Braxton is so iconic I still call people “Broham” 😂😂😂
FAX
Teee!
He killed it with that character on the Jamie Foxx show 😎👍
Killed it!
This story is gold man. Its like reliving the show all over again.
Dont know how, but very true🫡
My favorite episode of "The Jamie Fox" show was when Braxton and Jamie were roommates and did that dance-off and set the house on fire. Braxton had to pull out his Michael Jackson glove. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hilarious episode!
I want to see this brother on stage in the theater. This is a great interview!
You can't sound like Made and ask that question, I'm sorry.
Man I was born in 1990 none skit shows Martin,Jamie, and the Wayans brothers shows are unmatched. We’ll never get that type of run again.
True
You just had to the be there! 🔥 #WhatATime
Nope it's over were back to white wash LGBT kid shows and watered down recycled movies.
In living color 🔥🔥🔥
@@tboog8356 I said none skit shows homie
Christopher has always been talented. The world has yet to catch up.
The role of Braxton is up there with Carlton for me.
“Chasing the carot” is no different than chasing “Chasing the bag” today. Nothing wrong with being to the money, but don’t let it stop you from focusing on your personal goals. Work is just a job if it’s not what you want to be in life
That man can really act
He is a classically trained actor
Versatile actor man...should have recieved more roles.
Hollywood is not about talent really . About the hustle
A lot of theate actors can’t improvise usually. But this man has talent
@@JERSEYBOYPLAY2HARDHe's been a part of almost every major show for the past 20 years and he does voice over work
It’s not over for him yet
@@cuzlightyear6184 definitely not He had two projects on Apple TV this year One called swagger about Kevin Durant
Mr. Duncan channeled "Braxton" so easily again. That made me smile.
Best episode of the Jamie Foxx show was when they had to go to driving school and Mark Curry was the instructor/drill sergeant. “Don’t let him break you B!”
This is an awesome story and a reminder of how things fall into place if you stick with your passion and keep working.
He played a military type guy on Black Lightning. He was so mean. 😄
He still got it and he has two projects on Apple TV right now
That was an AWESOME story. It amazes me how all of us in the comments got it when JFox said, "this mutha effer", but the interviewer heard crickets 😮 he says, "why did he say that"?
Keep up dude!!😂
He didn't get the carrot metaphor either
I took it as the interviewer (even though he is black) is not familiar with black slang.
rapscallion 😂😂😂
Tee-he-he (the way Braxton cries on the show)
I wish the interview was longer. I love to gear his journey
Great actor glad to see him still working with the show “Swagger” love the show
I grew up on the Jamie Foxx show and hearing him speak is dope. He speaks eloquently and with passion/conviction. Shout out to you Christopher.
I wish the interviewer understood and Christopher didn’t have to explain so much 🤦🏾♀️ it kinda took the wind outta the momentum.
I love how he described no longer chasing the carrot. You really can take that gem in any area of life. You always hear about the actors wins, but you rarely hear the losses.
He played Gina’s rich boyfriend when she and Martin broke up briefly. Y’all remember that?
Yep that was him He killed it, then he came back again but it was only his voice for a couple of episodes
@@byronrush9802 which episodes was his voice used?
@@shaunieibe2081 it's been a while so I don't remember which ones He was also on family matters but that was a guest role and he was a main character on Veronica Mars He also was on the district for a couple of years
Original Gangsters was filmed right here in Gary Indiana my hometown....we are having a special viewing of the movie next month.....Chris I wish you could come...
This Interviewer’s clearly out of his league: he didn’t do enough research, is always looking for a dramatic angle and has to be explained everything. When someone has to keep repeating *“well as I said to you before”* , it means you’re very politely being told that you’re not smart enough to have this conversation.
Funny, I’m watching Black Bird on AppleTV+ and he’s on there as a prison therapist. Of course I said, “That’s Braxton”, but he played the hell out of this role. He has been working consistently.
Dang man, I just watched that Original Gangstas the other day! Chris Duncan was good in it and I agree with the theme behind the movie
Chasing the Carrot = Chasing the Bag
Don’t miss the 💎
Great story! Interviewer gotta let him flow more though!
This interviewer needs to let the guests talk lol
He does that in every interview He's my least favorite interviewer for comedy hype
I gained a whole new respect for Duncan as an actor after watching his performance in Original Gangstas from 1996. Spyro held his own against the legends of 1970s Black action cinema
To make Jamie talented ass pause had to be a show stopper 😂😂🔥🔥
It's crazy since I've seen parts of this interview, I've seen a bunch if stuff w him in it (not counting Jamie Foxx show). Dude is a great actor, he def is official.
He was on the district He had a role on that show for years He's been a guest star on the majority of hit TV shows for the past 20 years Martin family matters The Parkers girlfriends CSI NCIS Criminal minds Veronica Mars Donnie brasco The district just to name a few
braxton was one of my favs especially when you used to say aaaaahhhhh bro hammerhead
Man has been underrated and under-recognized for years! I repent!
He did his thing on Swagger season 2. I’m hoping we get a season 3.
Is the overall show worth watching?
@@MBKSJC2 Oh yea. Great show. O Shea Jackson is in it too. Very relatable for the youth and adults that have experienced or is experiencing tryin to navigate AAU Basketball and High School Basketball. It’s a good watch.
What great interview! Christopher is dope. Much love brother
WOW, what a priceless recollection, Jamie Foxx was STUMPED!!! LOL
Great story! Thanks for sharing Mr Duncan
Wonderful story. I love how actors come to there fruitation of there careers and the suspense of them coming into mainstream
Great interview. Might have to subscribe
Brilliant interview
6:54-7:07 he still got it😂
C. Duncan: "....I was so caught up in just chasing the carrot"..... Interviewer: "Carrot (pause). What does that mean?" Wth?
When someone is uncultured and lack understanding
😂😂
Awkward black white boy moment 😬
😂😂😂😂
@@devinngeorge You can't sound like Mase while asking that question.
Great interview 🎉
Yea drop this whole interview please
Wow!! What a cool story!
Falderal and Ballywho 😭💀
Dude is deep. 🎬
That clip was Iconic!!!!!
This man is amazing 😂😂💯💯💯. Great story!
Broham said “rapscallion”😂
❤ memory lane. To think too that he gave up on what meant most to him only for it to all come back to him. Whats meant to be will be
This man is a great at what he does. Respect to Christopher
I like how he settled right into the character with jamie. He knew exactly what the character of braxton was in that moment.
Didn’t you guys already ask him to explain how he became Braxton in a previous interview that you guys did with him? #StillInterestingNoneTheLess
Great segment that's how its done anyone else playing Braxton would've been uncivilized. Meaning I personally don't think the show would've reached the heights it did without Christopher. 🎤 Drop!
He is very talented actor he can play a whole variety of characters
Jamie took that audition incident out on Doug Williams
😂😂😂😂
Underrated comment😂😂
@@IndependantHustlaz Thanks! it came naturally
He's still in character, call him Braxton and he'll jump and start swearing profusely
This interview just changed my perspective on life. 2Real°
He need to get a chance at a real villian role, directed by someone of quality
Love Braxton 😂 he made that show
To see him in 96 transition from the role in Original Gangsters and Jamie Foxx Show, I was like, "no way". He showed me range at that point...
Such a dope story
The shoulder walk is classic
Bro hammer head was hilarious 😂
He bodies that role. I hope to see him get more jobs and get more diverse roles
“I called him a rapscallion” 😂
The legend of Braxton was born
well braxton was like the carlton of jamie foxx show: very proper and all
But we love them all the same they both taught us we can be our own definition of black and that there's nothing wrong with being educated black man
Interesting story! He shut that lil insult down..lol
Christopher would make a great Malcolm X...
He's good 😂
Dude looks just like Will Smith. I said that for years and I’m still saying it lol. 😂
When I saw him do a gangster that convincingly and Braxton, I knew he was good. I mean for real good.
Man Braxton was my favorite character on the show besides foxx. I always wished him and Carlton Banks would have guest starred together. Lol
Smart Man
To all the creatives out there, listen to what is said here.👍🏿💪🏿🙏🏿✌🏿
Great story
Thus I feel like Braxton was in O.G.'s playing a gangster too.. so I believe its in you, even tho that was a insightful theory being that studio gangsters & wankstas also became a thing, but the character they were looking for in Jamie's show was who he is.
It’s so refreshing to enjoy a segment where they don’t go to their C.H. analyst to me that part is so unnecessary who cares what other comics think
Folderol & Ballyhoo 😂
Braxton: Sisssyyyy
Braxton and Carlton should meet
BRAXTON P HARTNEBRIG !
Thats unskipable nationwide commerical pissed me off lol
it’s amazing what happens when you get out of your own way.
I called him a rapscallion 😂
I think he was tryna figure what the words meant.. ik I am
❤❤❤❤
He look like will smith of u look at him long enough 😂😂
wasnt he on here before with the same questions???? lol
I’m I the only one who thought this was DJ Pooh and red from Friday?
I don't know what any of those words mean so I'ma take them as disrespect 😂😂
They need a better interviewer. All the clips I’ve seen of this interview are great but only because of the class and grace of Christopher B. Duncan. The clip where the interviewer kept trying to compare Duncan’s career to Jamie was cringe af. Do better and respect artists.
Will Smith
WTF
In 10-15 more years
Wow.... Saying he's talented is the greatest understatement ever.
Love this interview he doesn't play the race card he doesnt come from a hostile disposation like alot of these interviews. Love that he was being honest, struggled and talked about the craft of trying to make it and show business. He had done quite a bit of things that I remember seeing him in leading up into the Jamie Foxx show. I remember him being on New York undercover and NYPD blues. Both super popular shows at that point. And what Chris is saying about the audition is actually true because that is exactly how that played out in the first episode of the Jamie Foxx show because Jamie's comedy at least half of it is based on insulting people. So if you come back at Jamie with a dig like that that he clearly didn't expect that leaves him speechless. He left a comedian speechless because he's smart enough to know how he is
Nobody is reading that book BUT you show who you are by saying the race card..george floyd should've taught you better its not a card little dumb vulture it'a a reality 🤡🤡
GTFOH with playing some card. Race exits whether you mention it or not. Conditions based on an environment and socialization of a country based on race exists whether the person involved brings it up. Everybody in this country is conditioned to think of themselves as part of a race. Whites are also a race and act based on it. Two white people working together or talking is also racial. It does not have to be evil, but it is racial.
That's how he officially became a part of the cast instead of being on there for just one episode
