This is so helpful content for all travellers, northeast is not costly for those already in the region, if you still wanna travel with decent budget, one can take the train to guwahati but it will take more time than flights and places such as Sikkim if you're going to North Sikkim is a bit costly. In Meghalaya, you can take 🚌 or local shared cab but best if you hire. The bottom line is if you travel in a group it's cheaper oh yes if solo you can get a hired bike.

Also couple can take bike rent it will be cost effective. Recently been to Meghalaya .first time tried bike renting it really helped to cut cost and travel at our convenience.

Western ghats is not just these. Its way more than these treks. When you descend down to Uttara Kannada district, you have most beautiful treks and waterfalls which are beyond imagination
