I'm in love - with this sweet man! Alas and alack I am 74! Great video.
Very informative! Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely well done and definitely keep it up!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
Very informative.. thank you Doc.
Great information
Great presentation! I am 60 and colonoscopy discovered diverticuli. I will increase fiber. Thank you. This gives me a much better understanding.
Exellent information, ,,thank you
I'm 34 and have it I'm so sad. I can't stop crying. I'm so stressed out.
I know how you feel. Very scary and painful. Are you on antibiotics? Are they helping you? Mine started November 23, 2022. Now it is December 28, 2022. Still have the pain , cramps, not much poo. I am scared too. Laxatives are not working. Neither are the antibiotics
Great explanation
Does imaging misdiagnose diverticulois when there are adhesions?
His slightly awkward social interaction reminds me of Sheldon Cooper from Big Bang Theory
I have a lot of bloating does it stop?
I’ve had a couple of attacks and bled a lot. It is so painful I about passed out from the pain.
No Wholemeal bread!, read Wheat belly by Dr. William Davies
Is that Pau Gasol
The sound is not so good, and there are people talking over, while the doctor and/or the person asking a questions
I had a colonoscopy the pain was unbearable I passed out and the procedure had to be stopped awful experience. I was offered a different test a double contrast barium enema which was much much better 😀.
I did eat about 400grammes of cashew nuts and passion fruit before I got my first infection. I have never eaten so many nuts at one time so I am cautious. I’d say in moderation.
ive got diverticulosis very helpful, but still a bit confussing on how to go about it
After my diverticulitis infection I thought I could not eat seeds anymore. The emergency room gave me a sheet that said that. But they used old data. Seeds do not cause the infection.
A whole food diet is the only thing that works for me. If I eat highly processed foods I get symptoms... I haven't had the bad infection again but I'm prone to ibs symptoms if I eat processed foods. I also smoked cigarettes until a couple months ago.
It's only an anecdote but whole food diet and quitting smoking have helped me so much.
Ok how much is 25-40 grams of fiber equated in amount of foods?
Very difficult to obtain unless you're using specific stuff like fiber rich foods other than that everything that we eat has like negative 1 g of fiber so you'd have to eat like 25 hamburgers to get 25 g it's crazy and no don't eat 25 burgers
Went too ER THANKSGIVING DAY🙃 had been waking up about 2am...chilled, a little nausea .......they did CT scan-then my doctor said, “ I think I know your problem”
DIVERTICULITIS
Your video is excellent!
I thank you for educating me at 63 years young.
Me too a day before Thanksgiving 2022
So, why did I get it, no red meat,no processed meat, metamucil, beans , salads, oats, nuts daily? With trying to cut out the little poultry I ate.
I went to see a surgeon at UCH , a top London hospital and he told me that the medical profession don't know much about Diverticular Disease.
I do all the right things yet still get regular infections . Am sooh fed up!
@@cherrymetha3185 :( its horrible. I'm suffering so much now..I hope you are feeling better.
Pat Alessi Oooh no! In fact a consultant in the ER told me to eat very little garlic and onions . She said avoid altogether if possible as garlic and onions aggravate Diverticulitis .
Maritza Rodriguez So sorry , I didn’t get a notification about your comment! 6 months ago! How are you now?
@@maritzarodriguez6256 I’ve been doing a lot a research online and reading that a lot of people have had good results with taking Apple cider vinegar capsules. I was desperate and tried myself so far I have been doing well but I have also included exercise and a better diet. Hope you all feel better and give the capsules a try.
👍👍
I just got this and I don't know why these drs don't give us a serugy stead of wait for them to get worse
I had a colonoscopy WITHOUT a sedative and watched the procedure. Towards the end of the procedure it was incredibly painful.
This doctor explained it better then my doctor.😣 (Who I won't be going back to)
l had very heavy bleeding for a long time. lt stopped on it,s own remarkable. Had a colonaskopia, l have deverticulosis. Never any pain or discomfort, everything normal. Why do l have to have antibiotics for one week in every four weeks for the.rest of my life. l have never had any symtoms apart from the blood. l am in my 70,s
My doctor and specialist have never explained anything to me about it!
Vikas said "The colon has to be prepped.".............Then he giggled.
Good day would taking a daily aspirin For your heart cause this
I just got so SICK because I ate corn the other night. I am still ill.
Corn is GMO. Stop eating GMO. I did, and my diverticulitis went away.
Thank you for being the one to give me this information about corn. I guess I could have checkedz😊
@@dianebryant4684 You're welcome. And actually, corn is GMO in the US, though not in other countries, usually.
Is corn thins bad for this
That sounds completely absurd how can you just eat corn and then have it and then stop and then it goes away I suggest you go get a diagnosis and find out what you're really suffering from
This is BS! About 80% of my diet is fruits and veggies, the other 20% is fish, chicken, nuts, yogurt, dates, prunes, ect, I rarely eat red meat these days other than an occasional burger. I also don't smoke, I work out 5 days a week, the fluids I put in my body is water, fruit smoothies with no added sugar, green tea & honey and a variety of tea with herbal and healing properties. Now I do take supplements like omega 3, vitamin b12, Manganese , Reservatrol, Tru Niagen - but other than that I don't eat junk!!
I am vegan and do all the healthy lifestyle. I have had 5 episodes in 18 months. I understand your frustration. There is still much for the medical community to learn about diverticulitis.
It’s an autoimmune disease.
My friend said he cured himself from diverticulitis with the protocol below:
Week 1,2: Purchase diatomaceous earth (food grade). Start with one tablespoon mixed with grape juice or something non acidic. Do this a few days a week for a two week period.
Week 3,4: take EB (Earth’s Bounty) Oxy-Cleanse as directed on the bottle for a couple of weeks.
Lastly: Take Triphala Extract 1500mg to heal.
The process is long but well worth it according to my friend.
Better than laxatives and antibiotics right? The antibiotics kill my gut health and this year I was healthy, until I was bitten by a Dog twice, 5 months apart, the doctors prescribed major doses of antibiotics even interveniously for nine days. Both times I got CDIFF! I am guessing that the CDIFF caused the diverticulitis. I don't want to take ciprofloxacin or Bactrim with 1500 Metronidazole. For sure I will get CDIFF again, which eats the stomach lining and the colon
Thank you, I will try this! Someone suggested aloe vera as well?!
Colonoscopies are dangerous. You need to do scans first
It's all about what we eat ,....have to have fibre...all the time...primitive country's eat more vegetables and fruit...I have had constipated problems...keep away from donuts ,bread and pizza , have fibre food now ...don't want to get 😫 this disease....awfulness....no blood yet!!
How about Epsom salts, With olive oil? Vitamin C? Oregano oil?
Great information
