At the recording of the Big Finish audio series, Jenny - The Doctor's Daughter, in July 2021, we put your questions to Georgia Tennant.
---
Jenny, the Doctor’s daughter, is back and ready to save planets, fight monsters and save the day once again... but maybe not in the same manner as her father!
Georgia Tennant stars in four brand new full cast audio adventures from Big Finish Productions. Forget diplomacy and patience. When there’s fun to be had, Jenny - first seen in the 2008 Doctor Who television episode The Doctor’s Daughter - and sidekick Noah (the calming influence played by Sean Biggerstaff) are sure to end up in as much trouble as ever.
---
Jenny was made as a soldier but has a Time Lord’s heritage - and that Time Lord is the Doctor. Exploring the universe, Jenny found a friend - Noah, a mystery boy from nowhere.
Together they’re ready to save planets, fight monsters, and save the day with nothing but wit and instinct - and an awful lot of running.
The four fabulous adventures in this box set are as follows:
Inside the Maldovarium by Adrian Poynton
Jenny and Noah find a priceless item up for auction at a disreputable venue - with an even less trustworthy owner. Dorium Maldovar might seem pleased to see them, but what’s his real agenda? Is Jenny here by chance, or is someone spinning a web…?
Altered Status by Christian Brassington & Matt Fitton
On a utopian world, the perfect society toils towards its worthy ‘Cause’. But the hard-working Suits are more than they seem, and the Department Head is something else altogether. And when Jenny and Noah scratch the surface, they find silver underneath. The Cybermen are coming…
Calamity Jenny by John Dorney
When Noah and Jenny mosey on into the Old West, it’s surely a coincidence that Jenny looks exactly like the town’s most notorious outlaw. But as they’ll discover, anyone who crosses ‘Calamity Jenny’ suffers an unlucky fate - and it’s usually fatal.
Her Own Worst Enemy by Lisa McMullin
Jenny wants bounty hunter cyborg Colt-5000 off their trail once and for all. Her plan involves cybertech founder Seavus Colt, time travel, and showing somebody the true value of their life. But the web of time can’t be pulled apart without a cost…
In an interview with RadioTimes.com, star Georgia Tennant said: “It took a while for me to want to give that character further life. I think mainly because I felt like it was kind of a perfectly formed character... she disappeared off into the universe and that felt like a lovely full stop - with a little question mark after it. And that was nice.
“So I felt like if I brought her back, I wanted it to be the right thing to have done. I didn’t want people to be like, ‘Oh, here she is again!’ - so it took me a long time and it was quite a creative process with Big Finish to figure out how that would work. So it took a couple of years actually.”
Script editor Matt Fitton explained further: “This range has a different tone from a lot of the things Big Finish produces - it’s almost overtly comedic. Georgia, who is also associate producer, wanted these releases to be enjoyed by everyone. So you don’t need to be steeped in Doctor Who lore to understand it. A key note for the range was to make it fun.”
And producer Emma Haigh added: “It’s great to have Jenny and Noah back and I’ve loved getting to know them, their world and their adventures. This box set takes us on a great roller-coaster of a ride where we learn a little more about our heroes’ histories and those of their enemies. Saddle up for some fun!”
The cast also features guest appearances from Michael Brandon (Dempsey & Makepeace), Simon Fisher-Becker (Harry Potter), Siân Phillips (I, Claudius) and Sara Powell (Last Christmas), fresh from her triumphant appearance as Mary Seacole in the Doctor Who episode, War of the Sontarans.
Jenny - The Doctor’s Daughter: Still Running is available to own as a collector’s edition box set at £24.99 and as a digital download at £19.99, exclusively from the Big Finish website.
Big Finish listeners can also save more by ordering Jenny - The Doctor’s Daughter & Jenny - The Doctor’s Daughter: Still Running in a bundle at £48 on CD and £40 on download.

Must be cool to have two episodes named after you. The Doctor's Daughter and The Doctor's Wife.
The Doctor needs to have an on-screen reunion with Jenny.
Imagine how surprised she would be to discover her dad is now her mum
@@maldon3659 yeah it would.
@@maldon3659 she grew from a hand so i doubt she would have been phrased.
Let’s go, new Jenny season, hopefully she can meet ten again one day
I'm hoping she gets to meet The Ninth Doctor
It might get pretty weird when she has to pretend her husband is her dad, though.
@@XanderWhovian But that's how they MET. David's also already mentioned the surreal factor of having one of his favourite doctors (5th - Peter Davison) over for sunday breakfast repeatedly
@@BerylLx Yeah, that is how they met, ergo, they weren't even dating at the time, let alone married. Sure, the feelings may have been there at the time of filming, but now that they've long since acted on those feelings, it'd be a bit inappropriate. Big Finish dodged this by pairing Georgia with her actual father.
OMG she answered my question! Ahhhh thank you
Loved the character, glad the Big Finish are giving her further adventures.
What if Jenny meets Susan? I reckon Jenny would be interesting as an auntie to Susan.
Maybe Jenny is Susan's mother.
Aw, she has David’s name tattooed on her arm. That’s sweet.
I'd love to see Jenny return in the television show at some point, it's one of those things that was left open but I'm glad that you guys are making good use of her character! :)
My problem is that no one has put forward a live action episode where Jenny meets the newest regeneration of the Doctor. That would be an epic episode, especially given how they could do a spin off at that point.
I Hope Jenny Goes Up Against The Daleks
I remember when she was born. Where did that time go? Comes across as a charming down to earth young woman. Good luck with future projects.
Big up the Georgia
this made me love her more and I didn't know that that was possible
David Tennant's my favourite Doctor. I met Georgia's father Peter Davison in 2009 and The Doctor's Daughter is one of my favourite episodes of New Who.
Love the sonic vending machine! Lol
Love her 'DAVID' hand tattoo!
I love her so much ❤
I love her I wish it was TV show :(
Yeah I hope we get spin off TV shows of Jenny and Susan one day. It's crazy how the Doctor has family out there and we never get to see them.
I wonder if Big Finish would do a story with Jenny meeting the fifth Doctor😀
They did, its in the legacy of time box set. Its called "Relative Time"
So excited for the boxset! I love Jenny, and her audios are among my favourites to listen to
Did she just come up with a sonic multi-tool or swiss army knife?
David Tennant you lucky lucky man
Georgia, you lucky, lucky woman! 😍🔥
I was asleep during the interview T.T Thank you Georgia for all your work in Doctor Who and Big Finish ! You were the turning point for me to give Big Finish a chance. I regret nothing. :P Looking forward to more content :) Having ADHD I didn't think the audios would work for me, I am happy to know I was wrong. The audios are great for walking about.
Killed me with the Sonic vending machine lol.
Glad you're on board with the audios. Great way to pass the time!
Thank you, Georgia.
"People in the house lose the tupperware lids" David...ha ha! 😂
I’d LOVE the Tardis to produce a sonic vending machine. That’s BRILLIANT!! Georgia has probably come up with the most unique Whovian idea in decades. Yes, 13th’s Tardis produces biscuits but what is truly needed is a machine to produce the appropriate sonic for each adventure-possibly multiple tools during an episode. My imagination is going crazy. I love it!!!!!
"Does Ty have to pick a new last name to continue the family tradition i.e. Peter Moffet, David McDonald?"
I would say he was born Moffet, adopted McDonald and then, because of trouble in the US, the family had to change to Tennant.
Well, both Peter and David were forced to change their names because of existing people called Moffett and McDonald, so unless there is already a Ty Tennant, the whole family tradition doesn’t work as he wouldn’t be forced to change his name.
But if he did, he could choose Lowe, just to be in sync with his Dad.
@@jonnaughton David Tennant was originally Arthur Lowe?
Can we all agree that she's adorable😍💕💕💕 And so f* cool👏👏👏👏
She's great
Georgia is so cool and funny omg
I love Jenny...I love Georgia Tennant...I love Big Finish...I love Stories.
She is so cool 💕
2:23 I thought it was confirmed that there would be
I actually spotted you in Miss Marple's Why didn't they ask Evans and watching Staged during lockdown and also Dr. Who fan the penny dropped. I loved my amazing Dad and know you've got one too and also a great hubby absolutely. Kudos!!! Sneaky idea you keep your head while all around ... others are losing theirs, did my best with Kipling's If ...
Love the vending machine!

If I could be sure not to (*%$ up the past, I would rather go there then the future. I'm with you there, Georgia.
Hope Peter Davison is well nowadays. The _best_ Doctor, in my opinion.
What? Pete davidson played the doctor? When?
@@jontullett9068Back in the 80's.
Will the doctors daughter reunite after the 13th Doctor regenerates
I had her Dad's book of alien monsters signed by the man himself
How do you not age?! Is is the TARDIS? Is it...stress? Please don't tell me I have to have 5 kids to look as good as you do
You cut her off when she was saying something at the end!! She was gonna say how lovely it was doing the interview!! 😠
I would say if I ever meet Georgia at any conventions I would love to ask her if she is a fan of Blakes Seven and if B7 ever got remade for tv which she be keen to appear in B7 either as a villain or as a heroine I am surprised in billions of ways her real life dad never as an actor ever got to appear in B7 in either the role of a villain or even a hero shame really but there we are
She’s had many kids but yet hasn’t aged much at all
got that ten jaz........Don’t be rude
She’s got that Davison moves
star trek is bigger
