WHO WOULD’VE THOUGHT?!?!
When you’re expecting a dresser but end up finding a vintage Philco TV and stereophonic console.. crazy! Here’s how I flipped this thing with the help of my @harttoolsusa … or check out the link in my bio if you want the full list of supplies used for this flip!
+ I cleaned everything down with some Krud Kutter
+ removed hardware with my #HARTtools 4v screwdriver (everyone needs one of these)
+ used my fancy new #HARTToolsUSA 5” Random Orbital Sander… call me obsessed. It works great, is affordable AND is cordless
+ used my HART multi-tool with the sander attachment to get into all the corners & hard to reach places. This always works like a charm!
+ applied one coat of a raw umber glaze stain to the top, drawers & door. I wiped off any excess
+ applied a few coats of wipe on oil based polyurethane (gloss)
+ added new hardware!

I just picked up a really cute curio cabinet piece with drawers for free that is obviously hobby lobby but the not-so-soild-wood top has a water damaged corner.
I have no idea how to fix it. I'd swear it's pressed cardboard or something but the undamaged part looks just like wood. 😢 Guess I'll try your Bondo trick. It couldn't get much worse. The real issue will be painting/crayon the color to match the dark walnut finish.
Would love to know what state you live in! I'll go back and listen to some old videos. Here in rural Texas we really don't see a lot of vintage stuff like what you have on your channel and I'm not driving into the megatropolis traffic!!! 😵‍💫
But I would, however, drive out of state for a fun weekend bargain hunting! 😊

I'm not so crazy about the fronts of those drawers, If they match the door then it would be a different story but it looks like somebody just had some scrap wood and put it on there. Other than that it's a great renovation it's just the look just rubs me the wrong way and that's all It's just me.
