This headunit really refreshes the whole honda accord interior. The amount of technology this bring is truly astonishing. 100% This is better than the 2021 Honda accord model.
What's also a huge plus is it has that oem look to it! It doesn't look out of place at all.
I'm really happy how this turned out and the install was straight forward besides relocating the screen.

looks better than before but the stock radio is so ugly in my opinion. I decided to not install one of these and buy a Boss 10" radio instead that replaces the OEM radio. The fact its from China and has no real amp inside it that delivers good power turned me off. I did buy one and it looked nice i decided to not install it for the fact the instructions were difficult to read and it was lacking one of the large cables. I think its a lot of hype with not enough delivery because its all from China and does not have real support like a name brand head unit has. The only downside is you pay a little more and also the clock is no longer working but that's really a small price to pay cuz i mean the clock doesn't have a a very nice display anyway. And wiring isn't that difficult.

Some things I learned from hooking up this unit in my 2010 Honda Accord EX-L:
    1) Apple CarPlay does exist! You just have to click apps in the Android interface > then CarLink (I was afraid at first that I purchased the wrong item! lol)
    2) After hooking all available wires, I noticed my AC and remote control (that unlocks/locks my doors) stopped working. I learned that you don't need to use all the wires. I removed the the adapter/wire that connected to my AC climate control unit (this is the one with the extra red/white cables that say AUX IN). Just use the OEM connection to your climate control, or else your car will act kinda funky (and hot)
    3) Although the video skipped the part where everything was hooked up (GPS, USB, 4G antennas, etc), you'll figure it all out eventually because the parts won't connect if it's not the right shape. All adapters were uniquely shaped
    4) I don't know what the two black 4G cables were for (they're the ones with a black flat piece connected), so I removed it and it didn't mess up anything. I'm guessing these are antennas for cellular connection (if SIM is inserted)
    , but not sure
    5) Do follow the instructions in the video to mount the OEM display first > then AC middle unit > then the head unit. Getting the head unit on was a b, but I learned a slight trick.. You need to make sure the top of the head unit aligns and the rest will follow. I had to use quick force (like a push/slap LOL) to get it snap in place
    6) I did not have to buy any extra parts. With that said, when your device/box arrives, make sure you don't lose any of the things they provided!

    • @CapJoy2023
      @CapJoy2023 Před 2 lety +4

Its a good piece but because there is no screws holding it place, it may fall out at some point. Thats the case for mine now fell out once and won't go back in again. Snap on is just not good enough if you drive quick.

For anyone that’s having issue with sound and got the wrong connector (the 20 pin), just order a rca to aux cable and plug it into the female rca plug they gave you that connects to the new unit. Connect it to the two aux out female rca plugs and plug it into the aux port in the center console. I just ran the wire under the cup holder plastic. Best way around it that I found and works perfect.
Also make sure your car is off when you’re working on it, if your AC went out you probably blew a fuse. You can go underneath the driver side by the pedals and there’s a fuse box to replace the fuse. Hope that helps anyone.

I restarted both my car and phone but it would work, I looked it up solutions online that told me to disconnect my car from CarPlay which made it worse, I plugged in my phone through a aux cord but it’s still not connecting. Do you know anyway to trouble shoot or fix this connection issues? I connect perfectly fine on the phone but it’s not showing up in the actual stereo

Just got my unit in today. After checking all the cables, I noticed that my AUX cable is different from yours. It's a 20-pin male connector to the factory head unit with a split to accept the OEM cable. The only issue is, instead of it splitting into male RCA connectors on mine, it splits into a connector that fits into the same 4g Modem slot on the back of the iDoing unit. I will try the install tomorrow, but I really doubt that I will get any audio without the proper AUX harness as seen in your video.

Sucks to have to wait about 10 more days for the shipping but they were fast to address the problem.

its a little overrated i got a 10" Boss unit in my 09 and it fits where the factory radio is. Swivels and moves up and down and its easier to touch than this one I presume (closer). Also, this unit is said to not deliver that much power, so you would want a aftermarket radio to replace your existing stock radio. This adds up in cost. I payed 360 for the BOss unit, and an extra 70 for a steering wheel control kit. The downside is my clock no longer works and also i can't mirror my phone to it easily without a rooted phone and some apps. But, you don't really want to be watching movies anyways in your car I use it for my job with android auto. I did buy one of these and it got sent to me from China however i was not at all impressed by the instructions and the fact they did not send all the cables needed (the big cable was not there). Just save your money and buy a name brand 10" radio and you will be better off. Unless you fear the clock being blank or having to do wiring (its not hard just if your colorblind) .
