They did change the game after this. They slowed the balls and courts, not only at Wimbledon. Modern racquets played on fast courts with fast balls created two monsters in the names of Pete and Goran who showed us what can be possible if you modernize equipment. They wouldn't change the racquets, so, the rest is history. On came the baseliners who reveled in the slower game - Djoko, Rafa, and Fed.
If you wanna see slow tennis check Roland garros the month before!!! This is how tennis on grass should be!! Fast on grass, slow on clay! Can't understand what's your problem
Honestly? This is nothing, zero. Two homies' Sunday afternoon serve practice at the local club sometimes with a bit of volley but not too much! There'll be a party that night. I would had asked my money back at the cashier.
Top quality tennis. These two are titans with so much skill, much more than today. Of course new generations are blind to see this...
Que el big 3 no

Two of the best serves ever. Both top 5 all time in my opinion... along with Isner, Karlovic and Federer.
Zna se Najjaca era i kraj...ovih 20god zadnjih to su eto neki momci kao nadal i novak...da su bili u eri samprasa nebi postojali
If anyone wonders why surfaces were slowed down and homogenised…just check out this match.

@@gianlucamazza222it’s too fast ! Ace, ace, ace. What is beautiful?
Their 1995 and 1998 matches were better... but they just never reached the heights they could have.
@@gianlucamazza222 just saw some of it - it was like they were playing on beach sand!!
@@sonlampham9685what is so beautiful in endless rallies from the baseline?

Worst final I've ever seen painful to watch
Totally agree.
I saw that this match was considered as one of the most annoying ever played, especially for a Wimbledon final.
It was a battle of serves and that was basically it. At least we could witness two of the greatest servers ever.
