  • Hey guys, today we tried out transfer paper from Kmart to try and make our own custom print t-shirts + totebag. It was easy, but I don't think it's gonna stay on 😅 Is all iron on transfer paper a little dodge or is it just this brand? 💀

i used a bit of this transfer paper for my senior drama project last year [costume design hehe]. i found it worked better when i turned up the heat on the iron and pressed it for a little longer. also,, it’s easier to peel off the backing paper right after you take the iron off the fabric,, the fabric will still be warm and the print is more malleable :))

and also pre ironing as per the instructions might prevent the cracking as well

Yes transfer paper can be iffy at times. My wife did something like this for her primary school class but it was D.I.Y and it worked great. She used plastic wrap to cover the drawings the students made, then a piece of parchment paper to cover it when you are ironing it on. The kids loved it!

These are so cute! I saw a brand of transfer paper a few years ago that was touted as being the absolute best available, but then when I looked into it again shortly after, it was no longer produced because a factory that made a key ingredient for it shut down. I know they were planning on reproducing it, but I cannot for the life of me remember what it was called. Hoping I come across it again someday and that it is still available because the reviews for it were amazing!
