    Don't you have the scar variant though? The design (the line running through the front and keyboard), and the added numpad in the mousepad are the key design elements on the scar variant, which are absent on the regular rog strixes.

    Its a TUF A/F15 by the look of it, with the inclusion of a single strip of expensive GAMER (please steal me) lights and a better panel. Like-for-like hardware, excluding panel, sees a minim of a £500+ mark-up! Again, beyond the panel, the 9740hs 4070 TUF boots inside of 11 secs and lasts 10hrs+ on battery at 75% brightness via YT streaming, 8hrs multi workload and over 2hrs Witcher 3 maxed-out. Don't misunderstand, a great panel can be worth every penny but id rather spend it on say an external unit like a Samsung G7 32" or LG C2 42" whilst the included 144hz 100%sRGB 300+ nits is pretty good to bang about considering the TUF is £1,099. You need to use the "MYAsus" to prevent charging beyond 80% to secure battery life.

    Saying the packaging looked like a Nike box made me chuckle - you're not wrong! Sick Diablo shirt, btw. :)

    Been looking at the 4060 model because of the price. The 4060 is still an absolute beast of a card even against the 4070. The differences are honestly super minor from what I gather, so if you're on a tight budget like me, I'd go for the i7 13th gen plus the 4060. Thanks for the review my friend.

    In Germany we got this version:
    ASUS ROG Strix G16 Laptop | 16 Inch FHD+ 165Hz/7ms Anti-Glare IPS Display | Intel Core i9-13980HX | 16 GB RAM | 1 TB SSD | NVIDIA RTX 4070
    Which makes me think twice before getting it 🤔

      If it’s priced well, there is nothing really bad in that config. The display could be nicer but honestly QHD is my favorite gaming resolution. Performance isn’t as hit in 4k, it isn’t as expensive as UHD and tends to have better refresh rates available that 4K. The FHD+ isn’t bad but I’d probably look for a separate monitor if I wanted to have a focus on display technology and quality.

      @@ThunderGodKhanI got exactly the config this guy listed and upgraded to 64gb ram and another 1TB NVMe SSD as well within like 2 weeks of purchasing, super easy to do as well and better than paying a big premium for extra specs pre installed

    Can that RoG boot sound be disabled? If not, that'd be a major problem for anyone turning it on anywhere that's not home!

    • @ThunderGodKhan

      Yes you can in the BIOS

    • @TheDJUnreal
      @TheDJUnreal Před 7 měsíci

      @@ThunderGodKhan Ah good. It'd be nice if there was a way to do that without going into the BIOS (after all, many 'first gaming laptop' users won't even know what a BIOS is) - maybe an option in a future version of Armoury Crate? Either way, glad it can at least be turned off somewhere! Did disabling it help with your storage speed issue?

    do you recommend this over the legion slim 7i?

    • @ThunderGodKhan
      @ThunderGodKhan  Před 5 měsíci

      I like the really Lenovo legion 7i and think if it fits more in your price range you should buy it.
      BUT not the slim. Product planners focus heavily on shrinking the z height and making thermal solutions that accommodate meeting baseline, agreeable performance spec versus focusing on getting the absolute best performance out of the system, really letting your specs shine. I cannot stress enough how much performance is left on the table in thin laptops and it costs more usually!
