- Hi all Sabaton fans!
Just HAD to make this since Sabaton is one of my favorite bands and Shooter is a really great movie. Together i though maybe, awesome? :)
I'm no pro at video editing so please rate nicely, hope you enjoy!
Addition: Please note that as stated below that the song and the video is not really related and are only put together for action / entertainment value. As many of you have stated, the true hero from the Finnish winter war is of course Finnish soldier "Simo Häyhä", which supposedly injured and killed in excess of +500(!) soviet soldiers during this harsh war, which in fact was carried out as a long term solo mission, in many ways without the help of modern technology and a spotter in the team (even more impressive!).
Disclaimer:
This movie is made purely for entertainment and the relation to the soundtrack is not originally intented.
I do not own either the music and/or video material included in this movie. I also do not own the soundtrack recorded by Sabaton from the album "Coat of Arms". The persons and events in this motion picture is fictitious. Any similarity to actual persons or events is unintentional.
Wtf everyone talking about american snipers... "the white death" is an actual person, Simo Häyhä, a finnish no-scope sniper in winter war. That's what the song is about.
He also has the world record of sniping, about 500 confirmed kills.
Kettumaki12 505.
SUOMI PERKELE!
kananas yeaah
Kettumaki12 and 200 kill with a submachine gun
Kettumaki12 Oh wow tell me more! He broke the hearth of over 500 parents, what a fucking hero.
Simo Hayha got 505 kills with his sniper rifle and a further 150 or so with his SMG and his knife. The russians sent everything after him, the shelled him with artillery, it only tore his jacket and he laughed it off, they sent commando and counter sniper teams after him, he killed them. They even tried carpet bombing areas they thought he might be, he was not there. in the end he got shot in the face with an explosive bullet, that stopped him for about a week, then the war ended... this guy is one of histories true bad-asses.
Just the fact they carpet bombed areas and sent artillery for the sole purpose of trying to kill one person just proves how fucking beast he is.
And he didn't even use a scope, it was all with iron sights.
Not to mention the bugger died of age... Bloody hell.
I'm from Finland and that's true what he says about Simo Häyhä
I expected nothing less from a Finn. If Soviets bombarded his positions with Nokia phones...
btw this song is about a finnish sniper during the winter war, Simo Häyhä
Simon Doge simo häyhä is world best sniper
it depends from point of view... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivan_Sidorenko
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simo_H%C3%A4yh%C3%A4
i agree...different type of war...different type of tactics used...that is why i said it depend of point of view...ww2 is when use of sniper is in rise...so it was a bit harder when you know that Germans also got pretty good snipers as well so Sidorenko had to watch out not to get in their scope...
We all know! They used this video because there is no movie about Simo
What makes me smile is that all the guys in this film are nowhere near as badass as the dude the song is written about. He made hundreds of kills and scared the russian military shitless with nothing so much as an iron-sighted bolt-action rifle!
hopefully they think we still have that kind of war borns in our ranks. might keep them away from our lands if they are not yet satisfied after Ukraine. tho like we would not be watching over the east border. their movements are well know. sure some want to join NATO. yeah sure, than we would have to give them our last coins and they would have troops in our country. what happens if we dont pay? do they attack us? most likely. and we have survived with out NATO from earlier wars and back than we had even less men and heck we only had 32 tanks back than. now we have far more military force if russians decide to attack. at least we go down fighting for our freedom.
MrAnimepredator as far as I heard America has moved a lot of men and equipment to Romania so they are preparing for something big
The trolltastic gamer bros guess they found oil or something from there. and either way, they would be against russia. if putin wants so, russia would destroy them in an instant.
MrAnimepredator not likely.its about Ukraine wanting to join UN and putin not letting them.still I doubt there will be a war.if so.grab your homemade nuke shelters
go underground and pray!
They bombed and shelled his position for days and still didn't kill him
It's incredible how the world's best sniper never even used a scope. 505 confirmed sniper kills. 201 confirmed SMG kills
Think about the amount of unconfrimed kills
@@nopejustdecline612 Oh look commies cryin here
@@JV-bj4kx what?
Simo Häyhä is one of the reasons I'm proud to be Finnish! That and VIKINGS!!!
Unfortunately Finnish are no Vikings
Simo Häyhä -movie is in the making and its coming out in 2017, when Finland turns 100 year old country. It's gonna beat this movie just because it's Häyhä movie (not documentary, a movie based on real thing).
Have to check it up!
Will it only be coming out in Finland or do you think the states also?
+rodgerdodger1897 i would guess scandinavia to, they will make an english version of it though i think :p would be weird to make a great movie for just 1 country to enjoy :)
+Migo Elmigo good, about time that legend deserves to be recognized by many more
Simo Häyhä, the best hacker of all times. That fucking aimbotter
so true
+Onu Ants 700+ kills without death, thats pretty crazy k/d ratio :D
Yea, i know. No wonder, that Russians banned him.
+Toveri Punainen 700+ k/d ratio with no scope kills with scout.
505 CONFIRMED KILLS. Imagine how many more he got...A War Hero!
u say this is white death? we have one white death and he is the Simo Häyhä! legendary finnish sniper on winter war
Sends shivers down my spine. Love Sabaton, Love Shooter
Simo Hähya. One of the Best snipers to Live
Simo Häyhän muistolle, kova oli äijä.
Around 70's if i remmeber right. You may find that news article from finnish librarys. And what comes for his injury, you got only one part right; he survived. He did not kill guy who shot him. Häyhä's face was blown away, and he did not walk away from there, his own troops carried him away. He was in coma
I'm ex Navy combat veteran swcc love the idea of it
My father was a Tu 142 pilot in Indian Navy.
Simo was a finnish sniper in the winter war in WW2.He got 500 kills with his riffle and 200 with a automatic gun.Simo used no scope cuz he was to short and the sun reflected in the normal scope and that would give out his location. He had snow in his mouth so the enemy couldnt see his breath.Simo was hit by a bullet and he fell in a coma.......Two weeks later he woked up and the winter war was over.Simo died in the age of 92 years old in Finland.Finland FTW...PS sorry for grammar mistakes :)
Almost 500.000 views, didn't expect that when I put this together! :) Thanks for all critics also, both positive and negative!
R Elm Awesome! XD
Thanks!
R Elm Finns like this song. =)
One of their best so far maybe :)
R Elm Absolutely! Häyhä and Törni. Not bad for a nation of 4 million. In the days.
A sniper is originally someone hunting for snipes (birds), later someone firing from an ambush, now usually someone shooting with high caliber at longer distances is perceived as sniper. Thus the term "Sniper rifle" initially refers to a very precise, long distance weapon that fires high-speed bullets, now basically a precise high caliber rifle, but scope is not neccessary. He (Simon Häyhä) preferred iron sight so the sun doesn't glance off the lense and reveal him.
In this move the guy is called a badass for killing 100 guys Simo killed over 500 with his rifle alone. In fact a lot of fictional badasses can't compair with simo's kill count.
-T-X-M- The movie's guy is 100% fictional, The song itself is about a real man named Simo Hayha.
-T-X-M- true true
gunmunz and dont forget the about 300 unconfirmed kills and yes i dont like the movie too
DerUnbekannte Yes though those kills were made by his SMG not by his rifle from what I heard
he rarely used his smg bt had with it some confirmed kills
Frankieonpc Thanks for letting me know the name of the song before i even heard of Sabaton
Simohäyhä is my idol ❤
There is no men like Simo Häyhä anymore in Finland, but I truly must admire Simo Häyhä, how skilled man he was! Excellent shooter!
simo häyhä!!!!!
Kyllä
:)
ja tää kusipää on laittanu jonku helevetin shooterin tähä >_
niinpä
The first music video I saw for White Death years ago, time flies. :O
The song is about finnish mlg no-scoper. His name is Simo Häyhä. The description is false + you can check the lyrics if you dont believe me c:
Took me years to find this again one of the best amvs I know
-MRBEAST- C-OPS Thanks man! It was down for I don't know why, but back again :)
R Elm thanks for the reply
Thanks for all your comments! I know that many of you complain that it is not true to the story, which I think is very clear :)
If you look around, there has already been made nice videos about the original story, this one is only made for fun, since both the song and the movie are (and I think many agree) pretty cool!
+The Stalker Done :)
Nice video man, I really liked how you choose the scenes and how they fit to the song even though the lyrics talk about someone else
9/11 2001, one of the best days in my life, everybody joking etc.
In military and law enforcement terminology, a sniper rifle is a precision-rifle used to ensure more accurate placement of bullets at longer ranges than other small arms. The term is often used in the media to describe any type of accurized firearm fitted with a telescopic sight that is employed against human targets, although "sniping rifle" or "sniper's rifle" is the technically correct term for such a rifle.
The song is about Simo Häyhä
THIS FILM IS ROCKS !! THANKS MAN, THANKS FROM POLISH :D
This video just makes no sense with the song. He only used ironsighted sniper and a submachine gun. He also never fought in other than winter.
Sadly there are no fucking GUNCAM clips from the real white death...and no other HISTORIC MATCHING SNIPER Videos from the WW2...and I have respect for your Wikipedia skills...
JayKayRQ Probably because having an extra guy to film it would make him more visible, since they didn't have small camera's you could put on the barrel back then.
TheLuckyday11 probably because no one would give a fuck about filming sniper footage in the fucking world war while everything around you was dying and falling apart? And you barely had any resources to sustain yourself, you'd not be able to make any filming footage form infantery/sniper soldiers and i dont even think that they really thought about that
JayKayRQ Yeah that too, but there is quite a lot of footage from normal infantry assaults and everything.
Artistic license, as bad as it is.
Should point out that this man was virtually unstoppable to the point that the soviets feared specifically him, and even tried counter snipers and carpet bombings (both of which failed) his record is 505 confirmed kills in a little under 100 days, 200 unconfirmed.
i served in army and we called it marksman rifle and everyone laughed to people who actualy called them sniper rifles...
I served in the USMC, and built M40 Series SNIPER RIFLES. Guess that your army doesn’t know what a sniper truly is…
The real man this song is about was a bigger bad ass than any Hollywood creation.
But nobody said that this video is related to the happenings in 1940, you, R elm, wrote in the description, this is fictional, it's not related to the Winter war, so why do so many people have a problem with it?
Thanks for reading, think many missed this part, plus, there is already a ton of WW2/Sabaton (really good tho) related stuff made. It's actually a shame they did not make an official video for such a good song! :-)
+R Elm True, but I think your video is very good anyway, not one problem that it's an american movie
espacially it's about the sniper "white death" a finnish marksman with about 800 hits, 200 of them confirmed. when he was asked, why he was that good he just answerd: pratice!
He used iron sight cause using scope he would have to raise his head too high thus making him easier target for enemy snipers.
And because of the sun glare
TheLuckyday11
aaahahahahahahahaha XDDD sun glare in Finland! That was a good one, made my day lol ;DD
SicknessNfilth Have you ever been here? Its even more common in north. Ja teille suomi sankareille syy siihen miksi se ei käyttäny tähtäintä oli se että sitä vitutti kun linssi meni huuruun pakkasel.
Good soong, good move, good youtube clip. Thanks :)
This Video is just awesome !! And the song is great !! Dont listen to Hater Bitches like JakeNukem3D Just keep on making Videos
Thanks man :)
R Elm
ya this song is pretty awesome keep up the work
+Klaus Himmler I kinda agree with T-M-X, it was about on of the best shooters EVER. Maybe not so fitting for murican's that fought for oil hmh
+-T-X-M- I don´t think R Elm ment the video as an insult to Simo... And do you really need to hate the americans so much? It´s just a movie (and a great one Imo), so just enjoy the music!
R Elm: Awesome video Imo!
You are indeed correct, for all I know there were no vikings in Finland aside from maybe a few individuals that travelled abroad. "Among the Finns' western neighbours, the Norse of Scandinavia, it was a common belief that the Finns were wizards. In the Norse sagas, inclusion of a Finnish element almost always signifies a supernatural aspect to the story." Taken from wikipedia. Not the most credible source I know but still.
like wtf dont mess FINNISH real snipers with US turkey shoot
Isolated people of hunters and farmers, who occasionally trade and other collaboration with people from both east and west. People mostly lived in small communities, but some bigger, city-like communitiea were formed as trading centres near baltic sea coast. As a location, Finland was somewhat important to vikings, as their trade route passed through there, but Finns as people werent important.
I actually didn't really like that movie, it was again one of those "super soldier" movies. which america keep making.
they are quite annoying in my opinion.
Sorry that you didn’t like the fact that our military is the finest in the WORLD…
@@MrSpudz2 so why does it keep loosing then.
Their is a difference between loosing, and when the liberals politicians don’t have the intelligence to use a country’s military properly
@@MrSpudz2 excuses.
Kossolax the Foresworn, sounds like you now talking out of your ass…
TraceurMikado Absolutley right. Sniper is a marksman that shoots from concealed areas, and his precision-rifle (scope or not) is sniper's rifle.
There's no such thing as a sniper rifle, only a rifle that sniper uses(or should I say turns into a deadly weapon).
Si\m/o Hayha!!!!!!!!
In military and law enforcement terminology, a sniper rifle is a precision-rifle used to ensure more accurate placement of bullets at longer ranges than other small arms. A typical sniper rifle is built for optimal levels of accuracy, fitted with a telescopic sight and chambered for a military centerfire cartridge.
Sniper describes a rifle AND/OR person.
white death a finn sniper no equip a scope
a-a killed 700 russians finn-russian war
best sniper ever
He had snow in hes mouth to cover hes breath and iron sight is better in winter warfare because it dosent give reflection and scope is not gonna get foggy. 505 kills with rifle and 200 more with smg. Only thing he said after war was
"Tein sen mitä käskettiin niin hyvin kuin osasin."
(I did what i was told to do as well as i could.)
WeeabooMatt you dont know anything about history do you
--Read the description before making comments about it--
Häyhä used a sniper position on civil guard weapons, M/28-30 "Spitz" rifle (serial number 60974), and unlike the Soviets opponents he preferred iron sights rather than telescopic sight. Lege, it was possible to obtain faster than the variable scope sight picture, in addition to having a glass fog up readily in the winter. Scope also sometimes reflected the light, revealing the location of the shooter at the same time.
It makes me sad you've taken a song about a legendary Finnish war hero and tried to stamp "murika" on it.
Adam Armstrong This is old, but do you even bother reading descriptions?
Who said that it was stamped as American?
Please read description guys :)
What was needed was a squad level designated advanced marksman who would act in the "marksmanship gap" zone from the 300m top out of the standard rifleman up to the lower operational envelope of the dedicated sniper teams who would take care of long range sniping out past 600m. These men were not true 'snipers' in the meaning of they did not freely roam detached from their unit stalking targets but instead were embedded inside a regular rifle squad and supported that unit exclusively.
This is me if ISIS comes to Scandinavia...
ISIS is already there lol
HAHA, i mean in a full scale invasion.
Baaws ! Terrorist groups don't launch full scale invasions.
"In military and law enforcement terminology, a sniper rifle is a precision-rifle used to ensure more accurate placement of bullets at longer ranges than other small arms."
Stop talking.
I hate this movie.
Mikehunt jaa
This video is awesome, for an awesome song! Great work...
thumbs down.
your in the bullets way the white deaths prey say goodbye
umm... right.
***** what
Death the Kid and you are in sniper sight the first kill tonight, say goodbye
Why Thumbs down bitch ? It`s a good track and a good video so shut up !! Lord Shit Storm !!!!
You did just lovely writing that. And you gave great information. And I am not surprised that he lived to 92. That man was one hell of badass.
One of the best Movies and one of the best Songs now thats a great Music Video!
Truly great job without a scope, Go Simo!!! R.I.P
It's the cheytac Intervention, a .408 rifle designed for antipersonnel sniping (as opposed to the barret line which tend to be Anti-materiel that are occasionally used for long distance AP sniping.)
it all starts with that first step we may stumble along the way but a dragon in training i do see. keep up the good work bro and breath fire on the ignorant comments .
Man i can just give u positive critics. This is great song and video also.I didnt love this kind of music but when i heard Sabaton last few days i just listen them.
Bravery, as I and many consider it, is to fight for something. (Most of the time) Often your nation. How you do it, doesn't really matter. (Except in some circumstances) If you shoot somebody from a distance, you're fighting for your nation. If you shoot somebody at a close distance, you're fighting for your nation.
That could be a reason another reason is the scope can give away your position with a glint, he also packed the snow down around him so the gun blast didn't throw up snow and even kept snow in his mouth so his breath did not give him away
Companies can call their product whatever they want, however we're discussing US army and USMC designations here.
How long "after the war" and nothing is impossible, Simo took a bullet to the face, survived, killed the guy who shot him, and got back to a medic by himself. The 500 sniper kills wouldn't have been impossible to get since the soviets attacked with a 3 to 1 advantage to the Fins, which makes it completely possible, Simo was in combat slightly less than 100 days
i know this has been said about a lot of ppl in the past, but i think this Simo hayha truly deserves to be called a bad ass.
"You've got no shot swagger!"
Glad to hear that =) Thanks!
Aye you are correct. A Sniper is the person using the weapon. and the type of rifles are "commonly" called sniper rifles. Same way Marksman rifles are used by Marksmen. The kind of weapons themselves vary. and Simo is a sniper indeed. using a Mosin-Nagan M28/30 without scope. as the russians would otherwise see the light reflection of the scope. hes an amazing man. All Finnish are imho!
Simo Häyhä is (guess) at this point world best sniper. When reporter asked about does he have bad conscience about that he killed so many red army soliders he said "I did what i was told to do,the best i can" and reporter did too ask how did he came so good sniper he said "Practice"
That movie was awesome and this Video too =)
it´s all about the scopes ;) they shine nice and bright on a sunny winter day
I saw this film thanks to this video xD It's really good
Great combination of song and movie!! Well done:)
Congrats for the awesome work!
Telescopic sight would also require raising the head of a few centimeters higher, which could be fatal. In addition, Häyhä developed especially wintry conditions suitable shooter tactics and technology. For instance, he froze the snow with water, so the snow would not trip the fly, and had snow in his mouth so that his breath resulting water vapor would not reveal the shooter.
Its just unbelievable what legends a world war can bring out.
The Belgish special troops from Resist and Bite, this sniper super assasine from this movie and then these guys like Hans Ulrich Rudel.
I bet Sabaton would make a song about his accomlishments with the anti-tank plane if he wasnt one of the nazi supporters after WW2 ended.
Actually he was called up in early December and was wounded in Febuary before the Winter War ended so he was only active with his KP-31 and Mousin Nigant for about sixty days.
Well, if you wanna go that deeply into it, he didn't use any M24s, M40s, M200s or M4s. Since he (According to my understanding of the movie) is not currently a member of the United States army, his weapons should not be designated with their army names, but rather by the production names: Remington 700, Remington 700 modified, CheyTac Intervention and AR-15.
The pre-christian Finnic people (I know the difference between Finnish and Finnic, in case you wonder) acted the same way as vikings. They are just not normally called vikings in historical context. They had a very similar culture and basically the same religion with the same pantheon of gods, just with different names.
Could you tell me please wich movies did you use for your video ? PS good job!
*points at his signature*
Love,
A soldier.
Really good video, I like it. Good job mate. :)
Decent music video. By the way, white death was a Finnish sniper in the Winter War, his name was Simo Häyhä.
He set some records with his Mosin-Nagant 7,62/43R rifle.
Shooter is great movie and this song is great too
7 people got a HEAD SHOT! :D the film and the song are great
Yeah, would be cool if sabaton released an official video, or a film as you said about him would be cool
Fun fact: Simo Hayha used Iron sights because he was too short to use a telescopic sight, In my opinion that makes him more of a bad ass.
Though I must say this was a good choice too :D
That's why he is pure awesome.
Good video for great song. Thanks and another hail to you from Finland. :)
@sk8teboardElement
Don't forget that he used M/39 ''ukkopekka'' rifle, it's less lethal than that rifle in vid...
Also he did put snow in he's mouth to hide he's breat (when it's freezing cold, your breath is kind of mist near your head and it's deadly mistake...)
Too true, ironically, some people don't know when someone insults then either, or makes fun of them, some people work in weird ways.
It's pretty common to shoot with your off shoulder in urban terrain combat. There are however two schools. One is simply switching your grip and the other one is switching shoulder but keeping the same grip. The later is of course impossible if you have a larger fire arm.
Coś Pięknego .
Let's Rock.
No, you've got it backwards. Marksman/Sharpshooter is the guy, sniper rifle is the weapon.
Love,
A soldier.
Hei R Elm,
good work, well done and thank you !!!
