That's why I would recommend getting an Xbox Gamepass, not only it didn't cost many you also could play this type of games without spending a huge money everytime they released a similar sequel. You could stop your Netflix or movie streaming membership (if you have one of course) because movies it's easier to pirate than games

It doesn’t matter this EA these folks are the same people that keep madden, fifa, nhl afloat year after year after year for the same damn game. This is the path now for the f1 games unfortunately
I think yall are crazy and don't realixe this is ea and they do this with all games. Then yoy have comments like yours every year. Yet every single game from them still sells and still gets played. If you expect them to change idk what to tell you. Either enjoy or don't support them but this is ea they do this with all games. Regardless we see some nice upgrades here and it's def not the same game as you stated. Also if you played the beta it feels way different. You feel the slip you have a harder time finding grip. Conditions matter way more. You have to be way more careful then before and this isnt even the final released product.

If you didn’t get so excited by the tiniest of changes and think you must buy the new game, then EA wouldn’t continue to do stuff like this with their games because they wouldn’t be making money from that way

At this point I just want to see F1 doing a licence deal with iRacing and take sim racing to a new level by having a full junior ladder and F1 grid with proper physics
Iracing already has NASCAR on its hands which it still needed to hand over to its secondary studio Monster Games. They would need to hire a lot more people!

I've been playing it on GamePass since F1 2020, you only notice some minor changes if you skip 2 or 3 titles, and EA doesnt do better. Only a REALLY good and sim-like handling would make me think about buying it.

been praying for better physics since for ever people talk about improvements since f1 22 but it still feels like driving a lead block on ice totally disconnected from the ground the cars don’t feel grippy and fast also the sound and fog like visuals are also big bothers it can’t be that hard to make the cars sound like they do on onboards
It already is a Simlike, it's a simcade. Anymore would probably turn off controller players.

My worst gaming purchase when I bought the F123 bullshit and at release price. I will keep my money for Assetto Corsa EVO and other sims which deserve buying.
I am doing the same or later this year and waiting for sale. For me this isn`t worth a full price title.

Stop buying games on release, wait for then to go on sale. Patches and update will have gone through AND you ll be getting better bang for your buck. Just please stop buying games on release because they are never finished. Its not just ea, its the video game industry as a whole. Wake up already
mate f1 23 is good yes it has its setbacks but be glad u didnt buy f1 22 ive been playing this franchise since 2012 and by far f1 22 felt alot worse then 23

I think the F1 games problem is that it is still available on PS4/Xbox one. PS5 and Xbox Series X are widely available now, and releasing on previous gen is holding the development back because they wont be able to run the game properly if they build it for current gen/PC, and EA/Codies sure as hell arent going to develop 2 versions of the same game for different gens
I don’t think so tbh, as Codemasters point out, the pc version supports low specs. The issue seems to mostly be related to a single studio having to do yearly updates, it’s too little time to make substantial changes. But that said, the lack of track updates is really poor, there’s no excuse for tracks to be so out of date or incorrect. If the main selling point is ‘authenticity’ then tracks that don’t reflect the real tracks then it’s a sad reflection of the level of investment in the series.
That says a lot about the budget that EASports allows for updating tracks and further development. Doesn't seem like any developers of any games on EASports thrive.
The press release statement looks interesting especially about the revamped driver career mode. And more to be mentioned

Those who participated in the F12024 Beta, claimed the game is a huge step backwards. It's regressed to F122 physics, apparently? F122 had the worst physics of the entire series, even for a simcade. Too much on-throttle oversteer made controlling the cars near impossible regardless, of driving style or skill. So, I think F124 is a definite skip based on these reports alone.

I would love if we get live commentary during the race like in FIFA but as an option that you can turn off if you want
F1 22 was the last chance saloon for Codemasters F1 games and they screwed that up. Never again as far as I am concerned.
22 was a horrible game and that’s the consensus across the board with the fanbase. But 23 was a huge improvement.

I think that they need to release one good physics and graphics engine then update the cars every year for a fee or something. This new game every single year does not really work for a racing game if you ask me. By the time most people get it and rounds their friends up to play f1 25 is out.

To me EA must be expecting F1 24 to be a lot better than F1 23 as F1 23 was provided in March as part of PS Plus Essentials. Not seen that before. If a commercial decision by EA then the only reason people would purchase F1 24 is if they considered it a worthy upgrade.
As I strictly race in VR that would be the game changer for me. The last game was really lacking the VR stability.
And no word on the new F2 cars. Bet they won't come in this game

Why wait at all for a sale? Just don’t buy a copy & paste game. That sends a stronger message to EA and then they would have to actually put time and effort in to improving the game to bring people back to buy it. Remember, these people only talk money, so giving them any money shows you’re happy with the service they’re providing

They really need to take their sport games and continuously update them every year with a “2025” update with better graphics/engine/features rather than release the same game with 1 new feature every year

I use EA Play Pro myself, and for me, I'll be getting it for free as a result. I'd imagine it really won't change too much (if at all) compared to previous itterations. It's just hype lingo. That's all it is.
I have been asking for this for the past 6 years and will try again… mouse support? The last F1 game I bought was 2018 and won’t buy another until I can use a mouse instead of those stupid buttons that keep changing all the time. Not holding my breath.

I'm happy to report, EA / Codemasters did better at WRC. It's a shame F1 is just like Fifa for them other then a occassional game with a bit more time spent on it. I hope to see that one day, then I am buying F1 straight away.
Umm... I got WRC in pre release and deleted it a few months back since I play Dirt 2.0 and find it better and actually has VR, etc. So yeah... EA ruined WRC as well. EA really knows how to ruin stuff ;) :)

Btw. you should be able to set a Auto Focus Zone on your camera. Than you can mark the aproximate area where your face is and the microphone isn't in focus anymore.
People seriously expect good physics from EA? EA is known for there Arcade driving games. And nothing has changed sinds 2003. Oke maybe small adjustments has been made to the physics engine but not in 10 years F1 series is going to be called a proper F1 sim game.
I bought it. I’m not excited for it. Only reason for purchase is that it’s one of the most realistic simulators (horrible compared to PC sims) that has online multiplayer cross platform with PC Xbox, and PlayStation. That’s the only reason.

i think codemasters is truly doing a terrible job with F1 and i would love to see someone else make the game honestly instead of just giving people these ridiculous contracts to only allow one company to produce a game lets all the companies compete and make their own games, because EA truly is destroying games like FIFA, and Madden and now its F1

Or just get Assetto Corsa, AM2 or rFactor and mod it. Laser scanned tracks and highly realistic cars with more functionality for extremely cheap
