Yes, although it was nominated for best adapted screenplay which is nothing to be ashamed of. Dafne Keen should have got more recognition though. She was outstanding. Some time look up her audition video with Huge Jackman. Her mother asked if she could ad-lib her part in Spanish, and you could just feel how Jackman was stunned by her outburst. You don't even need to understand Spanish to understand the emotion in her performance.

i agree. tbh it wasn't even a superhero movie because it didn't have all the bells and whistles of your typical marvel/DC movie. it was more of a story-driven, realistic, western with characters who happen to have special abilities. that's what i love so much about movies like this and the dark knight trilogy - they're just masterful stories with great characters.

I agree, as good as some of the other movies are, I liked this one better than the rest of them because of the emphasis on him actually having a daughter, and his mortality finally coming to its end.
As much as I hated to see him die, it would have eventually had to happen, and now the potential for future films with the daughter in it them will allow the legend if the wolverine to carry on if they can actually write decent storyline without Stan Lee, which I think that they can if they do not get to political with it as Hollywood has recently become.
I'm sick of Hollywood, and their attempt at getting "woke," which is nothing but a disaster for everyone.

A lot of being woke really consists of simple concept that all used to embrace and praise, but at some point started being forgotten. Sure, some ideas have been expanded on over time, some too far for their own good. Essentially it all comes down to simple human goodness, like, don't leave other kids out when it's times to play a game, stand up for others and what's right, the golden rule. People act like it's so wrong to instill these messages in pieces of art amongst whatever medium the creator chooses. I honestly don't understand how people have turned qualities like I mentioned above into such negative traits to embrace and promote in society.

I saw Logan twice in theaters and both times the entire theater (myself included) cried our eyes out.
For me the emotional impact is threefold.
    1) Because this one of the best movies I have ever seen in my life, even if it wasn’t a comic book movie I would love it to death.
    2) I was 10 years old when the first X-Men movie came out so I literally grew up with Hugh Jackman as my Wolverine so seeing him end his reign as this character was both heartbreaking and rewarding to watch because this is the perfect way to close out the story of Logan.
    3) My mother passed away 18 months before this movie came out after almost 10 years of fighting cancer, so seeing the deaths of both Charles and Logan was extremely emotional to watch. But in a way it was cathartic to watch because like Charles and Logan she had fought her heart out longer than anyone else possibly could’ve in her condition and after fighting for so long she had earned her rest.

Logan was dying of Adamantium poisoning because of the fact that his healing abilities were diminished. He'd been poisoned by the Adamantium all along, but when his healing factor was stronger, it could protect him from it. Some people speculate that his powers diminished with age, others that the GMO food the Doctor created to suppress mutant genes, might have been the cause. The clone, X-24 was an imperfect clone according to director, James Mangold. He healed smaller injuries quickly, but when he was impaled on that farm equipment, he needed that injection to handle all those major wounds. They also used a much thinner coating of Adamantium on his bones, which is why the bullet was able to blow apart so much of his skull. When Charles said that he remembered what happened in Westchester. He was saying that he finally remembered that he'd had one of his seizures and killed all of the other X-Men.

honestly i thought he was dying from the poisoning because of The Wolverine (2013) movie where he goes to Japan, at the end of the movie the bad guy in the giant suit chopped his claws off and started to drain his healing factor allowing the adamantium poisoning to exceed his healing abilities causing his body to slowly degrade over the years.

This was seen in the comic story arc where Magneto took away Logan's adamantium and he was just a regular dude with bone claws and a waaaay better healing ability. Wolverine has Adamantium fused to his skeleton - not a problem as long as he had all his healing-abilities...
But his healing was not working properly any more, so the Adamantium poisoned him and killed him in horrible ways.
Death was a relief for him.
Maybe, his healing got suppressed by this "cure" that ended mutations in human population. (I am not sure about that.)

27:20 As with a lot of scenes shot in all movies, several takes were done of the cab scene, and Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) needed to swear at Dafne Keen (X-23; she's also an accomplished gymnast and martial artist, so she did most of her stunts in the movie). At the end of all that, Jackman went up to Dafne Keen's mother and apologized for swearing at Dafne, adding that he has a child her age. Mrs. Keen replied: "That's okay. She called you a c*nt. In Spanish."
36:04 X-24 was created, just like X-23 and the mutant kids were.
Jackman was also happy to make this movie, as the role of the Wolverine required a lot of physical action, and Jackman knew he was getting too old to keep playing the role.
I must say, this is one of my favorite movies. Love the reactions, and thanks for watching it!

BUT this time it had a "meaning" the movie isn't bad, it's a SAD story, it's okay to not like sad, things, but the movie is in NO WAY a bad movie, it's actually one of the BEST. Logan has wanted to die for SO long because he has basically lived multiple life periods, and he watches everyone die but he keeps living, the downside of "inmortality". That's always been his trait, or a prominent one. This was even touched on every single X Men Movie, and both Origins and "The Wolverine". You should learn to see the "beauty" of a tragic story.
