Love the analogy of driving a car and looking ahead, best piece of advice for starting out and learning how to cut curves. Practice makes perfect so I better start practicing. Thank you for taking your time to explain how to use a bandsaw.
Thanks for all your videos. While many other CZcamsrs provide motivation and entertainment for my woodturning hobby, you have been my Academy of Woodturning.
Thanks
You are a gifted teacher! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I love your channel. ^5

Great Video! I'm getting a band saw for Xmas and this really helps me think about how it will be useful! Thank you for sharing!

Good tips! I've been working more on the bandsaw in the past year or so and I learn new stuff all the time. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks
Thank You for sharing this info, recently purchased a bandsaw so this was great to find.
I'm about to get a bandsaw and I've watched a gazillion videos to help me choose the right saw and to understand what I'm getting myself into. There is good information in a lot of these videos, although much repetition. THIS video is unlike the others. It provides excellent, practical details about how to actually handle the wood while cutting with a bandsaw and how to get the cuts you want with the blade you're using. Outstanding!
What did you get?
@@russwetzel1972 The 10-inch Rikon. i still dont know much about bandsaws but I'm starting to suspect that this is a pretty good one. There are a couple things I"m not crazy about. My impression is that the tool-less blade-guides and its overall quality and solid build are a big help towards making the cuts I'm aiming for.
Clever channel name 👏
Outstanding video .....
As always, Informative video! Thanks
Thanks
Some great tips here, thanks.

What’s the best all around band saw blades do u recommend?
Tpi also.
Great tip!!!
The cop out answer is... it depends. 95% of my work is done with a 1/2" 3-4tpi blade as this is a rough cutting machine for me and I cut green wood often. That is extremely coarse and other woodworkers think me an idiot for using it so much. My other blade is a scrolling blade. Both are bought from a local commercial supply place where they are welded up to specific lengths off of a long rolled up blade. $13-$15 They don't last forever but at that price I don't really care.
You have a beautiful mind, you know that right?. brilliant. Thanks a bunch.
Thanks
thanks
Great tips! Really enjoy your videos(there was a time when I found you just a tad bit "silly," lol,) more and more(next time where a tie?) Kidding...cheers...rr
Thanks, but no ties... they could get caught.
👌👍
Were you a schooled teacher or teacher of some sort? Very well explained, much appreciated! Cheers Sean
Thanks, I taught technology at the High School level for 7 years.
Hay I really like your vids especially the ww'n tips I watch all of them 😀But I was wondering if you would make a project build put to music?I always liked your montages you used to make and I understand that it takes a lot of time to edit I was just wondering if you would make one or two 😁
Look at the "Artsy Fartsy" playlist. I have a lot of them.
wortheffort thanks ☺️ just when I thought I'd seen all your videos
This technique for curves doesn’t really work for say a bandsaw Box. Would like to see your ideas on cutting continuous curves like a bandsaw boxed.
The is great
I have a 5 1/2 that was made 1889...still going strong..
still will be in another century
How can you have only have 1778 views? I watch your other video and its idiot! You look to not be the only person with that issue!
