no need. nothing he does is impressive. this looks like a late first round guy to me. the kind of guy where i would not be surprised if he didn't actually make the roster. the kind of guy you draft at 30 and think damn we reached. this is crazy. I was wondering why all the sims having him busting like a balloon filled with lead. they legit think anthony bennett is better. and he's from france. they've been cranking out busts not named wemby for sometime now. I don't get it.
For real. Are there any highlight channels that don't do this garbage? I check out prospect highlights to see something that tells you something about the player's abilities

Man like 90% of these are on the fast break when it is easiest to score. The defense is not set. It seems like he can move well for someone at 6'9 but I wanna see more of what he can do in the half court too.
congratulations, you are discovering the principle of the margin of progression, we are not looking for the best draft rookie but the player with the most margin of progression which we do not necessarily see in the highlights given their youth. If we wanted high-level players directly we would not bother drafting kids

Uh sir… you not watching the same video as me? I counted spot ups, and cuts to the rim in the half court. Plus, if the kid can get out and run the break, that’s only a plus for us. Our offense was too much pound dribbling last year. Give the brother a shot!

Great in transition both passing and setting up teammates and finishing the break himself. Looks like the shot is good but I gotta see more work in the half court. I’m gonna go check out some more highlights

I see the potential, but is the word "potential" what usually characterizes the top pick in the NBA draft? I'm looking at his scouting reports & mostly what I'm reading is loaded with that word & includes a lot of statements about things he has to work on. I'm also looking at his stated physical measreables as including a 31" max vertical & a 6'9.5" wingspan. Those are nowhere near elite for an NBA player, let alone a wing, if that's what he is. It's tough to get a read on these Euro players because stats are meaningless. This kid scored 10 points a game & added 3.3 rebounds, which tells us very little since we don't know how many minutes he played. I've seen Euro league stats that looked worthless but then when you watch the video footage the guy looks NBA ready. On balance this seems like a meh pick to me, a guy who might make a good NBA player or might be just another guy on a roster who we forget about in a couple years.

I know these are just highlights but. He looks like a high energy player who can run the fast break. He looks like a decent enough passer. I would like a larger sample size from 3. But I think with a pg like Trae he should be successful

I need to convinced that the Atlanta Hawks did not use their #1 NBA Draft Pick on 6'9 Zaccharie Risacher, who will most likely spend a year in the G-League and is currently the SAME player as current Hawks Forward 6'8 Jalen Johnson. LOL.
I cannnot see Zaccharie Risacher starting over Forward Larry Nance Jr or getting more minutes than 6'10 Forward Mouhamed Gueye.

Looks good tbh, can dribble, penetrate, runs fast, has a decent shot. Obi Toppin has all that too and he isn't a superstar or a first pick...But..nobody really knows how the picks will turn out to be in the future.. If he works hard, he can be a solid role player if nothing else.

I don’t think you understand that he literally just turned 19 and as far as his height goes he shot up to 6”9 pretty quickly and they say this guy is someone who is still growing. Basically he is learning how to develop his new height so things like that are pretty common such as what look like awkward landings to you. It’s not as bad for him especially since it’s not like he weighs 240-250 pounds. He’ll be fine

He needs to develop a consistent perimeter shot bc I didn’t see many 3’s on this tape, but he’s physically gifted w a long wingspan and stride. His ability to block shots and go up strong on both ends of the floor didn’t go unnoticed, and he showed some ability to be able to create off the ball. He’s very raw for how young he is but with time and development he could definitely be something special in 2-3 years

The good thing is these haters have lowered expectations so much that it's going to be easy for Zac to do better than anticipated. He is going to be an excellent player. His defense alone - that you don't see here- guarantees him playing time in his first year. He is tall, long, active in defense, you'll see. And offensively , he is better than what people credit him for although of course it's a work in progress, like for all teenagers, seriously. 4 or 5 years from now, you'll wake up and he is a top 3 wing in the NBA, he has a lot of tools, a lot.

Safe pick. This class really did not have stand out talent. Regardless, I would've banked on Sarr's potential even if he didn't have a private workout.
Potential just means you have stopped sucking yet. Not even a hawks fan but I’d like to see him succeed but the NBA draft is a fickle thing. This was a real strange draft year with no bonafide stud and the NBA get those drafts more than any other sport. This is hype time year, come back in 4 years when his contracts up.
