danlos Syndrome?

Weight loss via GI surgery is usually done via gastric bypass which just cuts the stomach into 2 parts that both lead into the small intestine. There is the small section which is where the food gets mechanically digested and can only hold about as much food as an egg. There is also the large section with all the enzymes and acid so all the chemical digestion actually goes on in the small intestine. The pyloric sphincter in this case still opens about once every 20 minutes to let the stomach acid and the enzymes through. And because gravity does its thing, when iron gets into the small intestine there is still time for it to be converted and absorbed and it turns out that on one of the videos in jayalakshmi ks channel(either the coagulation disorders one or the macrocytic anemia one) that the guy asking the questions says that you only need 1 thing from the stomach and that is intrinsic factor.
Anyway gastric bypass, the most common weight loss surgery, is not a gastrectomy because you aren't actually removing part of the stomach, just separating it into 2 parts.
Also women with heavy periods. I don't see that on there in the cause section
I got this my ,doc said it to me yesterday.
damn this video was good but now I'm more worried lol
Gr8t!parietal n intrinsic factors deficiencies?
Where r the subtitles????
Buy what if you have below normal iron yet hemoglobin level is fine.
how do u diagnose and treat hookworm?
diagnosed from a stool sample, and the treatment could be Albendazole or Mebendazole
thanks
The dua-de-num... I've never heard it pronounced like this before. Duo-de-num. Maybe it's an American thing?

Whats that ringing whistling noise in the background
I've got that it's so horrible
My gf has it i found out today
In how many months do we recover from iron deficiency?
How many "really" she said?
She said the word "really" 14 times!
Your medication and thoroughness contributed to speeding up my healing process, I wonder what could have become of me if you weren't the one who handled my case. Thank you for helping me cure my Disease naturally Dr Igho on CZcams, you are Godsent
i got full blow anemia after taking b12 lozenges
i guess i was always on the edge as a vegetarian
weird
Ginger&Garlic really? How do,you know that caused it
Same here, I got iron deficiency due to b12 injections and sublingual lozenges, it's really weird 😞
@@explore_with_sagan9596 oh so maybe thats what happened...rebound effect
@@starflower666 actually the thing is we might be already borderline low on iron but since b12 injections uses a lot of iron in making new healthy red blood cells, so iron stores got used up in healing our bodies. So, can you tell me in how many months you recovered from iron deficiency?? I am taking oral iron tablets but improvement is very slow
@@explore_with_sagan9596 i did not continue with iron supplements
Wouldn't the increase in blood loss be considered normocytic? :/
Normocytic is usually seen when patients have acute blood losses like with trauma or with massive hemolysis
I sincerely appreciate you Dr igho on CZcams, and you do have my full trust, you should be heard around the world, because of your super herbal medication, thank you so much for I'm free of Anemia I had thought this would never end
IDA -> Koilonychia(spoon shaped nails) PICA
The statement that breastmilk is a poor source of iron, and infants less than 6 months of age lack iron intake is completely wrong!
Here is what the book "The Iron Disorders Institute guide to anemia" says:
"Iron-deficiency anemia is rarely seen in infants younger than six months."
"In newborns and infants up to the age of six months who are of normal birth weight, iron-deficiency anemia is quite rare even though the demand for iron during this time is enormous. Right before birth, the mother delivers a huge amount of iron through the placenta to her unborn child."
"Beyond six months of age, the risk of iron-deficiency anemia increases. Iron stores are decreased and must be replenished
from the diet."
Therefore, it is only for infants older than 6 months that risk of low iron intake becomes an issue.
Angela Liu I agree, the only way a breastfeeding infant would be at risk is if the mother was deficient. Healthy breast milk should have everything a growing child needs.
Its not dwodenum
One other unknown cause of Iron deficiency anemia in eastern European countries and also Northern Washington state from blood loss is Vampires, Vampires can definitely cause anemia, another reason to eat garlic
Its DUOdenum not DWAdenum
Lewis Macpherson pronunciation has no rules set in concrete, you know the stuff your head is surrounded by
Great video, but you are pronouncing Duodenum WRONG!! its "duo" as in like a duet, not 'dew-ar' as you are saying
thanks a lot!
