Love y'all stories. I was on the fence about coming out to my Jamaican parents this year. It's been long enough living in the closet. It's been decades. Hearing that your Jamaican mum wasn't great in the beginning, but 8 years later told you she still loved you, made me realize as uncomfortable as it may be, I have to come out to my parents. I know their viewpoints on the subject (it's not great). But I definitely need to start the process of coming out so as to give them the time to hopefully come around to it. It might take longer, as I'm a Jamaican living in Jamaica, so coming out might be a little different than if I was in the States. But it has 2 be done, ripping the bandaid off. So thank you for sharing your stories. It really made me reflect on mine and now I know what decision I'm going to make. 🌈 ✌🏽

Guys don't go and come out if you still depend on your parents and are still living with them cause your life can become a living hell. Always test the water first. If they seem like the one to kick you out or make u suffer keep your mouth shut. Lie if you have to. Don't be naïve and stupid. Life is hard enough. Believe me I know aaall about it.

I love coming out stories am jamaican and my mom is your mom😂😂😂 i remember i had a 3some 1 night with 2 girls so they were at my house and my mom pop up early in the morning all 3 of us was still naked the door wasnt locked so she let let her self in i was in the bathroom 😂 i heard her voice saying you guys dont qear clothes 😂 if i could crawl into a hole i wouldve qe never talked about it she left a few minutes after 😂😂 but we never talked about me being gay just knows she knows because she never met a bf and whenever she comes by my house its always women😂😂so she knows she is just not fund of it😂😂

I don’t agree with treating children with hatred and justifying it with scripture. However, just to address the first part of what you said, if one truly believes in God, their actions and fruits are reflective of that. The Bible says that those who habitually sin don’t abide in love. And since God is love, this suggests that ppl who habitually sin never knew God in the first place. I myself(before I was born again) used to experiment with the same gender so I can definitely sympathize with ppl like yourself who go through this. But at the same time, God is very clear about this lifestyle. There’s no way around Leviticus, romans 1, 1corinthinans 6:9-10, and 1timothy 1 and what happened to sodom and Gomorrah. You cannot serve 2 masters. You cannot serve sin and God.

Eli you should acknowledge that anyone whether straight or gay who accepts Jesus as their Savior based on John 3:16 will be saved.
To type all those other scriptures is judgemental and out of context. Especially when you know you were not there at the translation table of those scriptures in the Bible. Whatever judgmental "habitual sin" you speak of is based on your dirty mind. Habitual sin of what? People wake up to brush their teeth and have breakfast, going to work, watching TV, spend time with family and friends? No. You and other people who speak of a habitual sin or "lifestyle" when you see same gender loving couples are just thinking about gay sex. So what does this say about you Eli? You typed all those scriptures scattered throughout the Bible to think you made a point? Gay or homosexual existence does not just mean sex. Do you know how many gay people exist who have never ever had sex but they are ridiculed and labeled to be a homosexual or gay?? Young men whose voices are too high or they can't play "masculine sports"? Stereotypical gay men who work in the salon or lead church choirs? Naturally born gay people usually get called gay before they can even turn 18. Jesus is more concerned about salvation not orientation. Even when a gay person is born again in Christ it does not mean they turn straight just like straight people born again in Christ do not turn homosexual. Plus anyone who claims to be ex-gay or ex homosexual like Jackie Perry or other celebrity ex gays are all still gay people married or sleeping with straight people. Look at all the years of ex gay camps to turn gay people straight and deliverance attempts. You need to really reconsider and prayfully stop oppressing people with scriptures. Jesus did not focus on habitual sins and the outer appearance. He focused back then and still focuses on the heart. It is the position of your heart in Christ. Meaning if you die in the middle of a flood the question is did you accept Jesus as your Savior or not. Not are you gay or straight? Learn about love. Love which is who God is. Being born gay after the fall of Adam and Eve is very possible. Intersex people exist too. People born with both genitalia in one body. Do all those scriptures apply to them too? No because it's about salvation. The Bible says anyone can be saved when they accept Jesus as their Savior -John 3:16.
Eli and/or anyone else who condemns the homosexuals do not have any authority other than God. There are autistic, blind, and deaf people of all types of people born everyday who need salvation which is what really matters.
